    Can someone help me? I have a 2023 125 XC. Got jug back on but the power valve actuator won’t line up. It won’t line up with the notch to bolt the actuator solenoid back onto the jug. I’m stuck. I’m old school two stroke mechanic guy. Where did the little rod go! lol

    On the right side of the cylinder I accidentally removed the zed dimension bolt in the middle instead of the bolt to the right with the spring. What should I do?

      Usually you can see where the bolt was positioning the adjuster. If not you can just reset the Z dimension. No big deal.

    Not sure I follow the reason for the thread lock to be entered directly onto the threads vs. a little spread on to the bolt and then thread the bolt. I did hear something about air pressure pushing out... I've never used your method, never had any issues with a power valve bolt loosening. I love learning new tricks, though. I would also add, to actively work the power valve up and down as you are performing the installation and especially when you're done adjusting the power valve itself, make sure everything is moving freely and there are no binds or issues.

      It’s a detail, but when things go wrong details matter. In a blind hole the air pressure building as the bolt threads in has to escape through the threads. That pressure escaping will blow the loctite out. If you put it in the hole it won’t blow out because it’s not in the path of airflow.

    If i dont take out the bolt on 2:57 do i need to adjust it when putting back together?

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope. I definitely recommend checking it either way, but it shouldn’t need to be adjusted if you don’t touch that.

    Great video, Chuck. How do you know when you need to send your cylinder in for nikasil coating. Are you using the ring gap measurement to determine that?

    • @ChuckfromTrueTech
      @ChuckfromTrueTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The nikasil is only a few thousands of an inch thick. Once it wears through the coating you'll see aluminum showing through. Usually you'll see this above the exhaust port and at the top of the ring travel. I've got a good example of this coming up on a YZ250 cylinder.

    Is it pretty well the same on the 150?

      It’s quite different. Here’s the walkthrough:
