Many developers don't have to be held at gunpoint to make disappointing and stupid games today. I doubt the developers of this game, who called fans of Saints Row terrorists for criticizing the game and said "we don't need you!", were held at gunpoint when making it. It's more about the fuckheads they hire these days.

I feel like it would have just been better if the characters were deeper, i really only felt like i cared about them in like the 3rd playthrough because it didnt make them as deep as normal people. like Eli is the only one who cares about danger and he is the only one that actually has character development in that he tries to overcome his fear of danger so he can build the saints. But i wanted MORE of this. there was only one mission and then he was suddenly prepared for combat... thats not how it works.
I guess also there was a small bit of narrative where Kevin was captured by the Idols but Kevin being such a shallow character and having no real motivation to leave them besides his friends makes it uncomplicated and uninteresting. i think Kevin should have had a more devious identity and tried to stay with the Idols before figuring out exactly how messed up they were instead of just being like, "eh, im done with them, i only joined cause i didnt want to wear a shirt"
I also liked the Neenah's car mission and i wish we had more chances to see Neenah's life in Panteros because it has opportunity for depth that was never explored. Its the shame with all the characters, even the Nuhuali, - they all could have had more exploration into who they were. It would have rivaled cyberpunk in story if they just didnt skimp out on the actual plot.

@@ahhthatsjustgrand6502 the gaming community asked repeatedly for a remaster of SR1&2 nobody asked for this reboot , especially after releasing the 1st trailer where it, saints row 2022 had 100k dislikes to 24k likes and the comments all said to change this dog shit or scrap it. Volition made the game they wanted to make and ignored any criticism and advice to change it even after the game got delayed for 6 months. Volition was never forced to make this dogshit , Volition wanted to branch out and make other games similar to agents of mayhem but failed and bankrupted them so in a last ditch effort they had to go back and milk there only hit saints row one last time in a last ditch effort to save there sorry ass, and unfortunately for them all the people who worked on SR1&2 have been long gone from the studio leaving them with no will or talent thus resulting in this shit show of a game
It’s sad to think in a time of remakes, remasters, and reboot Volition won’t ever touch this game again, like they’re scared of making more money than what they could think

I don't understand why new school saints prefer SR3 and not SR2 the third game city is lifeless, and the npc are boring just walking around the city and most importantly there are no interiors.

SR2 has always been my favourite game of its genre since I was young. I like it more than any GTA game.
It's overrated at this point, it's good, but you guys could suck it off less.
Robbing stores was even better in the original Saints Row that started the series because you could crack the safe yourself and if you robbed the store at night you could rob the store of valuable in pawn it in a mini series that activates after cracking the safe.
I'd start a full chain of pawn raids in game and it would turn into major cash and respect bonuses. Like man, it was legendary
I love how robbing a store makes the alarm go off, especially some stores have that flashing red light go off after you rob the place.
Saints Row 2 is a nearly 15 year old game and it somehow manages to be better than the Saints Row reboot from 2022. Unbelievable.

Sr2 is the most technically impresive game in the series. Which is weird because when it comes to graphics the game is a downgrade compared to sr1
Just look at the car explosion physics in sr1,2 even better than the next games(GTA also loose with this car physics when the car got blown up.. gta only good for driving and the details they got with Guns)

There are mods for that, but none of them are that good. I mean they are pretty good but none of them make it look like a game that came out yesterday.

I have 3 remastered and 4 on pc and graphics is the the only reason I don't buy 2. It's dirt cheap but all the mods I've seen don't do enough to bring it up to 3:r and 4s standards

I am genuinely jealous of those people who are able to have fun in even such games. They are having the time of their life.
I had fun with Final Fantasy XV despite the backlash, would even consider it my favorite. The thing is, there are elements in the game u would enjoy, and as long as you are still interested in the series, you can definitely enjoy it for what it is. Not every bit of the game has to be satisfying to you or anyone.
U could buy a ps3 or Xbox 360 again if u want 😭

I'm amaze he didn't mention the car speed in the reboot. All cars feel like they go the same exact speed.
Not just that but the objectives in the reboot have you go across the map over and over compared to the original saints row games.

Also with environmental damage, in Saints row 2, you'll slowly gain notoriety based on what you damage. Human death being the highest notoriety as well as gun fire.
People bursr into flames if standing next to it... Then you run as fast as you can to save yourself (they missed the rolling, but SR2 has "fun" as their macimum goal, you dont have to restart missuons frim the start, just were you screwed 😂)
You forgot to mention the amazing soundtrack of saints row 2, that really transforming the game to something even more.

Cyberpunk definitely has a lot more interiors I’d say. Saints row 2 had alot more than I remembered for sure. Credit to the developers tho that it can be compared to a game almost 15 newer

The jumping from the car and shooting off the door weren't too bad in the new one, but it's sad that those are the only features in the game lol
sants row 2 is the best saints row game ever made .after I played sants row 2 I was shocked that this game shows how saints row used to be . it went from a gangster game to a non gangster game.
New game doesn’t give the gritty and rough realistic feel like sr2. They knew what to do and chose not to for their own reasons but they let a LOT of people down.

About the trees in Saint row(2022), they break easily when you drive slowly but they stand strong and don't bulge when you hit them at full speed (tested) 😹...... Reverse physics
The golden era of gaming is coming to an end
Yeah, it used to be £40 for a full game, no missing content and no patches or updates required. You got the full experience. Now its £60 for half a game, £80 for "Ultimate Deluxe Game of the Year Edition" (which is just the full game with no content intentionally removed), and £100+ for Ultimate Deluxe GotY Edition with season pass, which allows access to some half-arsed DLC and some worthless cosmetics 5 months after release. And God help you if you want to be smart with your money, and wait until the DLC is released so you can evaluate it before deciding whether to buy it. Buying the DLC separately if it's any good will cost about the same as buying the original game. What an absolute soulless money sink this industry has become.

The skill in Saints woke that allows you to shoot through walls is pretty much useless when you realize there aren't enough interiors to EFFECTIVELY apply it in. Ontop of that most enemies will surround you and often go around it. One if the many reasons that game is a mess.
Most of the skills are useless. Some of them just straight-up don't work, like the skills that give you a temporary weapon but it contains no ammo

I miss goofin' around with my buds in the Saints 2 co-op sandbox! Stunt riding at the trailer park was pure insanity. Hasn't been a co-op sandbox game like that since. I liked having the map to just me and a few friends. Can't think of a game that let's you customize your character's look or voice the way SR2 did either. Game was just pure, inimitable genius.
This days developers just focus on game graphics and textures details are in RIP.but this topic is not goes with "ROCAKSTAR GAMES" series
But unlike other companies . Rockstar cant protect their customers credit card and information which is more important than details in games .

This just further proves my point that humanity has peaked with video games, all the best games have already been made.
The 7th generation alone lasted 8 entire years from 2005-2013, all because the games produced during that time were such high quality and explored new boundaries. The business practices were also nowhere near as horrid and abominable as they are now.
The fun I had in saints row 2 and 1 😢 and let’s not forget tue cheat codes were fun like any gravity with super explosion 💥 shooting a grenade launcher off the AR was crazy
To be honest, I still manage to enjoy playing the reboot I think it’s extremely fun just to run around kicking a•s and taking names, I love the takedowns too and I think it was worth buying just to mess around in the game. With that being said, I do agree that saints row 2 is the best of them all. It has the most stuff to do and it’s awesome.

it's not broken per say, Volition just doesn't want us robbing storefronts for some reason. As for all the other stuff, I don't know why they cut back on so many of these types of interactions. It really drains the open world of personality and activity.

Saints Row 2 лучшая часть серии. Да The Third тоже отличная игра, которая местами уделывает 2 (по части оптимизации на Пк так точно), но всё равно различных приятных мелочей и деталей в 2 больше.
Saints Row 2 is the best part of the series. Yes, The Third is also a great game, which in places does 2 (in terms of optimization on the Pc, that's for sure), but still there are 2 more pleasant little things and details.
I recently decided to purchase this SR reboot given the discount on playstation. Ive enjoyed SR2 and SR3. Unfortunately, i got bored rather quickly. Graphics looks pretty good but thats really all there is to it. Atleast for me anyway.

We ran out of time to do everything but its a game I guess.
To be fair saints row reboot it’s still in beta like totally accurate battle simulator it was also playable but there where still many updates since it was a beta

They really just need to bring out the SR2 patch on PC already.
The Original Saints Row 2 first games. Still no open world games can't compete with what the 1st 2 games had to offer currently.
The biggest difference boils down to one thing, competition. Saints row 2 was made to beat out it's competition, which is why the devs put effort into the game. I bought saints row 2 the year it was released and never had any performance issues.
Saints Row, you're paying for a demo. The devs no longer have to worry about competition, all they need to do is advertise and people will buy regardless. I hate to be a negative nancy but the video game industry is a dead horse being beat

Another thing I noticed is that fights in saints row 2 are more realistic. In saints row the third two or three punches kills someone, but in saints row 2 it takes at least five or six punches to put someone down. Another attention to detail removed.
