This worked 1st time! 2 days later & no "moisture detected" & it's fast charging with "C" end directly in port! I mention that because would only "cable charge - 6+ hrs" on a Sony wireless fast charger when faulty "moisture" notification was on. Not very helpful for road trips! Also, my battery is lasting 2x as long since I did this! Was going to order the new Z Flip because I've always loved Samsung over iPhone but this reminded me that this has been an issue going back to my Note 4! Just wanted to say THANK YOU for this 2-minute fix WITHOUT rice, compressed air/napkin swabbing, toothbrush up portal, clearing of cache or the dreaded factory reset - which is all I had found prior to your video here! this bypass method worked ! I was shocked as to how this started to come up when my phone was never wet. But kept making this awful noise. I held button down and plugged it on after turning on the message never came back on. Time to invest in a wireless charger thanks samsung

I was able to stop tht popup and scary alarm with this technique but pluggin to an adapter still didnt charge it for me. Thnx to the comment below, what worked was to plug it using usb type C to my pc and now itz charging like a charm. Thank you for this video!

@hi amalia keep trying sometimes it takes a while to get it to work you have to just keep messing with it those instructions and then eventually if you can never get it to come on it'll charge up and at least you can get all your data or whatever you need.

But first I also cleaned the charging port , then I took my hair dryer and dried it and the notification was still on I started getting frustrated cause I tried all the methods they said to try and I even Uninstalled 3 of my recent apps and restarted the phone like 3 times Then i finally tried this method Also my phone wasn't in any contact with water but it was pretty nasty inside

That was my son's phone and I was actually about to throw it away and just get him another one but I tried that and it worked so he's been using it it's still giving it the phone actually goes dead like if he's playing on it and lets it go totally dead it'll give that error message again and I've tried a bunch of stuff to fix it physically but nothing fixed it so probably just let him use it like that for a while and get him another one
I can verify this does not work when you are at 0% - I tried tons of times with no luck and then I was able to borrow someone's wireless charger and I let it get to like 3% and tried this trick again and it worked fine. Thanks!
I have seen some cases where the charging cable is not charging it or having a problem and they tried different charging cables and then they were able to get it to go but good information about the wireless charger thank you 👍
Your method helped me 3 days back. But the same message of moisture detected came while I was in the bathroom. No contact with water but probably the humid environment there? I am sorry to say this method is not helping this time...any suggestions?

Hey everyone! For me, it unfortunately didn't work and no, my phone was completing dry and was not in a cold room. So what did I do? I waited for my phone to completely turn off until it was 0% and left it for about an hour or so. Then, I charged it and it worked because as the phone was off, it lost all the data of a wet USB port.
Hey man I’m glad that you’re trying to help people but there is a reason the phone indicated that the port is wet or that it detected moisture. The reason for that is so that the liquid doesn’t Corrode the metals in the port there for making the life of the port Significantly shorter. The phone is programmed to tell the buyer the issues that come with it.. there is a way to over right this (the video you made) but it’s not recommended as it can destroy your charging port in the future. Keep up the amazing work and keep looking out
Liquid? Sure, in some cases obviously. But in 99% there's NOTHING wrong. My phone at the moment has this exact issue for the second time and I can guarantee there's no bloody moisture in the charging port.

What the fuck!... My S20 ultra is supposed to be water proof. It's been just a month and a half since I got it. This is just a way in which Samsung makes you buy a wireless charger.

Yeah sometimes it takes a lot of tries and other people have commented that they did the same trip but they had to change their charging cable and then some had to change their charging cable and or charger but they eventually got it going good luck 👍🏻
Yup. But this didn't fix it. There's a video by a young black guy who shows how to use a "weak" aftermarket charger and that is what finally put Mt problem to bed permanently!
Some people were able to swap out the charging cable and try it again and they finally got it working and others swapped out. The wall charger and they finally got it working
Sorry to hear that, sometimes it can be a little wonky. A couple times it took me awhile to get it to finally come on you may also have to try a different USB cable charging cable and or charging adapter. There was times with his phone he'd let it die and then I'd have to go through the routine again to try to get it to come back on and sometimes it would take me like 10-15 minutes is sitting there trying different things trying different cables and I'd finally get it to come back on and I would say don't let it go to 0% or it's going to be such a pain to get it to come back on so eventually I got all this data off and just got him a new phone cuz I got tired of trying to get it to come back on. Also make sure that when you do plug in the cable that it's getting to the charging screen like something's coming on the screen I know somebody else said they were trying this and it didn't work but they were not getting anything on the screen not to charge light or anything so they try to different cable and that fix theirs.
This really just works to get the phone past that stage or error message. What's the phone fully dies and you try to charge it and bring it up you just get that error message and order anything else if you can charge the phone wirelessly and that works then you're good to go but I would think what you charged at wirelessly and got it where the phone is on then at that point you could plug in the cable.
Some people have commented that they changed their power adapter and then others changed their power adapter charging cable and then they were able to get to the work so you might want to try different power adapter and powered cable and see if you can get it to work that way once you can get it turned on at least you could get all your dating and stuff and as long as you don't let it go to zero then it'll continue to charge 👍🏻
I have samsung S20FE. Anytime !!! I plug in the cord, I get the water ERROR SCREEN warning to unplug...buttons held, not held, etc. I blew out the part with compressed air, I heated it with a hair dryer .... nothing has worked. 😔
Yes it turns back on but once it's on it's beeping non stop about moisture and just turns off again. SIGH this is ridiculous, I want to see the phone blow up from this imaginary moisture tbh
Some people commented on here and said they tried different charging cable and some people said they tried different charging the different charger adapter and they were able to get it working sometimes you just have to keep trying and try those things and hopefully it'll work

Ok but had my phone on a fan for over 12 hours with the port facing the fan it still was on. And it never got truly wet in the first place

Easy fix is to make these phones properly that sensor is way too sensitive.
This trick didn't worked on my galaxy S9. It would try to start but die in the process and not complete the startup process.

There was times with his phone he'd let it die and then I'd have to go through the routine again to try to get it to come back on and sometimes it would take me like 10-15 minutes is sitting there trying different things trying different cables and I'd finally get it to come back on and I would say don't let it go to 0% or it's going to be such a pain to get it to come back on so eventually I got all this data off and just got him a new phone cuz I got tired of trying to get it to come back on.
Also make sure that when you do plug in the cable that it's getting to the charging screen like something's coming on the screen I know somebody else said they were trying this and it didn't work but they were not getting anything on the screen not to charge light or anything so they try to different cable and that fix theirs.
My a34 samsung is giving me this damn problem. Is not even wet or dirty. I can't fix the issue.
for me flushing it with pure alcohol based solvent resolved problem

Hi. Does this work for s20 ultra? I did tried..but nothing work. Wireless charger is pain in the arse for me
This really just works to get the phone past that stage or error message. What's the phone fully dies and you try to charge it and bring it up you just get that error message and order anything else if you can charge the phone wirelessly and that works then you're good to go but I would think what you charged at wirelessly and got it where the phone is on then at that point you could plug in the cable.

Some people have commented that they changed their power adapter and then others changed their power adapter charging cable and then they were able to get to the work so you might want to try different power adapter and powered cable and see if you can get it to work that way once you can get it turned on at least you could get all your dating and stuff and as long as you don't let it go to zero then it'll continue to charge 👍🏻
I have samsung S20FE. Anytime !!! I plug in the cord, I get the water ERROR SCREEN warning to unplug...buttons held, not held, etc. I blew out the part with compressed air, I heated it with a hair dryer .... nothing has worked. 😔

Yes it turns back on but once it's on it's beeping non stop about moisture and just turns off again. SIGH this is ridiculous, I want to see the phone blow up from this imaginary moisture tbh

Some people commented on here and said they tried different charging cable and some people said they tried different charging the different charger adapter and they were able to get it working sometimes you just have to keep trying and try those things and hopefully it'll work
