The Fiat convertible at 2:24 onwards is an OG Fiat 124, the model that they tried to revive recently using the ND Miata platform. I'd never expected to see one in one of your junkyard videos, nowadays they are pretty rare even in Italy
See this why you are one of my favorite youtubers you show respect for cars that arent of much interest to you. Im trying to teach my son to respect all cars because at some point each car was someone pride and joy. You are helping show him that. You are inspiring a younger generation.
Your junkyard videos are easily some of my favourite you put out, seeing all the cool ass cars that just get scrapped hurts but it's nice to see them getting put to use. dude that ford probe at 11:45 made me rewind, I thought I saw a damn e31 😭
As a guy from Spain, seeing that Fiat 500 in the junkyard was so weird to me, I thought they were only sold in Europe, lol. it's a pretty common model on car rentals here or in cities that have tight roads and streets. Most models are a 1.2 NA btw.
I finally got to know how old you are :D I was born in 94. 90s kids FTW! I like these junkyard videos, actually my career started in a junkyard as a mechanic
@14:52 Mike get the van and get it back on the road you need it for a work truck and would be awesome to see it back on the road.. awesome video as always buddy
thanks for stopping by the camaros! i have a 94, and there are literally none around me in junkyards. gotta drive about 3 hours, one way, just to look at a couple
3:59 That looks like a Buick skylark, either 1966 or 1967. Those GM A-body cars can look good, and it would be awesome if someone brought some Japanese style to one. The wheels are from a late 90's GMC Sonoma ZQ8.
The ford probe was supposed to replace the mustang. That's the reason the fox body style went on for so long. Ford had no plans to continue it but it gained a cult following and when the probe was announced as it's replacement the fans went crazy.
the van at 15:00 is a nissan vanette c22 i used to own one it was beaten to hell when i got even though it needed few hours working on it every weekend to make it run again but i just loved that van, i miss it and wish i had the time and money to fully restore it..
That was my favorite color of 240SX. It was the one I always wish I had found. Instead I had a burgundy 92 fastback with a manual; it was my first car, and only $500 when I bought it with my own savings at 15 ( _Tokyo Drift_ wouldn't release til nearly a year later). I still regret selling it. The paint was rough but the body was straight, no frame rust, and I had painstakingly swapped the entire interior from another junkyard 240SX (including an uncracked dash and unripped bucket seats). I was in debt and I needed to not be, and I was a student and working part-time, so my hand was forced. Oh well, that was then. Now I have a $900 89 Prelude Si (also manual, also red), so at least I have something to have fun with.
Hey I was born in July 95 too. We said that in unison. 😂 Pretty interesting seeing a walkaround of a US junk yard by someone who is into Japanese stuff. Usually people are fawning over the old American things that I know nothing about. Its neat to see all the differences the USDM models of the japanese cars have.
I love the junkyard videos!! So for the Sebring Coupe, it was a venture with Mitsubishi and Chrysler/Dodge, there was the Avenger Coupe, the Sebring Coupe and then of course the Eclipse. My younger brother actually had a sebring Coupe for a good while until he blew the engine lol. For the PT Cruiser, they all had that really cool shift knob on the autos and manuals, possibly the only cool thing about them. Now one thing super rare to find with them in a junkyard is the hatch versatility shelf! I’ve only ever seen one in the junkyard with it still in the back, but cool nonetheless.
12:48 lmao i own a ford probe 2L and i always get the "whats this car is it a 240sx? An rx7" it is insanely rare where i live. I love this car tbh, i turboed it and its super fun to drive, its really the walmart 240sx xD so unfortunate they didntget rwd. Its all mazda except the bodywork and interrior btw
It interesting to see how other places junk yards are compared to the ones I have. We have NO organization at all. so its an all day search for anything. And most of our yards are pre 2000's stuff. I think it would be hard to find anything newer. DUDE, you should totally do a "Across the country Junk Yard Tour" checking out yards from different states. That would be fun!
12:02 they where sold in germany as opel omega in australia as holden commodore in the uk as vauxhall omega and in the us cadillac catera they where made in germany with small optical changes
Them old Toyota vans actually had the 4 cylinder Celica/Supra SR5 or Toyota .8 engines with Webber set-up, and a non slip Posi rear end!. They were no joke on the streets back in the 80s and early 90s... You should really try and find one to test drive Mike! Trust me it's worth it! They're fun.
love the junkyard videos, some random thoughts throughout cause why not. 3:28 an amg car, those have some nice wheels. that's all i got to say about that tho, couldnt tell anything else about them. 3:57 looks like a Buick Skylark from 67. Had a slightly different front end from 66, back when facelifts were introduced practically every year and new models every other lol. Usually can identify just the years of these cars because mid 60s-early 70s were very angular in design, then during the early 70s gas crisis hit and everything was weird (see: amc gremlin, mustang ii) , and then the 80s came around and everything was boxy and less angular. 90s got bubbly (catfish camaro, sn95 mustang), and then the 2000s saw a little more joyous designs. that's typically how i just remember things. 5:39 yeah pretty standard for american cars. we used those things til like, the mid 2000s lol. 11:30 love the sanyo stereo. sanyo made absolute junk throughout their whole life but i still love them for that. i regret selling my sanyo mbc-555, the computer was so bad they had to make detailed guides on how to make a lot of software work because most of it was natively incompatible. just a fun thought i have.
8:03 That is a swedish 2JZ, you can push really good power out of those for CHEAP. Comes stock with 301 Horsepower. Bit more boost and you are in the 400-500 hp Range. A lot better than 1jz's
my mom had a black Ford probe with a red cloth interior and some aftermarket chrome wheels on it.. I was just a little baby back then so I don't remember it but I think it'd have been a pretty sweet ride for the time
The one you said looks like a sentra is actually a Cadillac from GM. Us Europeans have that as Opel Omega, this particular one is pretty much the ''1st gen'' Opel Omega :c As a 2nd gen Omega owner it always excites me to see those cars around the world Idk why
So strange seeing those badged as Cadillacs. They were pretty popular motorway patrol police cars in the UK but otherwise didn't sell so well so pretty rare.
That was a nice walkthrough visit at the junkyard. Some of the cars have better paint condition than my daily driver ☺️. I would love to build a 190E someday (probably my favorite Mercedes of all time); the dream is to do a Evolution II style DTM kit and swap in a 1uzfe (just for a little more power, but mostly for reliability)...but that is just an empty dream for now. Hopefully later on. Thanks for sharing!
13:27 Out of all the junkyard trips I've been on, I have only seen 1 Miata, a 1990 that had a Fast & Furious style catfish looking body kit and a spray paint yellow paint job
My uncle's hyundai tiburon had MUCH MUCH worse rust than that integra it almost rusted to the fuel cap but he fixed it. He didn't want to throw away that car. :)
12:01 That is opel omega 2nd generation pre facelift, that car is rwd. They was selling them in UK under Vauxhall, and in USA they sell them under Cadilac or Chevrolet. Nice video👍
That old rusty car that he found I think it’s a Chevrolet SS that he can think of but still it was an amazing video. I love people who go through junkyards and look for cool but rusted old cars
7:22 K5 Blazer (desirable actually) if frame is solid (it wont be) The tops were valuable and could be stolen easily, so they etched the VINs into the glass
another cool junk yard video that 240 looked cool definitely need to get that harness pull the side windows hard to come by them with the 240 logo keep up the cool content bro love it ✌
9:56 sad sight to see, that white one in the middle is a 03-11 Lincoln Town Car, looks to be a Cartier or Executive edition. 4.6L 2v ford motor, runs forever, handles nice and great car all around (coming from a Chevy guy)
Your correct that was a k10 chevy blazer with the piss on ford sticker. Good ol sk8 backpacks, me n my buddys all rocked dakine backpacks that also hold your skateboard.
Hey Mike I think the reason the eclipse was in the domestic section is because it's technically a dsm which was American only even though it's technically Mitsubishi
I had to laugh a bit when Mike said 80's... but he's a relative youngster compared to the car, so understandable... Are you sure it's a '67? Assuming wikipedia isn't wrong, they're saying that was offered in 68 and 69.
@@Papajin68 Yeah 66-67 look very similar but judging by the grille, this one is a ‘67 and the GS400 option was actually available in ‘67 as well. If it’s a real GS then that’s a pretty rare car.

Man wish I could find a single s13 in my junkyard, I need that chassis harness lol. Last time there was a 240sx in my junkyard it was stripped in days!

@@PrizzaMike im not rlly into them but I've seen A LOT of ppl do it, its simple, change the intake manifold to the rwd change the engine mounts to the rwd ones and i dont think it needs something else
19:06 SR Sentra I know it's FWD, I'd like to know why it wouldn't work with an S chassis or any car at that? Couldn't you convert it from Fwd to Rwd? Or is it just not the same as the Jdm Sr? I've seen a guy take a Fwd Sr and made it Rwd and installed it on his FC Rx7. I'm just curious and would like info.
I don’t think the block has the engine mount bosses in the same place so it would need to be modified (and welding a cast aluminium block wouldn’t be advised). There’s probably some other changes like coolant passages going different ways to line up to the radiator etc, Others in the thread have mentioned that the fwd Vvl head can be used on some rwd blocks though
@@HannahFortalezza this guy named miguel gaitan Has an FC Rx7 Sr20vet FWD to RWD swap. So I was wondering why Mike said it's a no go, you know. Sure some modifications will need to be done. Also thanks for your input
At 12:00 it is a Cadillac, namely Catera. Basically a rebrand from Vauxhall/Opel Omega B from EU (Vauxhall in UK, Opel in the rest of EU) cheap car, rusty but reliable (at lest mine is) :D
The great thing about B14 Sentras (95-99) is that they are literally a cheap 200SX with 4 doors You can literally interchange any part, making a 200SX with Sentra parts, or a Sentra with 200SX parts

There’s probably some other changes like coolant passages going different ways to line up to the radiator etc,
Others in the thread have mentioned that the fwd Vvl head can be used on some rwd blocks though
@@HannahFortalezza yeah the mounts will need to change, do you think there's other reasons?

Has an FC Rx7 Sr20vet FWD to RWD swap.
Hey, one of your integras would be a cool build, maybe you should turbo one of those for another project😅
I still have my old element back pack
The great thing about B14 Sentras (95-99) is that they are literally a cheap 200SX with 4 doors
You can literally interchange any part, making a 200SX with Sentra parts, or a Sentra with 200SX parts
2:41 that’s a really really rare Fiat 124 spider. Here in Italy they are like 40k euros, so bad seeing this :(
if you happen to come across a first or second gen nissan xterra, check the trunk for a first aid kit. those usually sell for around 300-400 dollaras.
They came with an OEM first aid kit?! That's insane!
@@PrizzaMike yessir! Very weird but cool cars. Been looking for a first aid kit for my grandpas for a while, his is about to hit 300k!
Fwd ka24s and sr's do work on 240's. You just have to change a few things to make them work
Man I'd love the sail panels off that fiero
