for those of you who are newer, the instructions could be slightly different.
so far, here is what i found:
- the tabs on the right menu in blender will now only show the selected game from the fast64 global settings under the fast64 tab
Great tutorial Rovert, glad to see you're back making them. The volume level and audio sound a lot better in this one, keep it up!
i like how this was made soon after i stopped using decomp
Honestly, I stopped using decomp because I couldn't find any good videos, but Rovert and this other guy make some really good stuff!
@@RosieSapphire what other guy?
How do I tell what refresh on Decomp I'm currently on?
Your doing a lot for this community, time to get some more devs on my project heheheheheheheheheh
fr its great
Hell yeah brother, thanks for the guide
i liked it too mr guthan
How do you import a level from the base game like whomp's fortress or the castle lobby into blender?
New Decomp just dropped
awesome!
How’s everything been with your “Beyond Cursed Mirror” project? I’m totally looking forward your ROM hack of that the most (besides Kaze’s Return to Yoshi’s Island) as well.
It's going well. There are currently 35 stars complete! I still see my hack meeting the 2022 release date despite being pretty busy as of recent.
@@rovertronic Awesome!!! Honestly, the excitement I had playing Star Road (by Skelux) and Last Impact (by Kaze), is the same excitement I have for the upcoming "Beyond Cursed Mirror" and "Return to Yoshi Island". Those hacks have sooo many creative ideas with a SM64 engine, or even some of the physics changed too!
when i click the tick box it just shows an error how do i fix this
very good tutorial... im late but one question: in 4:05 you said that the maximum size of textures are those from the screen.
But by that do you mean the whole game can only contains:
- just 1 texture of 256 x 8?
- or just 1 texture of 128 x 16?
- or just 1 texture of 32 x 64?
If this is true, i think is impossible for an average fan to make a variety of textures with some details on it.
Is there a way to export the models from sm64 mods and then import them after modifying them into your mod?
great!
Why do you have the Baldi Slap Sound effect?
Great video, could you do a tutorial but for Zelda OoT? It would be very useful
I'm also looking one for OoT as well. Not finding anything sadly.
Can someone explain the warp system in more detail and more updated?
I'm following this mostly for OoT. I can learn to make OoT stuff from following the SM64 guides. These guides are a big help, Thank you! :3 I can learn SM64 along the way too. I have a question, any idea why OoT Tab isn't showing? I followed EXACTLY what you said in the video. Installed the main file zip file, etc. Hope someone can give me some ideas. Its for a map I want to make. Thanks. ^_^ I'm only missing the OoT Tab. Its getting annoying, hope someone can reply. :(
Hello ! I just downloaded it myself, and I think there might have been an update to fast64 since this tutorial came out. Now, when you go in the "fast64" tab in blender, under "fast64 global settings", you can choose either SM64 or OOT.
@@kopkoful I figured that out like 2 days ago but ty. :) sure others would want to know this too. :) Hopefully someone will make a Fast64 tutorial for OoT in the future. Duno why people who are making maps with Fast64 are keeping it to them selves. I'm a pretty slow learner I used to make maps using Sketchup and SharpOcarina in the past. But now its on a whole different level.
Does this work for Mac?
Still confused what you mean by "recompiling the game" I am able to export with no problem but nothing changes when I load the rom in emulator
You need to type "make" into the compiler (ubuntu) again so that the changes compile into the game.
Is there a way to get the blender model for the monkey in TTM?
Yes! You need to import the model from a mario 64 ROM. I'll make a tutorial on that soon.
finally, i can import beta bully model (with 1 horn)
impressive
😱
I CAN'T PUT THE TEXTURE
can i use the fast64 plugin in blender 2.79?
nope
@@rashmichhabra4750 oh ok, thanks!
I discovered how to use it before this came out
鸡老师的教程简直就是保姆式安排啊
you remind me of scratch from aosth
nevermind its an exact match
ah, yes, creating models is a skill that requires *skill*
smash
n doesnt do anything
For those who are way too familiar with blender, you can skip these steps:
1 (you already have blender), 3 (you likely know how this works), and 4
n doesnt do anything
Is your mouse pointer over the viewport window?
@@alessiotomasetti835 it was. I have no idea what the issue was but I gave up. im learning blender in a more conventional way now rather than using it that one time as a tool for Mario 64
