I use the travel cards from Com bank. Every country has scammers and undesirables. I believe it is worth reporting to the police because if they get enough complaints they might try to stop it, you won't get your stuff back but it may stop them in the future. Well done Muzza.

We will be over there soon although we will be mainly in Sanur. We will still be careful. Thanks Muzza. Many years ago I changed money early in the morning and then when travelling around the island I asked my wife to check our money and sure enough I was short. Later that afternoon I went back to the money changer and gave him 3 choices 1. I asked for my short fall back 2. I would call the tourist police or #. later that night I would torch his hut. Quick as a flash I got my money back exactly without me telling him how much I was short changed. He had a good memory.

Hey Muzz, great video, this is exactly why I only carry a wise card with limited funds on it and I can freeze it in 30 seconds on the app or laptop if I lose it etc., and some cash or course.
Been saying it for years…nothing good happens in Bali after midnight and especially in that part of Kuta. Beware of over friendly women , ladyboys and kids in groups…they will try to distract you and then disappear on mass…
Like some kind of huge, free , magical vanishing act ? That's so cool.. 😮 I'll have to head back over there just to see all of these magically disappearing people ! Do I need to take the mushrooms first in order to see it better or does it just happen without warning naturally ?

Its in a back pocket or easy access part of bag. My real cash is well tucked away. As it happens ive never been pickpocketed but this tactic has worked well for a few people I passed the tip onto
Go and have a chat to your bank and see if they have a TRAVEL MONEY CARD and you should transfer $$$ between your primary bank account to your banks travel money card
My question is, are they doing anything to stop what they’re doing? Tourists from everywhere are choosing to go there, so they have to police the pick pockets
My daughter had her phone stolen in may outside Burger King in may was told by her mother me do not go out at night alone but do they listen NOOOO thanks for your info ❤️🙏😇
This is great advice. I try to avoid this area late at night. I think some travel insurance companies cover some loss of cash. I have had police reports done for travel insurance purposes and when my number plate was stolen in Thailand. You're right - always have a back-up plan.
I had two girls I met in that pool hall near old man's try to get me drunk, or drug me. She kept shoving her drink in my face, but she was also drunk and I could tell they were nervous. I was curious so I declined the drink and hung out with them for a bit, and eventually I caught the nervous one trying to get her hand in my pocket. I jus said "Are you trying to pick my pocket?" Then they just scampered off.
Muzza, thanks for this tip, me and the missus will be in Bali at the end of the month, staying not to far from the trouble hot spot, but then will be tucked up in bed by 10:30
Need to be careful of card hacking also. Was there for 2 months earlier this year & dispute my sister being hyper vigilant, never letting go of her card/ keeping safe on her at all times or in the hotel safe, her card was hacked & bank didn’t stop multiple withdrawals in a row & as she didn’t have mobile roaming on at the time she missed the banks notification, (which was basically after it happened), & account was emptied - fortunately not a lot in the account but was told unable to get another card until returning home. Didn’t need to call you Muzza as I had my cards still but since I often travel alone I’ll be using something like Wise next time.
@@Kerrie-c3b yes but for a 2 month trip didn’t want to take that much Australian dollars in cash to convert so needed the card for accomodation, activities …Didn’t know about Wise card then . I met a young woman last week who had her phone stolen in Sky Garden. I’ve met many men who’ve had theirs taken, always walking alone late at night, along the area you described. Muzza,my daughter came back from Bali last week and said the prices have increased a lot, and.that most places she went to eat they all now charge 21% tax on top of advertised pricing. Is this normal now in Bali.
Yes prices are going up.
