As far as i know the Asphalt series actually started as games for the Nokia N-Gage with Asphalt 1 and 2 released for it in 2004 and 2005. The port for NDS and the "advanced" port for PSP were afterthoughts if i recall it correctly. So Asphalt originally wasnt meant to be cheap or free.
I dig the mobile games that have Switch ports because 1 there's no MTX and 2 playing with actual controls is perfect for games that touted console quality gameplay i.e Implosion, Angry Shark , Geneon and so on.

My biggest problem with mobile gaming is the fact that you can't have tactile feedback from the buttons, so it's very easy to press something you don't want to press.
Back in 2012 I had a 3D screen phone, and some of the games in 3D were phenomenal. also, I loved how it turned all the videos in 3D without glasses. It was a gimmick that was a trend for a couple of years, for TVs as well, but I really liked it for a phone.
HTC Evo 4G 3D? My dad got that release month on Sprint. I remember him having me play the Gameloft Spider-Man and one of the Asphalt games to see how it ran 😂 The 3D pictures were a cool novelty too.

I’m honestly surprised the *WiiU* didn’t get games released just for the touchscreen. Imagine playing just with that… which’s what I legit thought the WiiU was at first. A mobile gaming tablet upgraded with a wii. Which honestly is a better idea than the WiiU which I wouldn’t be surprised if the switch got a tablet version at some point.

I love Final Fantasy Tactics. Loved it on the PSX and loved it again on the PSP. When I saw it was on mobile (Android) I couldn't wait for a sale. I bought it on sale maybe 6 or 7 years ago and just can't find myself wanting to play it. I always install it when I get a new phone but never actually play it.
I remember finding angry birds ps3 in a storage locker along with some other ps3 games with my dad. I played it immediately when i got home and got off after like 5 levels
for me it is still mindblowing that you could play gta 3, vice city, san andreas, not 4, chinatown wars, liberty city stories on something you could fit in your pocket

Yeah just the ability to play it on the train meant I could plug more hours into San Andreas and I actually achieved 100% which would be impossible for me on console. Controls are great and the game is so complete
Capcom put monster hunter freedom unite in appstore’s and it was SO cool to have on mobile, but was so god awful trying to play with touch screen, especially with how tight the controls of the main series are

Mobile games are very complicated, but maybe you should have started your trip on memory lane on palm games, there was an app named roach, that showed a roach running on your screen every time that you turned on the device, I couldn't find it for mobile, I remember that the best apps were a port of a tactics game, I don't remember the name, palm bubbles, a basic puzzle game and the legandary sand, that one was ported to android.
Fun fact, the "remasters" of the GTA trilogy we got recently are just the mobile versions. San Andreas is literally the same as the 360 version on the vid. Remake inception

This is why I just use emulators and COD Mobile. Having a Bluetooth controller for games on my phone makes all the difference to me.
