    I’m currently in my first year of nursing school and I’m definitely leaning into ER nursing to start my career when I graduate. Especially since I was an EMT who also worked in transport before nursing school. Appreciate the video! Getting paid to ride helicopters sounds like a cool gig that can never get old. Can’t wait to experience it soon

    I’m starting nursing school this fall. I have a back ground as an Emt, Wemt, and ski patroller. I’m really excited. I know I need relevant clinical experience in intensive care, that said I’m hoping to fast track my way into flights. Thank you for sharing this video, it was concise and very informative. You have a great personality, I hope that my colleagues will be as cheerful as you. Take care. God bless.

    I did flight nursing for 2 years,before that did ER for 3 summers and extensive ER experience throughout the years. Did travel nursing during COVID and last assignment was a cardiac ICU.

    I am a new nurse, LPN, working on a Neuroscience med/surg unit. Definitely a difficult patient population and not a job I love. I fell into that "you should start on medsurg" trap too but as an new LPN it is hard to get pediatric positions or ICU positions. I am in school to get my RN to pursue Peds, NICU, PICU, or anything that will get my to my dream job of flight nursing! this video was so helpful and honestly gave me more hope!

    • @aysiajanee
      @aysiajanee  ปีที่แล้ว

      aww I'm so glad you felt that way!! Yes definitely hard to get into peds. I applied for 6 months right after passing my boards and didn't hear anything and that made me go the medsurg route. Keep at it you'll get to your dream job!

    Hey would you please tell that does height matters in travel nursing? I'm 5.1" , also is travel nursing & flight nursing the same?

    • @aysiajanee
      @aysiajanee  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm 5'0 and it wasn't a problem! But I was contracted through a hospital specifically and not like a fleet, so that would be something to ask the specific job. Also no, flight nursing is a nurse that does air transports and travel nursing is a nurse that takes contracts in different states/ hospitals through an agency. If you google it should help :)
