- How to service your Lexmoto LXR 125cc
Today I was doing a service on a Lexmoto LXR 125cc bike it was the first service at {600 miles}, not 300 as it should the bike was already in a bit of a state not being looked after and the most dangerous thing was the chain was hanging off so I thought I would do a video on how to tension a chain correctly {chain health matters}

Probably should check tension again when bike is on the ground and you're sitting on it. Might find that play all but dissappears with the rider on board and the suspension depressed.
Your suppost to set them with no one on
ypur supposed to use chain lube not bearing greace
Says who the people who make chain grease
nice vid man, thank you
Thank you for watching
Hi, I tried to follow your instructions. Do you need to loosen both axel nuts on the E5 model? When I attempted to loosen the right axel, I didn't even need to hold the left axel nut in place as it never turned whilst I loosened the right axel. It also caused a tight spot in my chain. Both swingarms are also even. Appreciate any feedback or help. Thanks
you need to hold the left side and undo the wright side looking forward tight spots are usually caused by not using chain lube you may need a new chain
Great.
Thanks a lot 🙏
Most welcome!
hello.. please help .
flashing temperature light. lexmoto lxs . after starting the engine, the temperature light flashes
I dont know of the top of my head contact lexmoto customer service they will help you out

No problem
hello, you loosened the tensions, but how do you know they are at the same point to do half each side and stuff?
there are marks on the swing arm or use a tape measure
I have a question the top side of my chain is rubbing the swing arm am i missing something ?
It is ever too loose or out of alignment

hello.
how many nm of torque do you have to tighten that spark plug
8.7 ft lbs
Hi there I'm having trouble with my lxr could you help? When I'm riding sometimes the bike seems to loose power like the timing is off a little then it runs normally again any ideas on what it could be? It's got a new plug and tps sensor.
could be tappets could be idle control valve or even coil
OK thank you for replying I've got an idel control valve I'll try that first then.
Hi I have a question what do you recommend on tyre pressures for this bike euro 5. Manual says 32 front and rear but over people are saying rear should be more
On my pan wich is a very heavy bike it is 36 front 42 back so if you want to add 34 to the back it will be fine when i pdi thede bikes i allways do 32 front and back
Hi. Great vid once again. Is it perfectly fine to tighten without a torque wrench? Would it be safe?
I dont usually use a torque rench. Just make it as tight as you can with a spanner. i have never had a problem.
@@Ridingreviews thanks for that. Sorry one more question. You said a half inch (12mm) slack in the chain is fine. Is this pretty standard with 125s?
@@hibstillidie yes it states in most bike manual 10 to 20 mm
@@Ridingreviews thanks mate. Knowledgeable as always.
Just seen this iv got same bike attempting to do chain myself first time you said 10-20 ml but manual states 20-30 which is best
Hi there you mention ½ play on chain I did this a few weeks back and father I-law said that's to tight and should be alot slacker , he has a versys so not sure wether tension on those bikes are different??
the versys has a bigger chain but i would say on that even 1/2 inch play is fine
@@Ridingreviews OK great was wondering this . Thanks for clarifying.
@@MrToddy2012 no problem
How many litres does lexmoto take of engine oil ??
1.25 litre
Do you have to unlock the wheel nut in order to tighten the chain?
Yes on this you need 2 24mm spanners
@@Ridingreviews dam it hahaha okay thanks
How many Nm for rear axle nut?
Use the honda spec for a 125cc 59nm talque
hi riding reviews great video. how can someone bring a bike like that in that state?
Yoy would have to buy from us and get it shipped to you a very expensive way to do it maybe try alibaba
@@Ridingreviews i think you didn't understand what I meant. How can someone neglect their bike and bring it in that horrible state. he/she should not own a bike if they can't afford the service or to maintain their bike.
@@twowheeltherapy8695 ye sorry i didnt read it right this isnt bad compaired to some of the ones we do
Aren’t you meant to measure the slack in the chain bro
you can but no motorcycle mechanic does the all do it by feel and experience
What's yours spec on the rear sprocket please
What spec do you mean

@@michael-dm1up 4 to 6 thousanth of an inch
