    I believe this would have been a different outcome from a standing start. It takes torque to get em rolling. Rider weight is a huge consideration on a bike this size too. The large rider on the Rally as well as the load on the rear of it certainly factor in. Always fun to see how your bike compares with your friends, good video!

    WR 295lbs, 250L 320lbs, Rally 340lbs. The WR on the YZ frame is the king. Never heard anyone say they didn't like it. It out performs 400's and and even 650 dual sports. I'd like to see the R3 321cc added to the WR. I've previously owned a '13 250L and '17 R3. The new, fuel injected KLX 250, is pitiful. Kawasaki should discontinue and add the Ninja 400 engine in the KLX.

      Na. 300 all day. Iv owned a Wr250 and while it had Noticeably more power you have to keep that engine on the boil to get to that power quickly. All the clutch work gets old.

    Interesting.. just watched trek ethos do 0-60 on both the crf300 rally and wr250r. Same rider on both, both stock engine and gearing. The 300 was 1 second faster. I think you are just a better rider than your mates in this video 😅

      Exactly.... the 300L is even faster than the rally. Size of rider and ability makes a massive difference.

      The Rally in this video also has a tall windscreen with an extension attached.

      I agree, Trek Ethos is a more accurate comparison, he also mentions he is running lower than stock 13 x 47 gearing in another comment which would help acceleration significantly and it looked like a lot of weight on the 300 Rally. I have no question the WR is a better quality bike though, Aluminum Frame, better suspension, and other than the fuel pump issues very reliable. That said it was about 30% more expensive new and is unobtainable new now 😞.

    On many other video, CRF300 win.(Same pilot comparing WR and CRF Rally) On this video it’s not the same pilot. Maybe he is a heavy guy or a bad pilot. I don’t think this video is representative.

      The 300 has more usable torque. You don’t have to keep it on the boil like the WR

      @@IAmYourReflection We all had some luggage and varying rider weights. I'd be guessing if I told you any specific numbers. They're different. This isn't an exact science, just a fun clip to share.

    Should have done a 0-60 from a standstill. Rolling doesn't mean much people could be in different gears.

      With identical riders that would be a good test, but starting from a stop takes lots more skill and would differ a ton just by the riders.
