    Esse hino, tem uma importância grande em minha família. Meu avô em 1930 ,quando chegou em São Paulo ,Brasil investiu todo seu dinheiro no cultivo de café, nesse ano teve uma grande seca.Meu avô convidou todos os vizinho e passaram a noite cantando esse isso de madrugada choveu e salvando toda plantação.

    For the healing of the nations,
    Lord, we pray with one accord;
    for a just and equal sharing
    of the things that earth affords.
    To a life of love in action
    help us rise and pledge our word.
    Lead your people into freedom,
    from despair your world release,
    that, redeemed from war and hatred,
    all may come and go in peace.
    Show us how, through care and goodness,
    fear will die and hope increase.
    All that kills abundant living,
    let it from the earth be banned:
    pride of status, race or schooling,
    dogmas that obscure your plan.
    In our common quest for justice
    may we hallow life's brief span.
    You, Creator-God, have written
    your great name on humankind;
    for our growing in your likeness,
    bring the life of Christ to mind;
    that by our response and service
    earth its destiny may find.

    It is wonderful to hear these wonderful Christian hymns began sung in this historic cathedral. Will more videos of this type be available for viewing on this channel in the future?

    "Just and equal sharing" sounds like the congregation is praying for communism. Just is not necessarily equal. May God have mercy on us all!

      What are you talking about fool, Jesus was a socialist. Equality and sharing is the fundamental truth of Christ- read your bible!

      @@lukestamper1681 I do read and love the Bible Did you know brother, that in it Jesus said if we call someone a "fool" we risk hell fire? Maybe to be on the safe side you want to reword your criticism?
      Calling Jesus a socialist overstates the case. Jesus was about the heart. He called us to love and holy living. That is a different thing than government imposed socialism or communism.

      @@christianfrommuslim when Jesus told us not to call each other ‘fools’, is it set in the context of those who were unrighteously angry. There is a right to be angry, in these current time, at those who mask and parade around as Christians, when in fact they defy every teaching of Christ. One example being feed the hungry- no, let’s not increase social security for those struggling during this pandemic. Jesus would be furious at how everything is being handled right now. How did he deal with the market people and money lenders in the temple? It was righteous anger.

      Just is not necessarily equal that's so, so the hymn has a flaw, as many/most earthly things do. Indeed, on the Mount, Jesus identified a whole host of different (though maybe at times overlapping) ways in which people might be blessed. On this Earth, communism had a pure theoretical form, and the form people actually got, wildly different. It is not the WORD comunism we need to treat with fear or distaste, but the practice. But then we might ask how much of Jesus there is in free-market capitalism, American daily life at any time from the 1860s through to now, or the globalised economy? But the hopeful answer can still be: "as much as we strive to put there". The loaves and fishes were shared out with justice, but maybe not equally.... But the point was - all things come from You and of Your own do we give You. Musk and co. think on!!!
