E road to coosition processes.
I use Synthesizer V. You can check some songs I made on my channel, I dare you to tell it does not sound human. By the way, love your stuff man, you got a subscriber!
Honestly - if you played that for me and asked what I thought, I'd say it sounds like a marginal singer that someone cleaned up in Melodyne. So yeah, it sounds human, but it also sounds pitch-corrected. But it's early days still. In another 2 years no one will know the difference.
^^THAT.
fair summation, 5 years we won't be able to tell the difference
...or for the less technically minded, it sounds like a typical boy band voice!
its just missing the functionality to model the articulation on a song level. predicting context with the song, not just separate notes
Don't shit yourself.
more like bad 'traditional' autotune than AI. AI like Udio does a much better job of vocals.
It sounds sleepy/lazy. Like someone who really didn't put much effort into singing that day and there was no producer in the studio pushing them for a better performance.
Would I have been fooled into thinking it was a human if I didn't know ahead of time? In a mix, I think I'd be fooled.
As it stands now, I could see this being useful for filling out a choir. I don't think it's ready for lead/backing vocals yet, though, until it can carry more vocal expression. But the technology is advancing so quickly that it might be at that point in only a year or so.
Very good.
But, think, the Beatles did it over 50 years ago with just an 8 track...and listen to the difference...
Yeah, it sounded better 50 years ago. Or 56, to be precise.
The only audience that will appreciate this is ai-bots, 😀.
Also, obviously a pain in the ass and extremely time consuming to produce this kind of muzak.
It's impressive. All the new AI examples I've heard so far sounded like the modern overprocessed mainstream crap that is currently produced by the so called pros. So mission accomplished. AI can make singers sound exactly as lifeless, dead and replaceable as humans can do.
That will change in time, but for now, you are 100-% correct.
Exactly. For now, AI is just a danger for mediocre singers, actors, writers and artists that fill today's mainstream entertainment.
@@morbidmanmusic ...except for the part about this being AI.
when you say AI i imagine the software would do the tweaks by itself... when you do them, its your human intelligence making the changes to make it sound more like human and not the so called AI... mabe i'm wrong, maybe i'm not... when a software can be able to create it by itself then we will have a AI all made music,
The future of music is live performance
By ai robots...
@@MariuszCzubajno body is going to a concert performed by robots once it is no longer a novelty
By AI and holograms, yes.
@@gabet3514 Nobody is going to a concert performed by humans once the top stars of today die off. You'll have holograms of Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones on tour, and people will pay thousands of dollars to see it. Radio won't even play new artists.
Gross.
NEVER pass for the real human.. I was hoping, but NO.. its artifical
I absolutely love your version of "Hey Dude". AI thing is a cheats tool for crappy music. I don't want nothing to do with it. i'm happy singing harmonies, and playing instruments my self...i can't even bring myself to use a loop haha
Nice toys. Now go and make some real music. The time it took you to humanize the AI could be used to bring a real professional singer in the studio and have a real human vocal in it. Kind of renders the whole software useless doesn't it? And as someone said "creative people will save us, not perfected software". BUT it's an advertisement video, so I get it..
Hey Jude was the first record I bought with my pocket money back in the day. Would I listen to this "dude" singing it? Nah, I would not. I'd rather listen to Claudio himself singing it tbh. At least he's clearly human (at least I think he is 😛) and that makes a massive difference. It's all the little gasps and croaks and wheezes and little mistakes mixed in that make a vocal performance work, a bit like you can't really write out a piano part in MIDI unless your making piano house of something, you have to actually play it or it sounds flat and stale. Same with drums. You cannot make drums groove on a piano roll, you have to whack 'em in with your own hands or at least your own fingers. You need all those little errors and above all you need some personal foibles and unique characteristics of the performer to touch people hearts. This AI, anyway, struggles mightily on the personal foibles and unique characteristics front IMHO.
If that came on the radio while I was driving down the motorway, I wouldn’t question it. Seems like I’m the minority though as we have plenty of “experts” here who claim it’s nowhere near human…funny how seeding the mind works. Would be highly amusing if you turned around and fold us that the final void actually was a human vocal recording, lol
Mmmmm... that AI voice can be surely used for demos and pre production purposes, but lacks character and colour; it has no soul. IMHO
As for the music, playing and engineering side: you're great as always!!! :)
To me it didn't sound natural. It sounded like it was sung in one breath, even when it was about to jump up to the higher register where you would expect an actual singer take a deep breath. It also sounded really flat (expression-wise, not pitch-wise), especially in the high register. Most people who don't know much about singing or production would be fooled, but I can't see why any serious producer would even consider this tool for lead vocal duties. I could see this being used to add more voices to a choir, but I wouldn't even use it for vocal harmonies. It just isn't expressive enough.
I have to say that Claudio sounds like so many recordings of today: too clean and too processed. If AI will start to sound human I will be so surprised. Perhaps only a matter of time.
Sorry didn’t do it for me, definitely not human. Great vid though guys. Always fun! Cheers Dave
Easy to say when you already know.
@@X22GJPyes that’s true and I am bias, I really can’t see the point of AI in this context. Yes AI is great for solving problems, finding drugs to cure diseases etc, but you take away human creativity, you take away the point of humans. Sorry just the way I feel. Cheers Dave
Sorry, but no human voice have that fine curve, thats the first mistake.
If you take the time surely you can edit it till it sounds as good as you can imagine.
I originally subscribed to this channel for one reason... Musical integrity. I definitely did not come here to watch you champion A.I. and help it butcher The Beatles. To say this is disappointing and disheartening would be an understatement. A thousand lazy wannabes and corporate bean-counters are going to abuse this to no end, to undermine the humanity and soul of music, and sidestep the need to employ or celebrate those with the gift and the talent... Perhaps you, of all people, Claudio, could do better for the future of real music. Cheers!
Hmm, I see your point. However I've always embraced tech early. I'm 52 and I have always learned new tech before everyone else, and while most were skeptic or crytical. I was earlier than most on every new tech that was deemed scary at the time: drum machines, MIDI, computer music, samplers, digital audio, the internet, websites, youtube... which is why we're having this conversation. AI is coming wether we like it or not. I rather use it than be the victim of it.
@@Doctormix I respect that, Claudio, I really do. Moreover, I completely understand. I'm a 35-year touring musician and music technologist myself, having worked with many tech designers, over the decades: product consulting, beta-testing, and road-testing gear. Like you, I've always been out there on the bleeding edge of music tech, with great enthusiasm. However, a drum machine can't steal a human identity or their likeness. A.I. marks a distinct moral, if existential, tipping point for all humanity. Oh, it's coming alright. So, send it to explore deep space. But art, music... Really? As I said, you have the power to preserve something sacred here, to inspire the next generation of musicians to apply themselves. Any idiot will be able to use this tech in a few years. In the meantime, I suggest that we musicians champion our craft, and share something real with those who aren't so lucky. Cheers!
Maybe Paul McCartney could help you out.
over produced, if done right, you wont be able to tell, but you need to leave in some small imperfections
7:13 Hey, dude!
Hey, sweet!
@@Pluto1010, not that much actually. Just an ordinary man.
You should do a breakdown and recreation of Perturbator's God Complex. That would get a ton of views. Keep up the awesome sound.
This looks like Melodyne, NOT A.I.
What am I missing here ?
Bill P.
Yeah it is more of an AI assisted tool that makes recorings of vocals "better" but it does not generate vocals from scratch, kind of like Melodyne but the user interface looks more modern and beginner friendly.
This also lets you change the sound of the vocal (I.e. by selecting a different vocalist) but once you’ve done that’s, you’re very much into melodyne territory.
@@MeAndSomeRandoms I see, thank you for the clarification. 😀
I would use this kind of program if it were a software plugin. I'd rather not have to do editing on someone else's website. At least that's what it looks like to me.
I hit the like button just to applaud your enthusiasm. I was around when this song was released. It was a part of several aspects of my life for quite a few years. From dancing in the dark at parties to bawling out the chorus with my mates after a few scoops and a lot in between. It is as fresh today as then. Great to see modern technology being applied to this classic! I’m sure the Fab Four would approve.
You can play but you seriously cannot sing dude (Jude) 😆... Love your videos my brother!
Too clean, not enough nuances in the vocal.
Yepp, but that's so, because you know the original singing.
Dystopian.
WOW. Where it's at is still very impressive. Another few years and it'll be perfected.
Good video, Convincing No, however as backing or harmonies to a real voice very plausible. I'm sure it has its place.
Doctor Mix always has the right prescription to cheer up x
1:53 As a singer Dr. Mix your a great keyboardist 😁
Question with practice and a good vocal technic.
Brilliant as always. Sounds great to me, and ver good if you can't sing or have a singer. Even if you just used it during the song writing stage as a temp :)
If AI develops so quickly, in 1 year you won't be able to believe whether audio and video are real. And this might be a dangerous threath to reality.
Is Claudio unreal? (His "Next"is just a sampling of this TV date shit show, you know...)
You sure did a lot of work here too though
This is how every movie musical sounds to me. Wonka, Pitch Perfect for example
This is a sad indictment for where we’re at right now.
Save the mouse-clicking. Work on the live spontaneous vocal take - and only then will have authenticity, credibility - and well, musicality too.
It’s a no-brainer.
I like the vocal application. The other parts you can play with your chops better on keyboards and faster. Keep in mind you only sang in 4 bars of music! If you played this in you'd have at least 32 bars! :-) But the vocal Ai part is the most useful part of this!
You can hear that it is too clean, even if it has some refinements. Situationally speaking, I don't think it's really AI because it doesn't create anything completely independently, but the options available to polish up your own voice or use voices from the factory are cool. Developments show us how quickly everything is progressing and in a few years there will be someone sitting in the orchestra pit with a PC and listening to the big opera stars even though they are no longer there. And I personally don't like this development. The young generation, where everything always has to be faster and cooler, generates itself away...2001 odyssey in space...there it is HAL...but at the crowning end, really great work from Claudio and Lou...chapeau ( translated by google LOL)
The video is not exactly synced to the singing in some places. Apart from that I guess I wouldnt have noticed it as AI if I hadn't known it beforehand.
За THE Beatles респект!
2 skilled guys, thousands of pounds worth of gear, hours of time, the result (overheard by a musician friend) “well, that’s been autotuned.” Human: 7 minutes, emotional and meaningful. We are selling our souls into slavery.
It sounds like a human but one that lacks creativity and that extra that makes a real good singer different from the Muzak you’ll hear in the supermarket. AI needs to go through some lost loves, fear, agony and the cigarettes and liquor that follow to polish its performance a bit. When it’ll be able to give a live performance of Nirvana’s “Lithium” I’ll be convinced..
It sounds very emotionless and heavily autotuned. So like many modern artists before they are told to do it again, "only this time feel the emotion" and end up with WAY too much fake "feelings." That'll be the next step. Then eventually it might sound like a real NON-OTT human
I tried ACE and the midi to melody to words and phrasing is truly great tech. Unfortunately, I can tell from a mile that even the 'Westerner' Voxes all pronounce in typical Chinglish. That was a total deal breaker for me.
You can’t help but be amazed at the technology, but the final vocals are clearly AI and a bit nasal too… maybe the AI needs his adenoids trimming? 😂
Your channel is great. Have you done any collab with Synthmania? Otherwise I think you should. You two could do really great songs together.
Oh my ……… 😂 I think , do this just in Logic Pro … to much time to make adjustments with these AI voices. But anyway, I like these editing features
I think if the source wav files were sympathetically tuned in melodyne before conversion to the AI singer. it would have been more believable. Some of those pitch corrections applied afterwards are way to straight. No human is that perfect. Ace studio looks good , it has all the tools for sure but I think you would need to exercise much restraint when using it if a human result is what you looking for!
Nope! Not quite! Sounds like what I've done with Melodyne and Waves Tune plus a midi keyboard to knock a bad vocal into shape.
Sorry Claudio, the result is too synthetic. Maybe is the relation between strength and character of the voice, I don’t know. Or maybe the pitch too constant during the long notes … Should be these the point where AI comes in, no?
Nice try, love the enthusiasm. Would work fine to nudge a great vocal take from a good singer here and there. For you (and me)? Nope.
Where's the AI? Just two out of tune guys fixing it with old programs.... Oh, btw, it's not working.
Very impressive. However, so far, the vocal style is very smooth and the emotion, neutral. What would happen if you inserted anger or sorrow into the vocals? How about a shouty song?
Thanks for sharing but.... It looks more like a kind of evolution of Melodyne than a true AI voice...
Sorry sounds like a computer, not a fan, I think my old 16 bit Amiga could sound better LOL
All the pitch correction is the give away. It's sounds twice as bad on a modeled voice. Stop promoting AI replacements.
Interesting, but it does still sound processed to my ears, but I have been playing music for 58 years. I think my ears are trained enough to tell what is not fully natural.
A good reason to stick more and more to old music and avoid the new upcoming crap. But as always, the world will embrace it, if everybody listens to it. "Like the same" is the new "Think different".
AI will get boring when the novelty wears off. It still requires a skilled artist with an open and creative mind to get the most out of AI, and when production houses or labels get tired of paying for the effort it takes to make AI tools work well, it'll all become stale again. Meanwhile live bands draw record gates today, and the concert business continues to expand.
@@michelvanbriemen3459 True. Hopefully Hand-Made will celebrate a comeback anytime soon, in multiple areas.
@@michelvanbriemen3459what artist skill does it require to prompt a few words in suno or udio?
@@cottoo1 Watch Dr Mix correct the pitches and vibrato in this video to see where the artistry comes in. Suno and Udio are already bland barely three months into their availability, because the sounds those services produce can't easily be edited, which makes everything sound the same.
One day the AI would became much more smarter and perhaps it would be able to gave instant respons so it could be something like a processor that can be used live like on stage too..
It is like pogramming a song. Useless trash. AI will do only one thing: speedup downfall of human race
Oaoh, listening to the original neverending Laa, la la lalala laaa.... was so painful , so trying again with a machine, is this torture or something ?
If I'm not totally concentrated on it, for sure I'll be fooled. Though with some of the 'energy' is missing while singing and that is the only thing that I notice there, like 'heart' etc.
Hey dude 🎶
Where's my car 🎶
I could swear 🎶
I parked it there 🎶
Yes because you said it was AI in the title
It not quite there but it's close... a couple of "Cher" moments. As someone who use to sing, I can where it's going.
prefer Claudio's singing 🤩
This guy has the same big problem as i have. He makes awesome music but can't sing shit 😂😂😂
👍👑😎
Definitely some telltale artifacts. Particularly in the vibrato etc. But overall its pretty convincing
Two people working on something that a singer would do alone and faster... lol i thought ai was replacing us not making us work more
There's absolutely nothing "AI" about this.
My MP3 player sings Hey Jude. Can you tell the difference?
What's with playing the bass backwards, Paul?! 😆
The amount of videos that have been coming out recently have kept us busy 🙌🏻👏🏻
I have to admit that the AI issue is getting on my nerves. At some point, people like us will no longer be needed. And then?
Hahahahaha, love you, crazy hands man! You make me laugh so much. And, of course, I do also enjoy all the musical fun you two get up to xx
I'd say, umm, don't give up the day job... :p
Dio- I will suvive AI th-cam.com/video/RKXYCVhDFfk/w-d-xo.html
9:19 Not in a million years.
P leasè let us know which modern coosers are also the best orcastrators.
at the beginning, it sounds false, but rest is good
32 physical audio inputs, 32 midi pairs, it's been challenging but I couldn't have done it without the Arturia 16rig and two 8pre units. I have more compute power than most pro production studios on music row in Nashville. Best thing is I'm not in Nashville Tn. 😁 Somebody tell Claudio I love him.
Sounds like crap, to be honest.

🟥🔴Master Mix🔴🟥😊
So great that you got yourself an actual Hammond. Keep on using it! I think it adds so much color to the music you make.
Glad he seems happy singiing.
Beautiful voice.
Hey dude, don’t be so sad, just because of your deadbeat dad…🫢
'Flatten the curve' was nonsense, and now we can hear it as well.
First great job on both this and your videos, you guys keep it fun but with great results to boot. Does it sound real, yes in terms on how modern day vocals are processed, but it does sound processed neither less. For someone who has no vocalist yea for sure. I think AI will drive live vocalist in higher demand over the years as that will be the only way to know for sure, all be it voice overs. The live vocalist will always win over AI as its part of the human experience to expel human emotion in their vocals, both in terms of expression and subconscious connection.
I wrote my lyrics into Udio and it took 10 seconds to give me a muscle shoals sound for I've been drowning in my sleep. AI is a new chapter in Music.
I remember like 15 years ago, Yamaha came out with their AI singer Vocaloid Hatsune Miku thing. I was amazed then, but this isn't too far from that 15 years ago. It will be really sad when no one seems to care if its a real musician or a computer.
Мне очень нравится ваш канал♥браво👍🎶🎹♥
Just don't think it has the richness of a human.
Sei UN GRANDE! W gli Italiani e il loro talento! Un abbraccio! :-*
This was very god ❤🇩🇰
Bravo Claudio! Without the video nobody would tell it’s an AI voice… believe me. The Hammond part is goosebumps.. grande!!
Hi Doctor Mix! It's a very powerful tool. This software is amazing, it will enable extraordinary things for the future of music. Just a quick note to say that what you do is excellent. I love your studio sessions, and your passion for music is contagious. I wish you a long life on your channel, lots of rock 'n' roll, and even more keyboards! Keep it up! 🎸🎹🎼
As talented as you are, and as much as I appreciate you showing this tech to us…it should be stopped immediately.
It removes the adoration of truly talented people from the music world. I have no desire to listen to “Siri” sing me a song.
