As an Android user I will give apple its props some of these features are actual quite smart/useful and some Android has already have them but in its own implementation

The reason we don’t own android isn’t because these features don’t exist, it’s because we don’t like how they’re implemented. The iPhone is the #1 selling phone on earth for a reason, backed up with crazy R&D ☺️
@@communismisthefuture6503 yes. In a six inch device, what you should look for is consistency and reliability. These 100x zoom, 4k displays, split screens, are all gimmicks.
@neon_arch Hmmm no, he is just nice. Why should we give apple accolades for adding features that are 5+ years old and improving ones we already have.
Also the contact one was so silly, all you had to do before on ANY PHONE(including iphone) is make a contact of your own number and info and share that like you would any other contact.🙃😶
More rundowns like this would be fantastic. This feels very human, a good mixture of what's useful and what's fun, rather than just dismissing gimmicks, you express the value in those features.
Heck do retrospectives too if you want to fill some of the gaps.
The iOS operating system is getting more and more fantastic. More realistic, more animated, more fun to use. It's always been fun to use the iPhone but today it's becoming a great interactive experience. Thanks for the enlightening videos. Greetings from Portugal

One of the main small features I am really looking forward to in IOS 17 is the ability for multiple people to view the location of an AirTag at the same time so they aren't locked to one account like they are at the moment

Man iOS 17 is crazy. That sticker realistically showing reflections is sooo good. I mean, it is not definitely a necessary feature, but I really like to appreciate who came up with that idea. Just making stickers feel real.
Almost every new thing that came with iOS 17 feels polished and good. Sad my mother's phone can't go to iOS 17, and I'm an android user.

The coolest thing for me is the phone number transferring when the phones touch, with the synced contacts feature. iMessage UI is clean too 👌

I agree we need to see more updates with dynamic island. I wanna see what more the technology can do. That’s a main reason we bought 14 pro max.

Fully agree! Would love to see iMessage and notifications come through the dynamic island and you can click on the island to read or respond to a message. After all, live activities already interacts with the island through a sports app!?
Not only are these features original to iOS (most of them if not all); they are either extremely useful or just downright cool. Really starting to give me a reason to stick to at least having and iOS based device besides owning Beats Studio buds

When using voice typing. The video in the background still goes on which I don't know if that's supposed to be that way or a bug, but something that I've noticed that didn't happen before. :)

I really like this update with the voice it really make it easier for us to make messages simple to send
So essentially AirDrop has been upgraded completely. Now the old way of doing it is just an old way. You can connect face to face and send immediately and if you do it from far away, the distance doesn't matter.
no I'm pretty sure the "old" way is still there. this is just a more convenient alternative

The best function for me is the big world timer in standby mode, perfect for vacation or in flight to view two time zones at a glance. Especially on long flights to minimize jet lag by adjusting your eating and sleeping schedule

I remember how apple made fun of android during one of their events as how you have to tap two phones together to share stuff and here they are today doing the same exact thing 😂
It reminds me of the iPhone 5 when they were dissing android phones for having too large of a screen and said that 4 inches was a perfect screen size. Here they are with the iPhone 14 plus being a massive chonker.
Usually it’s android that does, then they act like nothing happened. but I agree that it is pretty funny.

There's a lot of stuff in this update that Android does and has done for ages. Obviously Apple polish is a different level as usual. That said there are some other nice touches here. I just can't get on with the base workflows of iOS, but I'm sure they'll be welcome changes for iPhone owners.

i began updating my iphone and ipad to ios 17 & ipados 17, and woke to them being up to date, and i love that now the ipad has saved wallpapers like my iphone has

I updated to IOS 17 Beta on day 1 of its Beta release! It is truly amazing, like your videos!
Having your audio transcribe with your message is a must-have because it give superb clarity to your message which the receiver can't misunderstand. Transforming your photos into instant emoji is incredibly innovative and fun and the photo should remain the same as when it was snap. Talking to Siri without saying "Hey Siri" is fantastic and super convenient. To be quite frank all the new iOS features here in this video is intriguing and creative.
They will also transcribe your voicemail live as the person is leaving the message - that blew my mind.

I recently updated to iOS 17 and I gotta say, I haven’t used Siri for a WHILE cause he’d come on just randomly/if I ever said seriously or really anything w an s, and now he never comes on until I say Siri. (Except once)
And I’ve really enjoyed using it again cause it’s super useful now

I have android phones since the first galaxy, and now I’ve switch to iPhone just because iOS17. The face time, stickers and all those little cute ways to show your emotions just sold me to it. I’m so in love with my new iPhone hahaha

I absolutely love this and I'm happy to see Apple is adding more and more to their phones. I'm a pixel 7 user and while I love the customization more with android, I'm loving what Apple is doing thus far.
The sticker ones remind me of how apple back then made the silver buttons shine differently from how you're holding the device. Nice to see them bring something like it back
I've been on the developer beta for about a month now and I'm very impressed. Still some quirks to iron out but the feedback assistant is a good place to gripe.
Is it worth it to try out the developer beta ? I want to try it but don’t know if there is any major bug
@@powerli9238not much new in ios17. All Siri improvements are only available when using English as phone language.
@@powerli9238 I think so! I haven't had any issues worth complaining about, the few that were around on Beta 1 and Beta 2 have been addressed, and it works great on my iThing 14 Plus. You can also always go back to 16.whatever for whatever reason if you want to, so don't feel locked in if you do give it a try.

My personal favorite after a month of using iOS 17 is live voicemail. It’s really cool to almost have your own personal answering machine. Surprised he didn’t mention it.

Iv also been on the beta for the past month and it's amazing. One of my favourite features is the updates in the health app. Iv been struggling mentally lately and they give amazing tools to keep track of how you are feeling. I also like the idea of sharing contacts with a simple tap.

@@Mizdl The public beta launched yesterday. Just go into updates and select the beta. It will then update.
@@Mizdl be careful it completely screwed up my iPhone 11. No wallpapers will show, lock screen still shows Home Screen icons, glitches constantly, animations are slow, standby doesn't work. I have to go back to iOS 16.

The Dynamic Island needs a landscape mode update (unless that’s already happened, I don’t have a 14 Pro yet). The fact that the newest and biggest feature of the 14 Pro isn’t usable at all when the phone is horizontal is an insane oversight

I would really love to be able to use standby mode without the need to charge the phone at the same time.
That was one of the reasons why I wanted to upgrade to iOS 17.

The Contact’s widget is great at pulling information about that contact into view. It shows recent emails, birthdays, if applicable and appointments, also address, phone number, Files, Photos. I noticed it doesn’t show Notes and there’s no way to assign those items to a particular contact. It would be great if notes, and any other item can be dragged and drop onto contact and have it soft link to the contact in the contacts so it’s visible without having to type the contacts name as a file name or identify a face to the contact because some photos do not have faces, and it will still be great if pic can associated with that particular contact, for instance, a doctor receipts, scan from Notes or Photos. Just drag drop it onto that doctors contact, and when viewing the doctors or a business contact it shows recent or relevant files in the. Also, it would be great if the note fields in calendar, reminders and contacts soft links to an actual note in the Notes app that will update and sync both ways.
Been using this beta version these days and I must say the amount of time I have saved by saying just Siri instead of hey sir I have utilised it to build my new startup which is a unicorn now with a few days. All thanks to apple for this wonderful change❤️

When I got the first beta on my past phone (13 Pro Max) and it worked perfectly fine. Then on the 3rd beta based on user reports of that being more stable and 1+2 being really fine on that older phone, I installed beta 3 on my 14 Pro Max.
Unlike others reports of battery drain being excellent and not having issue (better than beta 1 and 2), it was worse than ever but not like.. unusable. Followed with when rebooting the phone, everything went downhill. All wallpapers were wiped, things got weird and battery drained faster… so I ended up DFU-complete re-installing 16.5.1 and restoring a backup I had.
It’s a shame but proves that no matter how “stable” everyone says something is, your device could be the odd one out.
