This franchise has matured me so much and taken me to so many places I never thought I'd be able to be in. I love it and its become a part of me, whenever I think of "Metal Gear" the feeling of love fills me up, because that is what I *feel* for this franchise :] I hope all of the people involved in making Metal Gear titles stay blessed and live a happy life

The hype for this game was so real for me, it certainly changed mine too when I started playing them so I can be up to date with all of them and ready to play MGSV. I loved the trailers so much, because my favorite part about them was the music! Especially this one. Because speaking of maturity, at the time when this game came out in 2015, I had been feeling so nostalgic about the 10 years before. How far I had come from a 12/13 year old boy to a 23 year old. 30 years old now and I still feel like I'm waiting for this game to come out =)

I legit feel like this series has shaped the way I consume media and view characters and storylines. Metal Gear will always be one of my favorite series and I'll always treasure the great memories I've had with each entry into the saga.
Every night, I can feel the history... and my arm... even my fingers. The game I've lost... the missions I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past.

That little snippet of "OMG Paz is alive?!" tease was so profound during the leadup to this release. The suspense created through these trailers over a 2-3 year period was immense.
Unless Konami and Kojima kiss and make up and make a sequel MGS 6, the story of what could have been or should have been or whatever of MGSV will remain broken and the phantom pain will last with us till the last day of our lives.
Really can't see Konami doing another decent MGS after this, not without Kojima. It's not as if Konami were even involved in its creation outside of supplying funds, the real talent was always Kojima and his team.
But they're still the same people with or without him and definitely deserve credit where it's due. I would, however, like to know how much of the creative process he was a part of. Believe me, I know he's an integral part of the team; I'm just saying that too many people are losing faith in the whole company over a single person.

Richard Mcilwain We lose faith because for the most part, when the Central figure leaves the premises, the future sequels are almost NEVER on par with the original games. He's the main piece keeping everyone in check, making sure it utrns out the way its supposed to be. Its like a a general leading his army and if the General leaves then the rest of the soldiers are in a mess without a leader to guide them. Sure they can get someone else but it WON'T be the same and most likely won't have the same impact and may not have a desire to keep making changes, may want to follow trends and do more familiar things.
@@itsikolia No, it wasn't. Konami cut Kojima short. He wanted it to originally be a 5 part game, instead of 2. The missions that you have to beat on Extreme or Total Stealth were just filler to take up time that was supposed to be used for more story. It's pretty blatantly not finished lol. Still a fantastic game, but could've been so much better if Konami didn't step in.
The BEST MGSV trailer reveal!! I keep on coming back, to relive the day the whole world & I witnessed such "horrific beauty" being revealed before our very eyes. "Elegia" is also such a masterpiece of a song. No words, just the haunting melody makes it a true work of art!!
Now that I've finished the game I can finally watch this trailer. It's actually a pretty good summary of the entire game... and not that much shorter than than the amount of meaningful cutscenes... but more cinematic.
This game was definitely a eye opener for me towards the world, language and comprehension is needed to help us get together and unify. Whoever said that they can't learn from video games don't know what they're talking about
I think this game story is heavily unappreciated I liked the characters and story although I thought skull face wasn’t a serious character overall this game is darker than the other metal gear games.
The more and more I look at this games story and its trailers, it feels like it isnt as unfinished as we thought. Almost as though it was made to be played thru twice. On the second playthrough i caught so many lines of dialogue and little story moments i didnt catch the first time.
I think this video will reach millions of views.The song is so immersive.Kojima is a genius.This trailer made me feel very strong emotions never felt before seeing other trailer of other games.

Yeah, especially when the point of the story is that even if Big Boss wasn’t Big Boss, YOU were. You played as him for so long, you have become a part of him. It’s such a great ending.

One of the greatest games ever made. I’ll never forget the hype surrounding this game and all of the fan theories surrounding the role of Skull Face, Venom etc.
And then fans were left disappointed. People say that mgsv will get the mgs2 treatment we’re fans acknowledge the game is good but that’s not the case I guess ,I personally like the story of this game I think skull face character and appearance was kind of less intimidating but other than that I enjoyed TPP.
This game came out when i was 16. I am now 25. It is difficult to describe what this game gave me. Most importantly, it made me question. Metal Gear is a franchise about war and nuclear technology, and how this will be our end. MGSV goes to a place where it inserts you, the player, into this evil reality. It is not Big Boss doing these things, it is you. You did this.
In my understanding, this trailer is the inauguration of trailers as an art form in itself. Kojima simply dropped the intention to edit a trailer as a marketing tool to create an art piece that stands on its own

As far as I'm concerned, this is the final Metal Gear game. Konami has said that they intend to make more sequels, but they'll be Metal Gears "in name only". Its like someone trying to make a sequel to Lord of the Rings now that Tolkien is dead, or someone buying the rights of Harry Potter off Rowling to make a sequel of Harry Potter. There is no Lord of the Rings without Tolkien. There is no Harry Potter without Rowling. There is no Metal Gear without Kojima.

Check out the theories that you play as venom since ground zero. GZ is just a re creation of what happen as part of his brainwashing. When you think of it as that it really changes things.
@@TheFlatEarthChannelcom You dont play as Venom in GZ. During the infiltration of the GZ Base, Skullface was already attacking Mother Base, where both the Medic and the real Boss fell into a coma. The real Boss has woken up several months after this, while the fake boss was still in a coma for 9 years. During that time, they altered his brain with nanomachines and therapy to make him think he was the real boss, while the real Big Boss was building Outer Haven. Its a weak twist for sure, but i just wanted to clear things.

It was skullface parasite attack that was being developed and skullface wanted to over throw Zero and Big Boss together. But it was actually Venom who foiled his plan but at the same time there were many deaths as well and that's why Venom felt the guilt in the end and thus it was The Phantom Pain.

Though I admit Venom Snake was in hypnotherapy by the doctors to feel like he was in induced coma as well and was already in deception to protect Big Boss identity. Everyone thought it was Big Boss in his hospital bed while the real Big Boss was masked with bandages the whole time and Venom took his place...the mental copy which Zero has adviced in the truth tapes
Yeah, its one of the best trailers for a game i have watched. If you would have told me that the game would just be a boring empty open world stealth game with bad Ai and a weak story hidden behind cassette types, i would have thought you are crazy. I really thought this one would blow away even story/cutscenes from MGS4. And i was wrong.

You know the more I look at this.The ending of this trailer at 5:21. The reason David Hayter didn't voice Big Boss is cause the two clones are Solid Liquid and Solid Snake. I fucking bet you cause this game puts all the other metal gears together as one. Cause we see Mantis as a young red headed boy. We see solid liquid as a young kid. You can't have David Hayter Voice Big Boss and Snake in the same game. But that's just me.
Except in the Japanese version they're doing exactly that. Big Boss still has the same Japanese voice actor who has always been Solid Snake's and Big Boss' voice actor in Japan. Also, if this game puts all Metal Gears together, there better be some fucking people from MG and MG2 for fucks sake. MG2 is one of the best 8bit games of all time, there needs to be characters from those games. Y'know, Machinegun Kid, Dr. Madnar, TX-55 Metal Gear, what happens to ZEKE and how does Madnar gain the information on how to do a Metal Gear, Jungle Evil, Night Fright, etc. Most of these characters should be in this game to finally get all pieces together for the Metal Gear franchise, this game will be like the circle starting all over again.

I honestly believe that the MGS series is THE best series out there. And this game will be one of the best games ever. I already pre-ordered it. The download, at least. Honestly, I would put this over Black Ops 3. Hate me all you guys want, but I've been waiting for this game to come out for, I don't know, 3 or 4 years. And it is coming out sooner than Black ops 3.

Luke-Antra Microtransactions are only there for the impatient people who don't like to wait. It doesn't affect the gameplay as much as people think, it only unlocks certain upgrades for your weapons faster. I am guessing that the Weapon development is going to be close like Peace walker was. Now if you talk about multiplayer then we don't really know, yet.

I’m going back through all the trailers again... the hype was unreal. Utterly disappointed by the game though... it was so barren and boring I couldn’t get through it.

One of the greatest games ever made. I’ll never forget the hype surrounding this game and all of the fan theories surrounding the role of Skull Face, Venom etc.
And then fans were left disappointed. People say that mgsv will get the mgs2 treatment we’re fans acknowledge the game is good but that’s not the case I guess ,I personally like the story of this game I think skull face character and appearance was kind of less intimidating but other than that I enjoyed TPP.

This game came out when i was 16. I am now 25. It is difficult to describe what this game gave me. Most importantly, it made me question. Metal Gear is a franchise about war and nuclear technology, and how this will be our end. MGSV goes to a place where it inserts you, the player, into this evil reality. It is not Big Boss doing these things, it is you. You did this.

In my understanding, this trailer is the inauguration of trailers as an art form in itself. Kojima simply dropped the intention to edit a trailer as a marketing tool to create an art piece that stands on its own

As far as I'm concerned, this is the final Metal Gear game. Konami has said that they intend to make more sequels, but they'll be Metal Gears "in name only".
Its like someone trying to make a sequel to Lord of the Rings now that Tolkien is dead, or someone buying the rights of Harry Potter off Rowling to make a sequel of Harry Potter. There is no Lord of the Rings without Tolkien. There is no Harry Potter without Rowling. There is no Metal Gear without Kojima.

Check out the theories that you play as venom since ground zero. GZ is just a re creation of what happen as part of his brainwashing. When you think of it as that it really changes things.
@@TheFlatEarthChannelcom You dont play as Venom in GZ. During the infiltration of the GZ Base, Skullface was already attacking Mother Base, where both the Medic and the real Boss fell into a coma. The real Boss has woken up several months after this, while the fake boss was still in a coma for 9 years. During that time, they altered his brain with nanomachines and therapy to make him think he was the real boss, while the real Big Boss was building Outer Haven. Its a weak twist for sure, but i just wanted to clear things.

It was skullface parasite attack that was being developed and skullface wanted to over throw Zero and Big Boss together. But it was actually Venom who foiled his plan but at the same time there were many deaths as well and that's why Venom felt the guilt in the end and thus it was The Phantom Pain.
@@CODA96 also Big Boss in coma for 9 years not Venom Snake. Though I admit Venom Snake was in hypnotherapy by the doctors to feel like he was in induced coma as well and was already in deception to protect Big Boss identity. Everyone thought it was Big Boss in his hospital bed while the real Big Boss was masked with bandages the whole time and Venom took his place...the mental copy which Zero has adviced in the truth tapes

If you would have told me that the game would just be a boring empty open world stealth game with bad Ai and a weak story hidden behind cassette types, i would have thought you are crazy. I really thought this one would blow away even story/cutscenes from MGS4. And i was wrong.

But seeing it as a Metal Gear, it has an incredibly shallow and cookie cutter story, a boring world and not much else to do but 'shoot and extract soldier', sneak through 3 tents with 4 soldiers standing around.

If you compare it to an MGS2 where Solidus jumps around in his high tech mech suit, shooting metal gear rays while also having hour long cutscenes about a nuclear war and the patriots, then MGS:V looks pretty pathetic where the main villain dies by a falling pole and the camera is constantly zoomed on quiets melons with jiggle physics and her butt.

You know the more I look at this.The ending of this trailer at 5:21. The reason David Hayter didn't voice Big Boss is cause the two clones are Solid Liquid and Solid Snake. I fucking bet you cause this game puts all the other metal gears together as one. Cause we see Mantis as a young red headed boy. We see solid liquid as a young kid.
You can't have David Hayter Voice Big Boss and Snake in the same game.
But that's just me.
David hayter will always be SOLID snake, big boss needed his own voice plus hayter's big boss voice in peace walker sucked!!
Except in the Japanese version they're doing exactly that. Big Boss still has the same Japanese voice actor who has always been Solid Snake's and Big Boss' voice actor in Japan.
Also, if this game puts all Metal Gears together, there better be some fucking people from MG and MG2 for fucks sake. MG2 is one of the best 8bit games of all time, there needs to be characters from those games. Y'know, Machinegun Kid, Dr. Madnar, TX-55 Metal Gear, what happens to ZEKE and how does Madnar gain the information on how to do a Metal Gear, Jungle Evil, Night Fright, etc. Most of these characters should be in this game to finally get all pieces together for the Metal Gear franchise, this game will be like the circle starting all over again.

I honestly believe that the MGS series is THE best series out there. And this game will be one of the best games ever. I already pre-ordered it. The download, at least. Honestly, I would put this over Black Ops 3. Hate me all you guys want, but I've been waiting for this game to come out for, I don't know, 3 or 4 years. And it is coming out sooner than Black ops 3.

Luke-Antra Microtransactions are only there for the impatient people who don't like to wait. It doesn't affect the gameplay as much as people think, it only unlocks certain upgrades for your weapons faster.
I am guessing that the Weapon development is going to be close like Peace walker was.
Now if you talk about multiplayer then we don't really know, yet.
