I've seen a number of videos about "why someone's home sewn clothing looks home sewn." Meaning less than or somewhat unattractive when compared to RTW. Well, I think that when you make these videos you show how "home sewn" clothing can look better than RTW. First, by your technique instructions but mainly by showcasing how to think and decide on how you want a garment to work for you. When you make these styling videos, it really spotlights the decisions you've made to make what you want and the importance of fitting. Also, I think it encourages people to continue learning new techniques and/or improving their skill set. Hope you feel better soon!
Clotilde, who sews and had a catalog calls it the “loving hands at home” look. You don’t want that.

When you (specifically, YOU) wear prints on the bottom and solids on the top, it seems like it helps to draw attention to your face and your encouraging and positive demeanor that flows from the top.
Your channel content has probably given so much hope and encouragement without you even knowing it. I’m subscribed to a few sewing channels, but yours is the one I actively look for and use the affiliate links, etc.

Karina I love the pants. I have not worn printed pants for some time now but you have inspired me to try them out again. I’m sorry you’re not feeling your best. Try and get rest so you can feel better soon to do what you love to do. It’s always great to see your makes.
I never tuck in my shirts, either. I am glad I am not alone. I am short and short waisted, plus I a m not slim. Not tucking in a shirt is more flattering for me.
I wish I were as slim as I was in high school. Of course, we had girls’ Phys Ed every day in those days!

I loved you print pants when you first made them. They look and fit so well, and that tulip feature... to live for!! The green pants with the slightly wider leg in the back! Yes just yes! Fabulous pants, love the tulip cuffs, as a person who just started my garment making journey, you give such great ideas for me who is size 34, but use to be a size 52, so my journey is teaching me what my body is doing and where everything is traveling LoL

This is one of the Love Notions patterns I do not own. I am short, only 5’2” and petite and 58 years old. Do you think these would look ridiculous on me? Would all of that fabric swallow me up? I think these could be a very comfortable pair of pants to wear for work that could look dressy but feel casual. I am a high school teacher looking to up her wardrobe game while maintaining a professional look.
I think the key is to try monochromatic top and bottom and keep the fabric light and flowy so it falls closer to the body :)

Also I have a question, are these pretty much the same as the vacation vibes pants from pattern emporium?
They are quite different. The vacation vibes are elasticated all the way around, have a much wider leg and more ease.
