Not really. When the doorbell rang, wouldn't it have been "normal" for Rose to have stayed to have seen who it is? When Rose said she wasn't Dorothy, when the guy looked at Dorothy, he should have looked her "up and down". And I don't think Blanche would have ever come into the house if there were that many guys out in/on a bus. She would have been flirting with every one of them.

smallestbattery ok the personals column used to be where people used to finds dates. Rose put an ad in the part of the papers that people used to use to um "get lucky" indicating prostitution. Couple that with the fact that Todo was Dorothy's dog from "The Wizard of Oz".
Kelley Hawley *Toto! yeah I watched GG when I was a little girl. As an adult, it is even funnier when you catch the references. I know this scene is from a "flashback" episode when they were discussing memories with the psychiatrist, but does anyone know the actual episode this scene was from, originally?
It's not really a flashback episode per say; the flashbacks in question were filmed specifically for this episode, similar to the episodes with Mother's Day flashbacks, cake flashbacks,Valentine's Day flashbacks, etc.
GGs use of a flashback that didn't come from an actual episode is pretty unique plot device,I don't think too many shows did this,it's pretty inventive,I would often in the past wonder if the flashbacks were from actual episodes, then figured out they weren't,like the dance contest was an example of that device
