This is why an interviewer (one that pushes back) is so important. Context is key and since Mykelti was raised in this cult she has trouble understanding that the public's concern is, in fact, concern. She thinks she knows best (even better than ALL her many parents) and now that she has an audience she's not going to give that up anytime soon.

There is an episode where Robyn’s kids were packing to go visit their dad. Dayton was so excited and he said “ I’m so excited to see him because we haven’t seen him in a long time”.
That is his dad’s fault. A good father would still be there for his kids. I would never walk away from my kids no matter how hard things are. He chose to not fight for them

I honestly think Robyn was jealous of the original picture with Christine, Kody and their kids. She is such a bitter jealous woman. The fact that she took Christine’s original picture and cut out her kids and replaced it with her own kids. Creepy and weird. I felt so bad for Preston, they’re his kids, no matter what he’s the bio father. I understand Kody adopted them but Kody needs to take new pictures with them not erase their past. I totally think Robyn and Kody wanted to erase Preston. The kids didn’t want to be adopted , they were in shock when they found out. Then Kody had the nerve to get mad when none of the kids were jumping for joy. That shows you how selfish they are.

They said that Kody & Robyn used Dayton’s accident and the child support as blackmail because they wanted Preston to pay for the surgery. They knew Preston had no money, I guess the browns having more money and fame from the show Preston agreed to give up his rights, but he didn’t want to.

@@monicaoberholzer exactly Preston needs to find a good attorney and sue TLC for facilitating parental alienation, then sue Robyn and Kody for using finacial extortion to coerce him into signing away his parental rights, its my understanding that part of the agreement was he still got contact and visitation with the kids after the adoption, which after 1 visit became too much of an inconvience to Robyn because of travel cost and interference with their filming schedule.
NO....Mikelti, I am an adopted person. We don't HAVE ANY CHOICES as small children. The adults take OUR CHOICES away.
And, MANY of us, would rather NOT be adopted by someone else.... Some do, but many don't. I remember the show back then, and the kids HAD a relationship WITH their father, and it was a good relationship. And it was Robyn and Cody who talked BAD about the father.....NOT the other Dad. This was all Cody and Robyn's doing, and you are taking THEIR side.
I was appauled back then, and even MORE appauled NOW.....that you have this wrong.
Adopted kids don't need to be brainwashed to think the way the parents WANT them to think. But, they DO.
Robyn and Cody have had their own agenda in this entire scenario, and even though we dont personally KNOW you guys, we have EYES and can see things you guys can miss. And, many of us are going through very similar circumstances, and KNOW the ins and outs of these issues as well.
But, adoption is difficult. And ANY PARENT who manipulates the children to get them "on their side", so that they feel BETTER about things, may NOT BE WHAT the children want, or feel.
And children will keep their feelings HIDDEN.....FOR FEAR of the parents getting ANGRY at them for wanting something different. Kids WANT THEIR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS MOST OF ALL. Believe me.....WE DO. Even if we know the situation is hard, we STILL fantasize about the "real parents" getting back together. (Even if we know its an impossibility) its still THERE. Its just what children desire. (Unless its a severely abusive thing)

That picture thing was REPREHENSIBLE. I was even LIVID when I saw that. Robyn is trying to erase their FATHER out of their lives. Robyn cannot make this into something else than it is. What gets me is that Robyn erased the father of her older children as well as Christine and her children. Even if Mykelti thought it was fine to erase a man she didn't know and was taught to think ill of, how can she be OK with her mother and siblings being erased?

I am a victim of Parental Alienation. I am a mother, who raised my daughters for ten years, on my own for 9+ months per year. Lies were made up about me and only my oldest was old enough to know the truth (the other two were too young to remember life before divorce). She still lives with me, ten years later.
Parental Alienation is painful and heartbreaking and I hope and pray that my other two daughters will see that I’m not who their step mother has made me out to be.
I'm sorry you're going through this. It can be so confusing as a child. Especially if the previously absent parent and new family are constantly manipulating you and love bombing you. It's hard if you're not old enough to see through it. Hopefully your older child can act as a gobetween and help them with the truth when they're older.
They will see the truth. As my daughter said , as an adult she sees us as people , what we are really like. She adores her step dad , and has a great relationship with him.

I've been saying this is for months. Robyn could have just as easily took her own photo of her kids and played games with it. She didn't, she took a photo that wasn't hers to take.
Mykelti is definitely Robyn's little minion. Saying that Peston was never in their lives. She wasn't there and Robyn is a liar. And Mykelti will and does pad those lies for Robyn.

I missed Robyn doing this absolutely horrible manipulation. When I married my husband he had a two year old son. His bio was living 8 hrs away and wasn’t interested in being a parent. She actually ended up going to jail for over 18 years. At NO time did I try and erase her from my son’s mind. He calls me mom, and I love him with everything I am, but he knows he has a bio out there and that if he ever wanted to pursue a relationship I would totally facilitate a meeting. You’re the adult and you do what is best for the child. Robyn is a selfish piece of crap and I feel terribly for Preston.

I think once he was going to adopt her children he totally lost focus with his bio kids. I felt so bad for the bio kids. They lost their father.

You showed a clip recently of Kody telling the kids that he had adopted them. The kids looked stunned. He and Robyn were excited, but the kids did not show that. Kody then said something like, "They just don't realize what this means." When I saw that I thought, "How sad! The only people excited about this are Robyn and Kody. The kids did not want this." And, I think that blended fake photo is just creepy. Those kids are going to be so messed up by the things that Robyn has done to erase their real father while trying to slip a fake father into their lives.
If Mykelti has been that easily brainwashed by Robyn can you imagine what her own kids feel like?

And honestly if Dayton reconnected with his father, I'm happy for him. On camera Kody never seemed very fatherly toward Dayton like he was towards Robyn's girls.

Mykelti is a liar and wouldn’t believe a word she says. I certainly don’t watch her stuff. Her eduction level is poor. Her verbal grammar, sentence structure, oral story telling is abhorrent. Did she graduate even grade 8? My son has a learning disability and neurological issues, yet is a well spoken orator.

My mother-in-law did a bit of this. She had 3 husbands and 4 children throughout, with each child she legally changed their names to the next husband’s surname. My husband (her eldest) retains her 2nd husband’s last name (an abusive asshole). We gave our children his real father’s last name but have yet to have his name change reversed (because of hassle/red tape). The alienation from his real dad brings him great sadness.

It sounds MORE like Robyn was trying to replace Christine's kids with her own. She was hell bent on driving a wedge between Kooter and Christine. Remember the episode where Robyn made Kooter eggs and he said it was bad because he hates pepper? He told Robyn that she would learn how to cook from Christine. Robyn looked like she ate a dog poo sandwich and RIGHT THEN.....I could see the wheels turning in her oddly shaped noggin. She would destroy Christine's marriage and her family's relationship with Ramen noodle head.

Christine was such a pillar of support in the family, always putting on events, always caring for the children and cooking meals. She kept the family together, and Robin knew it and wanted that spot for herself. But couldn’t do anything that Christine could and subsequently destroyed the family
@BridgetBailey47 early in the first season. Kody tells Robyn he'll have Christine show her how he likes his eggs. He also told her she was "too pretty to cook," but she eventually got it together and took the Thanksgiving turkey tradition from Meri too.

Kody likes to 'warehouse' people in barndominiums, or buildings on the property, and Robyn erases people. It's so horrible and hateful. I have compassion for Mykelti because she's young, and she was raised in a cult. But no, disappearing inconvenient people isn't "special". I believe Robyn totally lied about her three older children’s father. I feel so sorry for her children and her ex-husband. Kody and Robyn raked that man over the coals. She had already put him in a horrible financial position and then basically took his children away from him since he wasn’t financially able to fight them. I hope one day karma comes back to bite them both for what they did to her children and her ex-husband. They should be ashamed of themselves but they’re such narcissists that they don’t care about anyone but themselves.
Maybe she should ask Tony how he would feel if the two of them divorced and she did to him what Roybn did to their children's father. Again this girl makes no sense when trying to defend something so very wrong and hurtfull to the biological father.

This whole photo manipulation is just sad. I remember years ago watching a Judge Judy episode where one parent took the photos of the other parent and cut that parent out of the photos. Judge Judy became irate when she heard this and read that parent the riot act. She told them: "How dare you do that to your children. Those photos (including wedding photos of both parties) aren't yours. They belong to your children. Not to you." She then told the one parent how selfish they were for cutting up the photos and how childish that was. Then, I have a friend whose mother did the same thing to her family photos with her ex-husband. My friend told me that because his mother did that (cutting the father out of the family photos) he had no photographs of his father and no real memories of him either. Robyn's choice to mess with photos in order to create memories of something that never happened to her older children is just despicable. They have a right to their memories of their real father Preston. She is way in the wrong for doing this.
I remain convinced Robyn taking that photo of Christine's kids and phasing Christine and the kids out and replacing them with hers was a definite shot at Christine. I'm convinced Christine's link to Robyn's 1st husband was and is a direct threat to Robyn and Cody. They sure blame her for every damn thing that they did. The dirt Christine could get from her family would be interesting.

When I first saw Sister Wives I was very intrigued about the relationship but as time has passed it’s really difficult to defend any of the relationships.. the poor kids seem so disconnected and unhappy and everything seems so fake with Kody, Robin, Gwendolyn and Mykekti and Tony!! Dayton turned 24 this January …So , he was 18 six years ago. Dayton can’t live on his own but went on a road trip, by himself, right after his HS graduation & b4 his freshman year of college ?. Nahh.
I think he went to see his dad three years ago when he was 21yo in 2021 after COVID when the family was physically falling apart. Christine was leaving. It was obvious that Meri & Janelle were next. COVID made all of us reevaluate our relationships with family. I’ll bet Robyn & Kody tried to guilt trip him like crazy. Reminding him of how “awful” their real dad was & what a savior Kody is.

i never talked bad about my daughters dad in front of her. if he failed to pick her up if he was sched to. i lied to her and told her dad was busy and he would see her soon. when she turned 18 she figured it out herself. i then told the truth when she asked. my feelings didnt matter when she was young. if he were abusive or such things would have been different
I always knew when my dad didn't show up he was drunk. After awhile I didn't want to go to his home because he would lock me outside and not let me in to use the bathroom He believes my mom alienated me and never took any responsibility.
Watching the reveal of the picture was so cringe worthy. I feel erasing Christine and her kids was incredibly disrespectful. If I recall the scene correctly Grody looked caught of guard when he first opens the gift.
