Thanks for watching crew, if you have any ideas for what you would like us to make a video about or try make the Warpig do, then drop a comment below. All suggestions considered ;)
where is this? south east /west Queensland
@@scottrat3537 south west WA
Motorcycle techniques, tips and tricks on enduro riding with the mighty DR650 ( log crossing, clutch technique, balance/weight distribution, braking into sharp corners, sand riding ). Dude there’s heaps of content you could make to help noobs like me out. 😏
@@BadgerMcblasty cheers for the ideas, I got a couple of them on the to do list will add the rest :)
That was amazing to watch, you are obviously very talented, I've never seen anybody ride a DR650 like that!
Thanks very much Trevor
@@SKIDSnSTUFF Dude! You are an animal! I am in awe of your skills,…I have the same bike but absolutely none of your skills,..immense respect to you from Idaho.👍🏽
@@gregflores8959 thanks Greg, I was pleasantly surprised how capable this bike is when I first got it
You need to get out more.
When ever I turn around at an obstacle or take the chicken track I come home and watch your videos and cry a little bit to myself.
Awesome work. Really appreciate the amount of work you go to for those shots.👍
Haha nice, I hope to inspire others to work up to getting off the 🐔 tracks. Glad you noticed, Thanks!
This just shows no matter what bike you ride it's always the rider 80% 20% 💪💪💪
The Warpig is 100% value though
This video was AWESOME. This video needs to blow up. You look so stable and calm in all of it.
Thanks alot for the vote of confidence! :) 🤟
Liss, it's not going to be too much longer before ur giving all the boys a run for their money, u already doing more than most.
Dude, you are an extremely talented rider. I've been riding for over 50 years. You are indeed gonna make me take my game up a notch LOL - Thanks !!!!
Glad to be of service 😁 thanks for watching
Hey Skids, awsome video man. I never tire of watching you ride the Warpig. Some great tracks there, I wouldn't take my DR650 through there, though I have been having great fun on dual tracks out the back of Dwelly and Harvey trying to build up my skills. However being over 60 and having a few past injuries I'm not sure how much longer I can keep going out bush, especially on my own, but I am going to push it as much as I can. Looking at a URAL 2WD Outfit for my next bike.
Thanks Badoldbiker, I have to admit the Warpig is most at home on a good loamy dual track, gotta stay on my toes in the single featured in this vid
Amazing riding on the Mighty DR650! Now I definitely know it is me that is limiting my access to challenging riding areas. Very inspiring!
Cheers!
Great!
Cool to see the different camera angles. The stabilisation in newer cameras makes it look easy when it's not.
Glad to hear it is worth the effort 👌 I really enjoy playing with my 3rdPerson 📷
WoW! That’s some really skilled riding. I’m not even Close…😂
Cheers Tom! Check out some of my how to vids and you'll be there in no time
That log ride at 2:40 is absolutely unreal
Cheers mate got another bunch lined up for a future vid
I sometimes think to myself that i should not be doing this on the 'old girl' and then i watch skids and stuff and realize i'm not riding hard enough ha ha......great balance riding along that log!!!!
Cheers dvz she can take a fair beating ay, I'm always surprised by how capable the Warpig turned out to be.
Great video, love the skills. Don't need the fancy $12000 bike with the latest and greatest tech to enjoy dual sport. The DR is a bullit proof bull!
Fun factor per dollar spent, the DR can't be beat!
I love your videos man! Thanks a lot for show us the great capabilities of the DR-650!!!
Cheers for watching and dropping a line
Liked in 15 seconds. You ride it like a trials bike!
Cheers for that!
That’s entertainment! Killing it. Thanks brother
Cheers for dropping a line dunes, glad you enjoyed
Yessss! Nasty!
the skinny and the tractor at the end, hell yeahhhh.
Cheers Max!
Damn man. That’s some excellent riding.
Thanks Ryan 😊
Great skills on that bush pig and nice job putting that video together brother 👍
Thanks Rick cheers for dropping a line
Nice riding by a expert level rider. Good video! Being 6' tall helps! Sounds like a pulp wood truck with that loud exhaust.
Cheers Smithy!
I'm 5'10 ish
Love this video, good old tennis racquet theory, give any legend any racquet n they’ll take ya for a ride 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Haha I like it. Cheers Wesley, thanks for dropping by
Killing it on an old school dual sport 😎. Suspension looks like it's handling superbly well!!👏 Inspires me to attempt some more hectic stuff on my old DR-Z400E :)
Springs and a bit of valving worked wonders. Get that DRZ into it!Thanks for checking in
Kurde nice !!!!
Thanks for watching
Lovely Bike...i have one here in germany...Sold my 1200gs for it because it reminded me so much of my YAMAHA DT 125 when i was 16...
So much more easy access
They are the maddest bike for sure
Well done! Superb riding skills 👍
Thankyou
you are on another level
cheers for stopping by Jason
Great video, thanks for showing the skills I need to develop (log hopping…and everything else, lol).
Nice to know the bike can do it, me not so much.
What tire pressures?
24 psi in this vid, I have since come down to 21 psi for mainly trail riding
wish i could have ridden like you when i attempted to cross the simpson desert june just gone
Gotta keep it challenging Paul! What happened if ya don't mind me asking? Would like to zip across myself someday
Great vid!! Really enjoyed watching it! Random question - is your DR's suspension stock? Any mods to it ?
The Warpig has uprated springs as well as the valving (mostly) sorted. Will detail in upcoming bike check vid. Thanks for watching!
@@SKIDSnSTUFF Thanks Mate! Looking forward to see what you have done to the DR suspension. It looks like it is tuned in perfectly.
Cheers!
I have a DR but I can’t do that😢Not even close😢 Pretty rad.
Which oil are ya running?
Thanks, excellent !!! Will let ya know when i can ride 1/2 as well.
Awesome riding! Do you have a bike build video or list of parts/mods done?
Heya Aron, I don't have a bike check vid yet but will be putting one together soooon. She's pretty basic though
fantastic riding, you know these tracks like the back of your hand, right? 🤣
Actually yeh I marked and cut those tracks when I had an enduro bike
@@SKIDSnSTUFFI like your style...thinking you decided DR650 was the way to go because of its simplicity, capabilities and electric start
@@bradrussell624 yep! Also reliability and high value (relatively cheap) was high on the list
@@SKIDSnSTUFF yep 100% totally agree with you....whats your take on Honda xr650x (no electric start) cheers mate
Nice!
Thanks Lou :)
Yes you can use a shifter to remove a nut from a oil filter cover but there are better tools for the job, ie enduro bikes. Good job of riding that Jurassic heavy beast there though!
Cept I only have one vehicle so it's gonna hafta do! Cheers!
@@SKIDSnSTUFF Love your videos! Keep them coming!!
Dr650 for sale excellent condition, babied all it's life.
Coming to Facebook marketplace soon
You ride that thing like a mountain bike! 😂👍🏁 Always an enjoyable watch! How often do you bleed the air from your forks?
Cheers Roz, I bleed pretty much only when I need to dick with the forks for setup or maintenance... so, often!
Nice riding you got the logs down pat ! Goes to show you it's the rider not the bike in most cases.
Cheers Outback
Great video! 👍🏼💪🏼🤩
Thanks for dropping by Yoni ✊
Question of the nerdy dr650 type what sprocket sizes are you running, mine is stock and I was thinking of lowering it?
Better get a gander at our newest episode. Full bike check
th-cam.com/video/Wz-q4_I9Zqo/w-d-xo.html
I'm reworking my DR650 & curious about your suspension setup:
What do you weight and what spring rates are you using? (want to be able to compare that vs racetech and Procycle recommendations to see where my end goal is likely to end up)
Emulators?
Yeh teknik emulators. 7kg rear , .50 fronts. Was different setup when this video was shot though. I'm something like 75kg
Do you use a external mic in your helmet ?
Yep I do, specific listed in description
Awesome vid, mad skills 🤙🤙
Cheers mate thanks for dropping in
yeah Beno - got the pig pretty dial hey. Sorry mate catching up on your old vids
Not that dialed, she takes some fair effort to hold onto but that's what I like about it, keeps things interesting
I want a DR650 so bad i can taste it.
Taste like donuts
What size take is that? Awesome video by the way! I can’t wait for the snow to melt now.
Its the 25ltr Acerbis. Cheers
Hey mate amazing vid crazy how you can chuck that bike around what gearing do you have
Thanks Isaac, the Warpig runs 15/44
@@SKIDSnSTUFF cheers, your an absolute beast on it 💪
Assuming that I could even live through what you just did I wouldn’t be able to walk for months.
Haha thanks for dropping in
In what gear did you climbed the hill? Sounded like the motor was struggling to go up maybe 2nd?
Yeh 2nd I'd say then had to clutch it up the last bit. Couldnt risk changing down and spinning it up on that hill
@@SKIDSnSTUFF good thing it went well. Is the bike heavy ?
@@user-xl6vt7ev2s heavy compared to an enduro bike, not heavy compared to a Harley. I don't know the weight, don't notice it too bad as long as I keep it upright and hold momentum, can become problematic as soon as ya get out of shape a bit
@@SKIDSnSTUFF thanks
@@SKIDSnSTUFF being honest with yourself.. if you had the decision of having one trail bike let's say a crf250 and a 250 street scooter for city riding or a double purpose bike for trail and street riding like the DR650 ?
What exhaust are you running? That thing sounds amazing!
Delkevic Tri Oval. Here for the vid.
th-cam.com/video/gUtQ_jjcvwo/w-d-xo.html
Nice video, what sprockets are you using?
I run 44/15 find it is best all round compromise
Thanks, that was my question too, and thanks for the answer Skids
I wonder what gears he uses
15/44

Wow
Thanks for dropping in Cayoot
and to think, i got rid of my dr-z400 because it was a bit heavy. considering i used to ride a sachs madass 125 on the local trails, it was a bit of a change, haha.
I chose the DR over the DRZ in the hope it could still be used for single track. It has exceeded expectations :)
What's the purpose of the convex mirror in the middle? BTW, you can throw that big pig around pretty good!
Its just the rear view mirror folded inwards for bush riding so it doesnt get smacked about. But it does come in handy for checking my helmet cam is recording.
@@SKIDSnSTUFF Ah. Makes sense.
