we cant ride much single track in the woods its illegal most places in uk. some tight tracks. when you get tired its gets very hard riding. least a slow speed crash.
Does it ever! I’m gonna bring a folding saw and cut back some of the growth then make a loop of it which looked easy enough to do. I never had a reason to go the way he lead us so I never came across it. Couldn’t believe there was more dirt than rock for a change.
How you liking your DR? I am thinking of getting a dual sport to add to the stable. Mostly thinking FE501, but the DR is at a tempting price point. Hope you are doing well.✌
I like it a lot. This one is far from stock. I got it from a buddy already set up. Custom shock, heavier springs.. there’s a list of like 30 items lol. I’ll always need a true dual sport in the stable. To me a 501 is just a plated dirt bike. I wouldn’t want to do a lot of heavy commuting on it like I do with this. I essentially just change the oil every 3k and forget about it. Sure it’s a bitch to pick up.. but it’s cheap to fix, cheap to maintain, 24 years loaded with aftermarket shit. Since it’s my only bike now I think it fits the bill perfectly for me. I went down one tooth in the front but it’s still a bit tall for tight woods but I can still cruise 70 to work without screaming the motor. To maintain dual sport-ability, you have to remember everything is a compromise. I still may try an easy hare scramble with it cause I do miss being apart of them even though they tended to kick my ass. Something like ormond or the beehive enduro I think would be ok with this. Need a little more seat time on the trail to build up the strength though. I’m doing good.. hope you are the same.
Sounds like you no longer have the Beta? I keep thinking DR as an only road legal bike. Hate riding on the highway but don't mind backroads at 55-65 which I think the DR would be well capable of doing for a day ride mixed with light off-road to explore. Only other bike I keep looking at is the CB500X which I'm afraid I'd be dissapointed with once beyond easier offroad.
Nope. No beta anymore. DR is my only bike now. Not even going to compare it to the beta cause well.. you can’t. The DR is of course a handful when it’s tight and chunky but it’s what I got. However the way it’s set up it’s plenty comfortable 99% of the time. Pegs are lowered. Bars raised. I ride it to work often. It was perfect for the 7 mountains dual sport ride I just did. It’s a good all arounder bike. I’d sooner go for a DR over the CBX if I were planning any significant trail riding.
The DR can do just about everything!!!
Great ride!

PJs hidden single track looks cool.

Awesome videos man, that place looks sick to ride, but quite slippy!

@@PennsylvaniaDualSport nice. Yeah, a dr with tuned suspension and aftermarket parts is a capable machine. Thanks for the reply.
