I try very hard to bring next lev gameplay everytime I showcase this game, and while it definitely didn't pan out the way I wanted to, I am happy if anyone was entertained by this. Retrorunner dont be upset about this stuff. Obvously you are one of the best and you had a good run. The important thing is that you manange to make a entertaining video. I really enjoyed it. Things just happen and its not that important.

This is a brutally difficult run. Dying to demon is normally an instant reset; there is no backup. Props for keeping your composure, adjusting strats on the fly, and getting it done. Much love TRR.
Wow! This is still an amazing run. I still can't beat this damn game. I've gotten to the final bosses, but can't seem to be the second one. Very fun run to watch. Nice job!
I had to head to work by the time he died to the Demon while just over estimate. So glad to see he managed to finish; I was wondering if he did or not.
ironically.. the ratio of time spent on everything before 6-2 and everything after 6-2 is pretty much exactly what its like for anyone's first time beating this game.. as hard as everything before 6-2 was.. if your actually going to beat the game you'll spend twice as long on the last 2 stages.
Why doesn't he try to attack the tail of the final demon? It seems like it would be a good marathon-safety strat. Way to hold it together on a super impressive run.
It’s a trade off. The longer it takes to beat the demon, the more likely it is to get bad RNG with the scorpion spawns. So there’s better returns on the quick method and hope you get good RNG.
In any%, this is a very fair observation, but in low%, you're getting to the demon with very little health, and 3 health or less is a 1 hit KO situation. I've never actually died to the demon in low%😅 so I was very unprepared for that particular fact, struggled with my mash under pressure, and also got some unfortunate aggro patterns from the demon. Thanks so much for the support and interest in this horse pill of a run to swallow 😂
@@alexgrunde6682 It's not really fun in a speed-running sense but if you are actually cautious attacking the demon you really can dodge all the shrimp. edit: This is in no way a dig at the run. Retro is a BEAST.

Some of my favorite GDQ runs have been those that struggle. It really illustrates how hard some of these runs and how talented the runners
