One of the most intimidating Venom depictions I've ever seen. Doesn't talk much compared to other forms of media he's portrayed in -- aside from the chilling "Hunger..." and "Feed...".
Ultimate Venom is more aggressive than his main counterpart.

Nah this looks right in the limbo of neither good 2d nor good 3d. The shadow's all off for the style to work.
If they had more distinct shading I think it could’ve been even better. The gradient shading ages it poorly.
This venom is one of my favorites in design and backstory.

22:24-Longed this final combo Spidey gave Venom. Felt like the perfect closure to both their rivalries. Especially appreciate how with that final shoryuken, you see how he shakes his arm, meaning he broke messed up his fist putting all that force into that punch.
Yeah, utterly stupid and makes literally 0 sense. :) In no depiction of Venom, ever, does Spider-Man defeat him in that manner. Spidey always utilized Venom's signature weaknesses in order to gain the advantage because, otherwise, he cannot survive a direct encounter and win a straight up 1v1 fight just like that. This just felt like brain-dead, lazy writing.
@@arcticwolf6402 I mean he did use Venom's weakness of electricity in their first fight. I think he's just gotten used to fighting Venom, so he can get to the point where he knows how to knock him out. It's basically their 3rd or 4th fight in the story. Spider-Man has grown since then.

I thought about a game based on the Venom movies, not necessarily taking place in the same continuity of the movies but separate one based on or derived from the movies. Or hell make a game based on the Extreme Venomverse where Venom and Eddie become Spiderman, I think that would be fun.

IMO the most menacing variation of Venom. EVER. Both in behaviour and appearance. All other variants seem like they have humanity left in them, this one seems unhinged; like venom with the mindset of carnage.
If I hadn’t played this game I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been interested in the symbiotes as much as I am now. This version of Venom was so cool. Also I find it ironic how Carnage looks more alien than his normal 616 version that’s an actual alien lol. I loved the whole lab experiment gone wrong symbiotes rather than the alien version tbh

You could play it using the copy of the game and using backwards compatibility, although that wouldn't work with gamecube versions until nintendo decides to make another Desktop console, plus you would need a original disc on all of the versions, and still, Sadly, you wouldn't get remastered graphics.

I really loved playing this game back when I was 10-11 years old. I especially loved the Venom segments because they made you feel like an unstoppable monster. The world was simpler back then.

Fun fact: It was eventually stated that this game does NOT take place in 1610, the Ultimate continuity. It was supposed to be the follow-up to the Venom arc of the comics, but then the comic adaptation took nothing from the games, leaving the game non-canon. This game is the diverging point between 1610 and an unknown universe, with this game being the other universe’s version of the War of the Symbiotes.

This was extremely good for its time, had it on the GameCube, played the shit out of it my entire childhood. I still have it to this day❤️ the venom scenes and fights used to scare the shit out of me when I was small. Never was a really soft guy but I always turn into a child again when I think of SpiderMan or I see him on Tv, games, etc.. Super powerful to think a fictional superhero holds the key to my heart.

As weird as this Venom was I grew up with this version and love it. The Ultimate Spider-Man universe has a cool way of changing up the characters in some unique ways
How Is This Venom Weird?
This Is the Closest Venom to look Like whatever Venom From the Original Comic Looks Like, and This doesn't Even have the same backstory as Earth 616 Venom yet Still manages to look more autenthic to It Than Any other Venom appearences in Spiderman Movies LOL.
@@MDT92 for one, he has a purple highlight rather than dark blue. Also his mouth is shaped differently, and he acts more like a monster than a character, instead of talking he just flat out roars and kills everything he sees. Plus I meant weird in a good way.

To make a Quick example, There Is a very simple reason why he tries to kill Spiderman in multiple occasions and that Is beacuse the Suit was still filled with Peter's DNA After he transformed the First Time and couldn't switch to Eddie's copium directly without First Having absorbed a Copy of Peter's abilities First.
At the end of the game, Venom Is even able to infact absorb Peter and says something along the line of "i have reached Absolute, Total control, and now i have a score to settle(referring to Trask, Who betrayed his father and stole a Sample of the Suit for his own Experiments)",
and earlier in the Game even Venom says "the Suit needs you, needs you!" To Peter implying that whenever It Is trasforming It Is beacuse Peter is close to Eddie and the Suit Needs Peter to be complete.
Venom isn't even the One giving himself a "mindless monster Status", Trask Is litterally the One sending the whole Shield After him to take care of his evil experiments, prior to that Venom was really only fighting Peter and no One else, and in the fight with Wolverine he was still under the effect of their First fight with Peter and never reversed back the transformation hence why the ruthless Killing, and It's also likely Peter never left Eddie's surroundings at that point.
Also, you do realize the Original Venom Is even more Brutal than this Venom here right?
Earth 616 Venom in the Boss issue #2 Is litterally explained to be immune to Hellfire(different to normal Fire by Marvel standards), in Thunderbolt issue #173 Ghost Rider can't penance stare him beacuse he has too many eyes, and in Ghost Rider #152 GR can't penance stare him beacuse he litterally says he has too many sins, he even overpowered Knull, Decapitated a Celestial and with the Uni-power Vaporized the All necro Sword, which was a Sword that litterally killed all gods in Marvel, the mouth and Skin color thing are Just due to hardware limitations and age of the game, he looks more similar to the original Venom in the actual comics, example in the second issue of Ultimate Spiderman (the First Time he and Peter fight under the Rain), you can clearly see resemblances to the original Venom.
You're just trying to fit the Whole superhero narrative that most Marvel Fans have of Venom, and i've never said or thought you said weird in a negative way, but i also don't care that you have to speak positively without bothering to document yourself first.
I would've rather had you Speaking negatively while also Having a Little knowledge over what you were talking about than Speaking positive and knowing nothing, It Is good, but it's good Simply in the normal way, not in the Kind of way that you want It to be.

This game was ahead of its time.
Not really. Web swinging wasn’t as fluid as spider man 2 and these cutscenes were pretty clunky with delivery and voice syncing even when it was current. Fun though to play as venom

I remember I could absolutely never get past the Green Goblin fight all because of one of the button mashing sections where you had to save a civilian.
I had such a deep seething hatred for that person because the speed required to mash the button to get them out from under the car was inconceivably fast.
It also didn't help that Green Goblin was coming at you relentlessly while trying to save people

Man I remember as a kid how both this game and the 90s cartoon were my first introduction to the character. Always liked how in the Ultimate universe they had Eddie as a childhood friend of Peter and a sorta older brother figure before he tragically becomes Venom. Preferred that angle over the jerk rival at the Daily Bugle and like that it influenced the origin story in the Spectacular Spiderman cartoon. It makes the whole conflict between Spiderman and Venom even more tragic since they are former friends turned enemies instead of rivals from the beginning.
Pretty similar case in insomniac venom but with harry which what made me really like insomniac venom just wish he had much longer screen time, I also really the idea of how both were childhood friends in ultimate spider man it really gave venom a lot more character even tho I do like the 90s and spectacular venom I always liked the character more in the ultimate universe

Forgot wolverine being in this tbh 😂 and playing as venom was quite the experience
