- Spider Man 2000 PS1 Venom All Scenes.
The game follows Spider-Man as he is framed by a doppelgänger for stealing a device created by a supposedly reformed Dr. Otto Octavius. The game features Venom, Carnage, Scorpion, Rhino, Mysterio and an exclusive-to-game Symbiote Doctor Octopus as story elements and boss battles. Three sequels were released in 2001; one developed by Torus Games, Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six which served as a follow-up to the Game Boy Color version, and a true sequel developed by Vicarious Visions, Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, released exclusively for the PlayStation, followed by a standalone sequel Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace, released for the Game Boy Advance. This game and its PS1 sequel feature narration from Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee.

@@farenhaid13421 Ah yes. He's not fully evil, and has his share of good deeds. But he's certainly not a good guy. Eddie is a man filled with hate who doesn't take responsability for his actions. One of the reasons I didn't like his depict in the 2018 movie. He was a completely nice and chill guy there.

I always loved how this game has an original story that isn't an origin. The game expects you to already know these characters. As a kid, this was my first ever exposure to Spiderman and me not knowing any of these characters got me buying all the toys, having my dad educate me on every villain that appeared, me being petrified of Venom. Its such a good game and gave a lot of us our best memories as Spidey fans
This game is on DC's animated movies level... But more family friendly
it always bothered me that we will never get a spiderman movie where peter is an adult already since we always have to go back to the origin stoy every 5 years or so

I remember playing this as a kid not knowing much about the comic side of spiderman. All my knowledge came from the Raimi movies but I still loved every second of it
My guess is, especially with the actors from the cartoons back, they figured the target audience watched those cartoons or read some comics.
It’s fucking insane how good and well directed this game was.
The banter between Venom and Peter, the portrayal of Venom and the rest of the cast, it’s like watching a comic book come to life right off the pages.
This game was ahead of it’s time and should have set the standard for what comic book adaptations should have come to be.
It's also amazing looking, even for a ps1 game the visual direction is so detailed and well shot

It’s cool how Venom calls Spider-Man Parker throughout the entire game but when he’s around others he cares enough to hide spideys identity from them. Idk why I just think it’s cool that even though he doesn’t like Spider-Man and knows his identity he chooses to keep it a secret anyway.
I think he acts like this because Peter also knows Venon secret identity. So its like: " I dont tell if you dont tell either"...

The best portrayal of Venom where? In cartoons? No. You have SM The Animated Series and Spectacular SM. In Comics? Definitely no. In games? Maybe, but definitely not in terms of looks, as there is Ultimate SM.

This was literally the comics Venom jumped right off of the pages and into motion, by definition it is the best portrayal of the comics Venom to date. Nothing has ever come close to capturing what he was like at the time onto a screen like NeverSoft did.

@@alastair7095 Venom wasn't really portrayed as goofy in most stories that I read. He is always depicted as a darker take on Spiderman who wants to enact his version of justice. But in the two films so far he is kind of like this incarnation quippy, silly and somewhat childish. Not that its a bad thing its just somethin I noticed

Venoms introduction is as good as it gets.
Dark smokey alley, Heavy creeping riffs, the brutal voice acting, the character design, it's nothing but goosebumps.
I can't expect to be terrified of venom as an adult, but I wish I was a kid again just to know if the current movie Venom is scaring kids the way he should and did back then.

I agree, though I will say the that the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 version is still a very fine and well done interpretation of the character. I dont think it needs to top this to still be a good rendition.
If anything, I see it as more of a spiritual successor to the Web of Shadows Venom, just with more clearly defined and fleshed out character motivation because the game had more development time than WoS.
Definitely agree, they literally stated it was gonna be something new. When it's literally the same "oh no! My childhood friend or mentor is my main enemy!" For the third row. and literally try to use the same formula like ultimate spider-man (like peter and eddie) but only failed mostly with it..venom's honestly cooked in the iso verse and probably never gonna be used again anyway.
The voice acting in this game was so top notch. Venom was perfect too. Kinda amusing that they basically did the same thing for the movie 18 years later.

That whole chase in the building was a masterpiece. Venom scaring the same lady with the same dialogue twice, Peter hurting his head and they also use the same dialogue but this time back to back to add to its perfection. And of course Venom being a peeping tom was icing on the cake!

Sony owns the movie rights to Spider-Man, not game rights - otherwise Spider-Man wouldn't appear in any of the other Marvel games (eg. Marvel vs. Capcom, the Lego games, Ultimate Alliance, mobile games, etc.)

@@gedeonnunes5626 If I recall, Sony wanted to make an exclusive Spider-Man game so they asked Marvel and Insomniac to make it. Worth noting that Insomniac WAS a 3rd party company after they made Spider-Man PS4, but now Insomniac is owned by Sony.
Also Marvel/Disney retained all rights of the X-Men again, but the new Wolverine game is still going to be a Sony exclusive. Hopefully that cleared some stuff up :)

That Carnage/Doc Ock Symbiote legit scared the hell outta me the first time I got to that final chase scene. The way the voice kept saying "KILL YOU!" still gives me chills!
Yeah and at the time I was like 9 or 10 so I tried to run and couldn’t figure out I had to run with the Camera facing me. I ended up always running into the sides of the tunnel and would get blown up 😂😂

The fact that I still dream about the ending boss fight where Carnage Ock chased you still gives me nightmares to this day that just means Dee Bradley Baker did a amazing job. So to me one of the best Spider-Man games ever. Also Daran Norris AK Cosmo from The Fairly OddParents did a fantastic and I mean fantastic job as Venom!
This is one of the best versions of Venom ever. People forget that he is an antihero after he is a villain in the comics. They just look at the cartoons or Spider-Man 3 to prove he’s a villain. I love that the Venom movies are following this approach and actual comic storylines.

Don't forget the Ultimate Spider-Man comics as well, where Venom is portrayed as nothing more than a mindless monster who eats random innocent people all the time in order to keep the symbiote from eating Eddie from the inside. I like that version of Venom, but people sometimes looked at that version along with the cartoons and Spider-Man 3 to prove he's a villain like you said. And now after Spider-Man 2, people are gonna bring that game's Venom up to prove he's a villain. Like, ngl, i love the game, it's good, but it could've been better, especially Venom's characterization.

What i loved about this game was they explained all the characters and their backstories over the menu.

I also enjoyed the addition of the symbiote tentacles, especially in that chase sequence. Sure they are just 2d images stretched and squashed around, but the fact some had a different color for the eyes and whisked around when Venom lunged further away from the player is most impressive.

Eddie saying "I can't fight him anymore" suggests that in this game's universe be suppressed the symbiote for a while and Venom only came back after Mysterio broke his camera and the stress of thinking Jonah would fire him.
