  • This is a short video from a recent fly fishing trip a friend and I went on in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. We fished many rivers as well as Blue Lake. Blue Lake is quite remote and we did see more than a few bear droppings, so if you plan to camp at Blue Lake be prepared to hang food in a bear bag or use a bear can. We also noticed large dog tracks which could have been left by wolves. Blue Lake is a great location to explore.

Thanks Critter! I was blown away with the beauty of the lake - planning to make it a moto trip destination! I'm no fisherman...kinda find it boring but there's a beauty in working the fly. The sound, the movement, I found it quite relaxing. Do give it a try. :)

Thanks man - not a moto video but I couldn't help but share the beauty of the locations. How lucky are we to live in a time where we can travel to so many amazing locations our land has waiting for us. No matter how we get there, its worth soaking it all in :) Ride far my friend!

Brad, this video really hits the target when it comes to Fly Fishing. The serenity of a lake or stream and the absolute peace of being in a beautiful spot in nature. Your filming and editing is at a whole other level. I also can imagine the stay there was amazing also. Thank you for posting this video.
    Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words DOC, glad you enjoyed this one. In so many ways nature puts perfection on display, very difficult to replicate in the edit - even now I see where I would make changes but the act of putting the video out there means I'll be, in some tiny way, better prepared for the next. ADV ON!

Beautiful Video Brad, there is an inner peace when fly fishing, the world fades away. Even catching a fish loses importance when in the moment. I used to fly fish in Montana when I worked fires years ago, I forgot I still had a rod. Maybe I'll try it again. Thank You.

it kind of made me think of what life must have been like 100's of years ago, the stillness, the sound of bugs and breeze...with the fish breaching the water. it was a great experience, i look forward to going again - maybe even adding a rod to my moto kit. Thanks for watching!

@@perpetualmoto when I flew forest fires 🔥 I always carried a collapsible fishing rod in the nose of the plane. You got me thinking maybe I should incorporate some fishing the old collapsible rod with a ride, just to reconnect. Take care.
