There's a handful of good freshwater fishing channels on TH-cam. This is one of my new favorites. I like your vibe. Not overly excited every time you hook up, you cook your fish a different way in every video I've seen yet, and you don't do the whole, dry scripted monologues edited in. That always feels so hokey to me. This feels much more genuine. Like fishing with a homie or something.
I love the excitement of you finally catching a tiger trout after all those rainbow trout!!! That water clerity in the second pond was nice! Cool seeing the fish from shore and being able to site fish.
Just happened upon this video while looking for fishing ambience for some background sounds. This brought back fond memories of my Gramps who was big into fishing. He passed away last year and lately I've had the urge to go out fishing in his honour. The love of fishing just really shines through and I love your enthusiasm and just overall positive outlook you had going in this video. I look forward to watching your other videos!
Nice video! I was surprised the way he cooked the fish. In my country we might fry it, but never with eggs and other staff. We would make barque! Just some salt and complete fish on the fire, no filleted.
Man I kinda sped read this comment and saw gold and crispy on a catch and cook video and thought dude was eating golden trout.... glad I suck at reading.
Mountain House is BY FAR the best Freeze-Dried Food that there is! There is nothing better than being in those settings, and catching the finest tasting Fish that exists...Brook Trout! =P'
Nice trout, man! Brook trout are some of the prettiest fish in the planet, in my opinion. I live in Maine, where (especially up in the northern half,) we have tons of brook trout. They’re so fun to fish for, are so beautiful, and are also delicious to eat! All in all, try fishing for brook trout if you can, people. It is more than worth it, especially if you go to a remote trout pond, where there’s nobody but you and the fish and loons.
Nice ! Nice ! Nice ! another awesome video 👍🏼 I’d be into catching those first rainbows all day ! Nice fish ! The tigers were awesome and the those brookies were just gorgeous ! Those filets looked mighty tasty too ! Made me hungry ! I would just trade the Cajun for the Wings and Things. I think you’ll like it ! Fish on brother 👍🏼
Wish I was there, those are some good looking ,brook trout ,as a young man I'd hike in remote Maine ponds and catch brook, camp out ,as I got older and brought my boys camping and fishing in the wilds .good times you couldn't buy those memories . Ill have them them till I go to the beaver pond in the sky.Enjoy while you can
I've been trout fishing most my life. Never even heard of a tiger trout. Awesome print..looks more like a leopard print tho...eitherway,, beautiful fish.
I just watch your video's. I also fish for trout. Kyrgyzstan is watching. Your video's always interesting. I am sorry, my English is very bad. Hello from Kyrgyzstan.
Great video but I think I'll stick to pan frying in butter while doing a camp cook. 10-12" trout should just be fried whole with some potatoes and maybe an avacado if you so desire. I know the avacado is a california thing but it really does go great with fish or any meat really and a squeeze of lemon
Sweet man! I'm in eastern Wa and wanting to break out into mountain lake fishing. How do you go about finding lakes like this? Obviously don't have to give away any secrets but any suggestion is appreciated!
Looks like good fishing today. The vittles look good too. Try MRES and they'll be better than the MHS stuff. Wish I could come out and visit you sometime. John T.
Hola! I met your mom and her mafia last night out front of my house. Nice people. She and her crew told me about your channel so I subscribed 😊 Best to you and keep the channel growing ❤
SB.... Try PEAK REFUEL dehydrated meals next time. You will see and taste a huge difference. That's all we eat now. Tons more protein and flavor. Their quality is worth buying. We love the breakfast skillet the most, but they have about 5 meals that's are incredible. Just a thought.
Would never occur to me to throw a pink Rooster tail at those fish, works great! Try a #18 bedhead pheasant tail or prince nymph, 80% of what fish eat is under water.
I’m not sure if you’re doing it or not but Wet your hands man, trout are super delicate. Taking that layer of oil off with dry hands and putting them back is like removing a protective layer off them.
Use procure problem solved. There's trophy trout. I know primarily you fish for trout. You get procure you're all set. Also, they have procure blood worm which fish love. The blood worm you can use for striper, trophy bass for stripers, large mouth and smallies. Also, can get the mole crab soft plastic and procure mole crab attractant. Then there's sweet corn for trout, carp, catfish, and bass. Multiple species like the corn scent. Finally, there's shrimp scent for bass and striper.
Hey ! New here. Loved this video. I like to fish for trout as well. I usually have caught Rainbows, but I caught my first Brown the other day. Awesome cooking as well ! Also, never have seen a Tiger trout before. I don't think they are here where I am.
Nice video as usual. I couldn't tell by watching. Were you using a sinker to cast out? If so, how far up from the fly or jig. Also, how far out are you casting them? They are so light I wouldn't think that you could cast them out very far without weight.
Hey David, I know you were asking the creator of the video, but thought I'd offer my style! For lightweight spinners/jigs, I pinch on a split shot about 6-8 inches above the lure. If I'm spinning flies, and need to cast them far, I do a drop shot technique where the drop shot weight is tied about 10-15 inches BELOW the fly (the fly is tied inline). ✌️🎣
That's a pretty fish I've never heard of tiger trout where can you catch these fish? I'm from New Mexico and have never seen those fish before. What part of the country can you catch them.

I'm a fly fisherman and seeing you catch so many fish on worms makes me think about changing it up now and then. Great job!
worms work the best usually unless the trout are skittish. Pink power bait trout worms are almost cheating

Best channel for fishing content out there! Love that it comes from my home state. Just got back from Buckeye Lake in the Uintas this weekend
You've got to be careful when walking around Buckeye. Swampy, marshy and some quicksand.
Big fish for a small pond ! must be stocked .
Nice video!

I never cooked trout this way before, definitely will try this but I’m going to soak it in Frank’s Red Hot sauce.👍

I did not catch some Kokanee that day..

Looked like he had a small, weighted bobber ahead of the fly.
I wasnt using a weight. The bobber was just heavy enough for me to cast out a little ways.
