- So what’s the best Carbon/Aramid Fiber case for the iPhone 15? I tested 8 cases that I considered Carbon/Aramid fiber first and here’s my Top 5!
In general, the cases I based this list on are ones that were Carbon/Aramid Fiber focused rather than iPhone case focused. There are lots of companies that have cases with Carbon/Aramid fiber finishes but very few will make the entire case out of them.

LaterCase Cyber Edition
-one of the thinnest and lightest cases out there
-case is apparently made from Kevlar
-standout feature for me is the precision formed camera area
-I’ll note that on some designs, the aramid fiber will stretch and distort making it look odd
-iPhone access is excellent
-case is easy to remove
-low edges
-MagSafe functionality isn’t built into the case so the connection between the iPhone and accessory is really weak.
Spigen Enzo Matte Black
-For me, this is the baseline for CF cases
-basically a thin case with a piece of aramid on the back
-accents are too shiny
-your iphone sits on a comfy bed of microfiber for scratch protection
-additional protection offered by air pockets in the corners
-the case edges are quite loose so I’d be apprehensive about dropping it face first
-the one feature that keeps this case from the top 3?
-the finish is too slick so it feels like your iPhone is going to slide out of your hand all the time.
Benks Magnetic Case with Kevlar 600D
-The Benks Magnetic case, made with 600D Kevlar, is excellent.
-It features real Kevlar on the back.
-The case has high-quality buttons.
-The action button on iPhone Pro models is distinct, making it stand out.
-The camera area is protected by a metallic lip, which feels superior compared to other Aramid fiber cases.
-The case's texture is decent and not as slippery as the Enzo.
-The Kevlar fibers are slightly noticeable to the touch.
-While the case edges are shallow, potentially risky for face-down drops, their rigidity can reduce impact damage.
-A unique aspect of the Benks case is the additional Aramid fiber layer inside.
-This inner layer makes the case unique, though a microfiber lining might be preferable to avoid back scratches.
Pitaka MagEZ Case 4
-The Pitaka MagEZ 4 is the thinnest case compatible with Magsafe.
-It's an improved version of the Latercase.
-Pitaka uses 1500D aramid fibers in some cases, providing more texture.
-These cases are available in various colors; the star peak version has an exceptionally good feel.
-Another version, the fusion weaving case, has less texture but still performs better than Spigen and Benks cases.
-The case offers easy access to the iPhone without obstructions.
-Like the Latercase, it has shallow edges.
-In terms of protection, the 1500D aramid fiber makes it more impact-resistant than 600D cases, but it's only 0.6mm thick, so a severe drop might still cause damage.
-The main downside is its price; it costs around $70, which is quite expensive.
Pitaka MagEZ Pro
-First of all, this MagEZ pro looks awesome
-with the cutout area, Pitaka went with a ½ metallic, ½ plastic design as the outer edge is plastic and the inner is metallic
-this helps keep the phone from sliding around on it’s back BUT the inside of the ring is a bit sharp
-iPhone access is top notch, had no issues
-edges of the case are quite rigid and are high enough for a screen protector
-standout feature of this case is the aramid finish wrapping around the case edge
-nobody else does that
MonoCarbon Carbon Fiber Case
-If MagSafe wasn’t a thing, this would have taken the place of the Latercase in this video
-nothing special about the product
Memumi Real Aramid Fiber
-disliked the design
-corners have been cut to ensure the case can be installed
-makes this relatively expensive product look really cheap
-not MagSafe compatible
Simple Carbon Fiber Classic Series
-the case that the Carbon Fiber is glued to is incredibly cheap
-way overpriced product
-poor build quality

Agree completely pitaka magez 4 pro is my favourite armid fiber case. The fit and feel are incredible. My Mous limitless 5.0 in armid fiber is my favourite case for protection they are both fantastic cases.
How in gods almighty name did you take the pitaka case off?
Been rocking an ezcase 4 and can't go back to anything else. It's so thin and works great for the everyday drops and spills.
I have a pitaka mag ez pro and a latercase, I tend to use the latercase most of the time

Only thing I’m not a big fan of the mag ez pro is how sharp the corners are on it. Other than that. I absolutely love it, and it’s the case I use when not using my Andar Leather case in turquoise.

Have the Benks MagClap™ Hybrid case which has a felt back and 1500 Kevlar, which wasn’t reviewed here. Also has a minimal raised edge above screen protector. I’ve been very happy with it so far.

is blackbrook band good? i found full grain leather products on their amazon store like iphone full grain leather case with book cover that is detachable and has alot of storage and also is magsafe, can you please tell me anything about the band or their quarity if not the product itself? since apple no longer makes leather i need look on different bands, and that seems rather cool since my ID is same size as my iphone 13 pro max back and carring it around is diffuclt plus i cant carry cash with me that way easy.

I love my Pitaka. I’ve never been a fan of carbon fiber aesthetically, but functionally, it’s brilliant. My case is super thin, but also adds grip unlike anything else on the market. Great review as always.
I've bought the phone rebel phone case twice and within 4 month both times it fell apart, literally the sides split open where the seams meet. If you need or want to take it off more than once you're going to wreck it. I bought the gen 3, and the gen 4 and while I really liked the case it was awful in durability. I refused to try again with gen 5. Replaced it with the Mous and it's been slightly worse magsafe connector but at least I can take it off without the sides falling apart.
I like the way Latercase does its camera cut-out, it makes me feel like it's actually being protected. The MagSafe thing is probably the most disappointing part but honestly the "lack" of protection is kinda the point, the goal was to make it as thin as possible.

In my opinion, the best protection you can get from a case, is when it allows you to not drop your phone in the first place. So being able to handle your phone and not have the slippery sides is ideal. They don't look very awesome, but I usually go for the Spigen Thin Fit cases because they don't get slippery. It has a lot to do with the material they are made from. A company can make a case the textured sides, but if the material is slippery, it's still not good.
agreed, I like the Phone Rebel Gen 5's edge. It's quite robust.

Do you have a video for the best iPhone 15 drop proof cases? I'm trying to find an affordable case that I can feel safe if I were to do normal drops. I here a lot of recommendations but you're are the least biast and one of the most educated on the subject
I second this comment. I just got my iPhone and refused to buy the protection cases/screen protector from the store. I also use camera lens covers as well as back screen protectors. Even tho it did me no good since yesterday, my iPhone 13 Pro Max randomly had a “yellow screen of death”. Thanks apple!👎🏻. So now I’m on to protecting yet another phone that will probably shit the bed 🤦🏻♀️

Best design and protection on all the top 5 i think Benks wins, minimal and the metallic color blends with the titanium color

I bought myself that Benks case and sadly had to return it. It has two fatal flaws:
1. The screen lip is not tall enough to extend past the screen protector.
2. The TPU sides of the case are extremely slippery.
The combination of the two issues make the case a liability.
The Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro 4 is overpriced. Maybe if it was $45, but it's not worth $70.
I now use a Rebel case. Not a fan of the small port cutout nor the side texture but at $45 it does a great job protecting my phone.

Arc Pulse is the best. You need it! Buy it and review it!
It makes it so difficult to wipe the lens up. Don't like how the later case covers the bezels of the camera lenses.

I’ve been an Aramid case guy for a while. I just want the thinnest possible case that offers enough protection in realistic scenarios. This includes two Pitakas and two later cases since the iPhone 12 release.
One thing you missed is the recent release of the MagEZ 5 case. They used a new way of embedding the magnets that gets the case down to 0.69mm thickness which made it a no brainer for me. The MagEZ4 at 1mm was too close to a regular case thickness and was why I was using Latercase on my 14 Pro. The 4 price also dropped to $59.
In terms of the camera cover I prefer the latercase design, especially compared to Pitakas razor sharp aluminum. Also I’m not too mad at their “MagSafe compatible” claims as the case is thin enough that it works fine with MagSafe chargers and even car mounts in my experience. It really falls on its face with popsockets though which is why I went with Pitaka this time around.
I’ve been using the magez5 for a several weeks now and it’s the best ultra thin case with MagSafe compatibility. The sunset/sunrise designs are amazing too.

@@Rakeesh_06I don't have first-hand experience with the 4. I chose the Latercase last generation as I wasn't a heavy Magsafe user. I am very happy with my MagEZ 5 and think the magnet is plenty strong for car mounts and Magsafe battery packs I've used it with. Definitely appreciate the thinness vs the 4.

Great video except for the iPhone. The benks case and the thinborn are my two favorites simply because of the magnet strength. I noticed you do not do a magnet strength test. It's all about the magnet strength. The Piaka magsafe is sad. Samsung S24
I have purchased the 600D Pitaka slim case, I much prefer the 1500D, the grip is much better. I have then purchased the Pitaka Pro version but the magnets are weak. It cannot securely handle, with its magnets, my iPhone 15 Pro Max when driving using my Apple MagSafe charger placed vertically 😡

I have been using Pitaka for years - I get a new iPhone every year, and have had a Pitaka for the last 6 years.
With the Pitaka case the bottom edge of my iPhone the paint is chipped off the titanium.
Would that not be an Apple issue 😉

Pitaka for me too. Got the 1500D for my 15 pro max and I love it.
After less than a week I noticed rattling sounds made by buttons when you shake/move the case. Buttons are not OK to rattle. Even more, the grip is barely acceptable.

Like your reviews but point of fact is that "magsafe compatible" means that it will work with magsafe devices. The Latercase does, it's thin enough that the internal magnets will work with most devices. Will the attachment be all that strong? No, but they do work. Wallet will likely fall off in your pocket - lol. They should add the magnets, the lens cutouts are much better looking than the big square opening.
I really was hoping they would make the Spigen Enzo Aramid Fibre case for iPhone 14, I bought their leather version on sale and I personally like the look of the aluminum buttons and accents (maybe I have bad taste). Very insightful video as always!

None of these hold a candle to the “memumi Magnetic Case for iPhone 15 Pro Carbon Fiber 2023”…. I’ve tried all the reviewed cases…. Memumi from Amazon Canada is by far my favourite.

They aren't carbon fibe "cases" … they have a carbon fiber "finish" / "overlay".
