      Not related to this video, but i was wondering witch ATV you guys at Rocky Mountain ATV MC would recommend the Honda trx400ex or the Suzuki ltz400. I'm a trail rider that isn't going to do a lot of mods, just the simple bolt on's. Would like to know your opinion. Thanks

    with my $50, i’d buy 4 cans of SC1 and a snickers bar from the convenience store down the street. A clean bike is a fast bike.

  • @dannuthals7045

    All your choices are really good. I prefer the Works Connection hour meter over the Tusk. I had the Tusk and got false readings - the meter thought the bike was "on" when I was trailering it. No bueno. I do love most Tusk tools and parts tho! Hour meter is #1 for me. Makes reselling the bike easier because you can show the new buyer exactly the number of hours on the bike.

    Rode a crf450x with a crf450R exhuast with backfire screen cutt out. Carb wasnt tuned right and it popped on start up lighting up that lovely uni filter and almost burning the bike to a crisp.

    • @John637
      @John637 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that’s a valid point, I put the twin air high flow kit on my bike but that uses a fire retardant filter to prevent this from happening. Surprised they didn’t mention it in the video.

      2 stroke all the way especially if your saving up for it like your gonna get a 4 stroke and spend 2000 on a rebuild 150 hours later, but a 2 stroke with 60 hours of soft riding and 150 your good

    I have a Crf 450r with the stock airflow screen you discussed. I’ve considered cutting it out, but do you think that could cause more dirt/sand to get in? I think it’s probably there for a reason but just curious
    Thanks

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That screen is a back dire screen. It's not intended to filter dirt/sand. If you were relying on your screen to filter dirt/sand, then your air filter isn't doing it's job. That or you're not using enough oil. - Chase

    • @rockman49er
      @rockman49er ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't cut it out save it and get the one he is talking about if I modifi or upgrade something I save it because your bike is worth more when you sell it with all the stock parts cutting it ruins its value especially if you want to restore it to its original condition

    Good products mentioned I'm actually going to need to order a couple things you talked about. No-Toil kicks Ass I Love the stuff plus its non toxic and it cleans the filter spotless as long as you you use their rim grease and filter oil anything else it wont clean it off as well. One thing besides MX parts i buy from you guys is i always buy my tires for my Harley. I have looked everywhere and can not find them for less than i can with Rocky Mountain . I know some people might think i work for the company but i can assure that I don't. i wish I was getting paid to say this but they really are the best place to buy parts from. The only strange thing I did come across is I was on eBay looking at tires when I first bought my Harley and I saw the tire I needed that Rocky Mountain had posted on eBay and they were asking more for it on eBay than on their own page. I thought that was kinda funny that's all
