Watch as tree planters from Ecosia's project in Senegal react to your video messages.
By planting trees all over the world, your searches on Ecosia touch innumerable lives. You establish a connection with people who live thousands of miles away, speak a different language, and might never have used a search engine.
We think these connections are beautiful, and necessary. Helping people you've never met, who in turn help everyone by planting trees, is a revolutionary act in an increasing individualistic world.
The connection is real, but it remains abstract. So we tried to make it more concrete. Before visiting our reforestation project in Senegal, we asked our Instagram followers to record a message for the tree planters we were going to meet there.

These tree planters are growing so-called #ForestGardens, in collaboration with our local partner, Trees for the Future. In a Forest Garden, different tree species - each playing a specific role - grow alongside a great variety of fruits and vegetables. Their families are better off as a result. Because Forest Gardens produce more, and more diverse, food than monocultures, they increase their income by a staggering average of 400% - which, in this rural area, makes a critical difference.

Such a wonderful project. I do hope they are planting grasses as well in these areas. I recently learnt 4x as much carbon can be absorbed by long grasses (as long as animals graze over them to keep them healthy). More grass cover also equals less surface run off & allows crops/plants to retain water & the soil to maintain nutrient levels. Well done Ecosia & everyone doing their bit 😘
I recently learned climate change is absolutely natural and good for the planet. Weeds grow much better wit higher CO2 rate in atmosphere. Imagine human is not capable to change the longtime climate. But capable to destroy planet, cause environmental destruction, kill animals and so on. We need change in consciousness of people. Then the climate of spirit will change. We need global warming. Higher Temperatures cause more rain caused by more evaporation of the seas. Reason for longtime dry periods is HAARP technology founded by the Military complex to modificate and control whether an people like the Chinese Government (caused snow falls).
Marihuana is very 💪 🌿 to stop environmental destruction/problems. That's the reason why it's forbidden. Eg. Clothes out of it are much sustainable than cotton. A wonder plant.
Grasses shouldnt be planted in forests bc they would die. If you search up ecological succession you'll figure it out Cheers!

Doing searches every day with Ecosia has definitely helped me relieve a lot of my climate change anxiety. I can't thank Ecosia and it's wonderful tree planters enough!!!!
You could also plant a tree or donate to a tree charity. UK only has 13% tree cover and citys like London Manchester pollution is so bad its like smoking 87 cigarettes a day.

Yes, have done both thankfully!!! I have an app called GoogleOne where I have donated quite a bit now for the environment. I also use @Bubblytree. They plant 1 tree every time you watch their Mosaiqe watch ad. : - D
Growing plants and connect with nature helps a lot let go anxiety. As well to turn off tv and stopp hearing brainwashed TV shows telling us we'll all gonna die soon. Decades ago their were afraid of global cooling. Calm down guys we still live in a ice age! Global warming is absolutely natural. 80% of planets history was ice free. Nothing to be afraid for expect retarded animal eating human race killing each other.

Millions of people are taking action. Some of them are demonstrating, some of them are planting trees or raising awareness. And it isn't just about the climate crisis. When I had my first Ecosia advert, I was conflicted between using the charity extension Tab for a Cause and this. It took barely any searching to find that Ecosia was completely transparent, had a much larger percentage of revenue going to the direct cause and benefited one large cause greatly rather than giving a select few charities some decent help. Because Ecosia itself helps plant trees rather than giving money to climate charities, they help increase the impact of every search you make. I'm glad I chose Ecosia but I'm not suprised I did, it's clear and obvious to see that Ecosia is the best choice of browser extension if you wish to help causes such as this in some way. Seeing what everyday searching can do gives hope to the future of our planet. Whoever concieved and created this, thank you for letting me help as best I could :)

Let them have their dislikes. In return, it adds fuel to our firey hearts, it grasps attention, most deserved and it provides a truth that the ugly exists and we shall not forget that.

I love this video and it's good to see that just using your search engine really helps. I've only had it for a couple weeks but I've already done over 100 searches on it I love the counter and never realized how much I search stuff up. This is just so heartwarming when an actual search engine (search engines make millions of dollars and even billions, depending on their popularity and use) is created specifically to help plant trees and save this planet AND also help people in need in places where there aren't many trees. The trees provide a source of income, happiness from gardening and nurturing the tree like a child, and food to eat.

I have had Ecosia as my search engine for more than a year and I did not know that you guys had an app for mobile phones. I thought of looking for it, but never really got around it. This is the way that every company big and small should be thinking. How can we be profitable and have a POSITIVE impact on the planet and all its people. I always have the sense that big corporations...Nestle to name one(!) believe that they can only make money if they are sucking all the resources from both people and the earth alike.
