Women of Impact | How these Women Are Changing Farming

From a career in advertising and finance, to farmers: three years ago, Claire and Gaëlle started a regenerative farm in Gonneville, France.
Our food system is broken and that’s hurting both nature and people. The way we produce food through large-scale industrial agriculture is responsible for a third of all greenhouse gas emissions.
Providing a healthy, affordable and environmentally friendly diet for all will require a radical transition to a regenerative agricultural system.
Gaëlle and Claire want to prove that this transformation is possible.
To kick-start their project, they needed to plant 1000 trees to help regenerate the soil. Ecosia helped them get enough saplings. But we needed some help to plant them.
We got it from @TiboInShape, a TH-camr with millions of followers who called upon his community and some fellow video makers to help the GonneGirls plant those trees.

@Vidas Autenticas if you type it correctly, "Gonne girls farming" you will actually get results. Also you probably have "safe search" off which you can change in settings.
@Vidas Autenticas Like I said you should turn your safe search on to filter adult content. I just attempted searching like you with the keywords you said you used and while i didnt get the result of their website (which you would get if you had just typed "gone girls farm") I CERTAINLY didnt get a first page of *only* or even mostly porn. My safe search is only set to "moderate"as opposed to "strict". Since "moderate" is the default the problem is that you (or someone on your browser) turned off safe search completely. Not Ecosia's fault.

in australia we have to use conservation tillage which is reduced-till, because no-till farming was a (minor) contributor to the mouse plague of 1992

je connais ce systeme du paillage pour faire pousser arbre ou légume :) ça évite l'arrosage régulier car la paille retient l'humidité et ça fertilise le sol et ça fait venir des vers de terre qui aère la terre :) un très bon systeme écologique ^^
j'ai passé 1 ans a apprendre le paillage :)
A translation for English-speakers: 'I am familiar with this straw mulching system for growing trees or vegetables :) it eliminates the need for regular watering because the straw retains moisture and it fertilises the soil and attracts earthworms which aerate the soil :) an excellent ecological system ^^'

Also do you happen to know of any fund, organisation or other way to directly support regenerative agriculture and agroforestry with donations?

Why not hire a local orchard farmer to plant those trees in an hour? There's easier/quicker/more efficient ways to do so. Fun time together, sure, but the work could have been over in a fraction of the time.
A comment for the algorithm.
I am a big supporter of planting trees. But why do you plant the trees just in lines. If you go into the nature there you could not find anything in straight lines. Because the nature is full of curves and everything is mixed. And another thing I want to bring in is the permanent agriculture. There are a lot of things you can have a look. My favorite farmer is Sepp Holzer.

Avoiding baths and showers 5 to 6 days of the week and just wash with soap, cold water and a sponge. The way it was done 100 years ago. Heating water for showering or bathing, uses 20 times more energy than turning lights off or using computers or surfing the internet.. Water is a very small molecule, but it requires a lot of energy to heat it for showers and baths. if 1.1 billion people did this through Europe, the USA japan, then that would reduce national CO2 emissions by between 35% and 50% over night.

I don't see any tropical rainforests in this video. European and Northern Hemisphere forests, do nothing to slow global warming and climate change. 0.5/10 . I am not aware that France has experienced extremely destructive deforestation over the last 50 years. But I do know that the Amazon, and Congo and Borneo rainforests , and Madagascan jungles, have suffered extremely destructive deforestation since 1970..
French forests will help wildlife though.
But I still don't see any tropical jungles in the video. 0.5.10

UK Government is targeting mass replanting/reforestation as part of its climate change commitments. Farmers will play a crucial role in this but they're also very busy people. There's a gradual trend to proscribe planting/gardening not pills for depression, PTSD symptoms, hypertension etc by UK GP's. It's recognised that tree numbers will have to be in the 100's of 1,000's. 1,000 trees planted in one day makes me wonder if Ecosia might want to approach the UK departments for the NHS & Ministry of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs in a joined up thinking/funding practical approach to tackling this sector of the (UK's 2030 emissions reductions targets of which they are legally mandated to do).
As cynical as this is, sadly your projects that mainly take place in poorer parts of the world will never get that much attention. Whereas if you had an extremely high profile project in a (1st world) country & given UK's position as host of COP26, I think that with careful management, Ecosia should be able to very successfully capitalise on such an association for many [decades] to come, growing the search engine far faster than would ordinarily be organically possible.
Unfortunately not a single word about how harmful animal agriculture is for the environment
Industrial agriculture is harmful, and industrial animal farming is the worst there is, no question.
In a regenerative agriculture setting however, the integration of animals can be incredibly beneficial for the environment. Ecosystems naturally evolved with animals and plants working in tandem and that can also be harnessed for food production.
(Obviously current meat consumption levels are based and dependant on industrial farming and will have to be reduced drastically. Saying that animal farming in general is bad for the environment however is oversimplifying things and factually not quite correct).
