Your story is my story also. After struggling with hair loss and buying several wigs I finally found one that I liked and wore it for the first time Sunday at church! I never had so many compliments in my life! It gave me the confidence to now wear the wig and not look like I was wearing one. I too too a picture and changed my profile picture Sunday and this is it. I have also order any wig exactly like the first one just in case. I was afraid to look in the mirror after a few hourse thinking that it would not look good but it did. I'm happy. I wish I would have done it sooner.
Amrita, we appreciate your comment! You're correct, you're not alone in this journey. If you'd like to share your story or connect with women experiencing hair loss please feel free to check out our forum at www.wigs.org/
I'm a female in my early twenties and suffering from genetic hairloss. it's really devastating because I am already ugly in the first place. so I am pretty sure I can't rock the bald look with my beady eyes and huge nose haha. I've seen so many doctors and they just brushed me off saying it's incurable and ask me to suck it up :'(
+DoodleWithMe lsl Hey! I know how you feel... I am actually 24 and have genetic hairloss, too. Haha, and I also think my nose is big! The doctors I went to didn't help me much either... they sure were insensitive! I am using minoxidil since about 3-4 years, but my hair is still falling out. Some days I am quite ok with it, and others I just want to cry...I just want to tell you, you are not alone! I'm sending you a hug!
I'm sure none of you are ugly but I know what your feeling, I started loosing my hair in my early twenties and it does weigh on our self confidence. One thing that has helped me is the fact that I'm not the only one and it's not just me. Plus there are worse things in life we may face, best thing to do is to have a good attitude about life.
Beautiful wigs but affordable? Not so much to someone on a fixed income. Yes there are cheaper wigs but most just look like cheaper wigs. And yes, I do admire anyone who will share their story.

Your story is my story..........same thing. I have been wearing a wig every day for over 20 years. By the way, you are so beautiful.
I am glad to know so many women have such issues and that I am not alone.
