- The H-3 Nozzlenose D has returned to Splatoon 3 Sizzle Season and its a Nostalgic kit from the Original Splatoon game. It is what many called the Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose masked behind this version.
It has Splash Wall and Big Bubbler and i am here to talk about if Is this weapon even GOOD in Splatoon 3.

The kits just seems so defensive but it's specific pair of double walls effectively let's it push into people who play their range game even more and it's very interesting to play.
I am glad you brought up that players don't do enough experimentation. I can look up most if not all the weapons on Sendou and practically everyone has the exact same build just with different gear for visuals.
This is such a big agree for me. I feel like I’ve seen people who don’t give themselves the chance to really learn a weapon because they use generic builds. Not always bad to do so, but switching up gear and playing it out can teach you so much about the feel of the game.
I generally make my own sets but in the case of Sendou I use it for recommendations. I tried Swim Speed/Run Speed/Object Shredder Squeezer and went back to Swim Speed/Run Speed/Sub Saver because I use my wall so much
On the topic of Quick Respawn for the weapon. I think the main use case of QR on H-3 D is to brute force yourself into a critical position where you can be a massive hinderance with your walls and bubble, and using QR to keep trying to force yourself there until you do it, with the idea that once you get there, you're set for a while.
I for real think more people should look into Annaki Nova. It may not be a perfect slayer, but I can consistently only take one or two deaths a whole game while playing the objective. You play at your max range, kite people into mines as you back off a little, and inkjet when they either cluster up trying to catch you or when your team is pushing, it's super good
Personally, I was find having at least one sub of ink Res on h3 to be CRUCIAL. I like having fluidity of movement so that I can line up shots better, and helping get through enemy ink is always a big step.
I do agree that this and L-3 REALLY benefit from run speed, having the extra strafing while you have the lag on shooting helps a lot
I respect how you talk about gear, that you use what feels good for you and it shouldn't matter what top players use or some rando on the internet 😂
it's so weird i think it's really good as a defensive gun but if you don't have anyone pushing to secure space with your walls the match is lost

Me personally, I turned my howdy hat into a pure sub resistance piece of gear for a meme set of pures of that ability.
I used to have a dapple build that was all run speed and ninja squid. I found that when I was swimming I was too brave into shark situations that just sabotaged me. But the run speed was awesome cause especially at the start of the match I'd run across dry land and since I didn't have a ink trail on the flank no one would expect me coming. Was a really fun tactic and I could just see them looking at the map wondering where my ink trail was lol. Run Speed/A+ Troll ability
As someone who is maining H3D, I came up with my own gear of one main of special saver, one main of ink saver, and then one main of run speed up. I think H3D really likes to play for their special, and having the extra ink for fights helps a lot, run speed is of course for mobility but the subs can be customizable however you want, I recommend one or two subs of swim speed though.
Can't wait for a heavy deco video. It's one of the first weapons that I have enjoyed as both fun and challenging since I picked up undercover.
Any weapon is good if Dude is the one using it

I personnaly can't use H3D without some ink saver sub and some bonus for the special gauge, i run 1 main of swim speed but i can't use run speed 😅
To anyone that’s giving it a try, I suggest to wait to put on rsu or ssu until your familiar with H-3. DUDE referred to it with having less ssu. The more movement the build has, the harder it is to aim.
The biggest tip that I can offer with the H-3 is to never mash the fire button when fighting people.
This weapon but with stamp or kraken instead of bubbler would actually have been pretty fun

How much hp increase do u get from special power up? Wouldnt sub power up be better bc two subs give u like 100 hp more on wall. Run and swim speed feel always amazing but i would use some utility like ink res too with those.
So, uh, does anyone know what happened to the Tearing It Up series? Is it like 1 episode a month?

the most grievious weapon in the new sizzle ones is that damn sorella tent, jesus clam blitz has been hell. wall and zooka and the tent shield takes sooo much ink to kill by the time i do im dead anyway.

Honestly, I’ve picked up H-3 quite recently. I have played it at least once or twice on 1 but never too much, and I regret it. The weapon is really fun. I prefer H-3D over VH-3 because I feel like it just usually gives it more options, point sensor (at least in a comp scenario) really isn’t all that valuable, and one of my objectives is to well, push h-3D in comp. I’m not really at a top level, tho I do believe the weapon can work. Walls really are good on it and bubbler can be used in a lot of ways I like. I did enjoy cooler but I just feel like I get way more from D tbh. Just a shame we didn’t get something more akin to splatoon 2 H-3D.
My build is on sendou, if you see a build that looks similar to what relreel used to have, it’s probably me.
i die before wall or big bubbler comes up so often, and sometimes i feel like the bigger radius bubbler got made it worse cuz enemies are more able to enter the shield and attack me, and since i dont have a bomb, i have to rely on my shoddy aim.

I never understood the imitating of gear building. Why should I copy somethin which maybe not match my playstyle? Experimenting with the abilities made me understand how I want to play with the weapons, what I like and what I don't like from a weapon.
You could take it as inspiration, how you could play a weapon, but not must. I understand the most QR builds, but why should I build and play it the same way, if I don't like the style and also want to do something else with the weapon instead?
The biggest problem with the new kit is that H3 has fallen off as the series keeps getting faster. It doesn't have the range, shot velocity, or mobility to keep up with other weapons.

I may sound crazy but I prefer VH3 over H3D especially in rm. I think H3D is decent in zones but I play explo so it’s super hard to justify playing it over explo

It sucks because I’ve been playing this weapon for like almost 8 years now however I get way more results playing better weapons and now seeing how this H3D kit is just mid I have lost hope in H3
