Good to see you and the family are feeling much better Mick, funny that red liquid was only in the bowl and no sign of redness from the tank🤔, good job done, 👍
Hey mate - thanks for popping in my livechat. Glad to see you. As I said during the live was that you were a inspiration for me to start and helped me getting started. Wish you and family all the best and nice to see you are recovering. After rain there is always sun. All the best to you all from Viking land 🌞
Mick, glad to see you back at work! There's a lot of mowers out there waiting for your expertise to put them right! I'm sure they missed you as did we! Cheers!

Funnily enough I took the carb off my old generator today (thanks to your videos for giving me the confidence!) and found exactly the same brown stuff in the bowl. All I can say is it was once unleaded fuel, and has been sat there buried in the back of a shed for 6 or so years. May or may not have had fuel preservative added but I doubt it. Carb is visually similar to yours. Mine also had a small amount of brownish sludge at the bottom of the bowl. All cleaned out and right as rain now.
Mick, great to hear about the youngsters who watch your channel. I learned about mowers on my first job cutting lawns at age 12. That experience later landed me a job fixing mowers at a local hardware store for seven years through HS and college. Along the way I applied my skills to racing go carts and fixing my own cars leading to a couple of antique car restorations. Once you realize you can make things run that are broken it opens more possibilities! Good on you for inspiring the young ones!
Yep Riley sure sounds better 😆 My son has covid and now wifey has it I think with all the moaning and such so I'm staying away I refuse to get it again !!! Cheers Mick glad to see things getting better !!!
Hi Mick hope your well, not related to this video but have you a video that looks at self drive lawnmowers that lock their wheels when pulling them backwards? Not sure if this is a fault my main mower doesn't do that but I've some spare mowers that do?? Thanks in advance Mick keep up the good content 👍
Mick this was an easy one and a money maker, "fuel conditioner for storage" they should take it of the shelf, over used and a poor substitute for poor maintenance.
Hi, This video was great in helping me, I have a very clean carb, mower now starts and the surging has gone. A new problem appeared in that each time I start it, there is a puff of smoke, and engine cuts out every 20mins or so. Any tips?
@@mytanlau then it has to be fuel.. carb.. or tank.. check you are getting fuel to the carb with the cap on.. sometimes the cap has a fault and stops fuel being supplied
@@themowerman When I out the carb back together I was'nt sure how much I should screw the "idle" in as you mention in your video, could that be the issue with my mower?
Hi Mick hope everyone is keeping well, could you do a Briggs & Stratton diaphragm I’ve tried 3 now & can’t get them to work & it’s the genuine diaphragm I’m using not a copy
maybe he mistakenly put home heating oil "fuel oil" in the USA they put red dye in the fuel oil so they can tell if you are using in it cars since home heating oil doesn't have any road tax.

Great to see your all on the mend. I would suggest someone has tipped some redex or similar straight in the carb. No one ever owns up!
I can tell you that even though I'm not a youngster anymore, I would be beaming and ask you for a photograph as well Mick !!
Brilliant video mick, my 2 sons met you in Tesco. You made their day, thanks again

possibly someone put stihl two stroke mix in it by mistake? if not maybe some weird fuel stabiliser crap
