Ive only used super cheap drive cables and found them just as good as OEM. Sometimes a little long or short but i can overcome those problems. I think the last one was £8. You're so right about the length of time it can take to change. When all the bolts are rounded over. The axle won't come out. And the cable has somehow welded itself to the gearbox. Those tools are a great invention.
