This video is out of sequence, lots of selection screens missed. I basically had to ignore your tutorial and do it myself. This guide needs updating.

Question - I installed emudeck with emulation station on my legion go. I couldnt get my lenovo controls to work. Endded up mapping my own controls through emulation station. I got them working buy now my left joystick/thumbstick acts as a directional pad so you cant use the 360 degrees of movement that a joystick offers. Basically the mapping function of the joystick only allows me to map up down left right with the joystick. So when playing a driving game, the joystick has dead zones. Anyway to fix this?

Same. None of these videos explain that part for folk who aren't used to emulation.
Sadly all roms you have to download from online sites since that’s the only place to find them if you don’t already have any

You can download roms quite easily on many different websites, it's not legal to to do so do so at your own risk. The you just extract those files to some location, simple.
I downloaded emudeck but now I’m totally lost as to what I need to do. It says I need bios and roms… how tf do you do all that lol

When I open my emu deck the screen is empty
So I have done everything and installed it on the C drive. But I’ve decided to re-install it from scratch since my SD card has arrived .. but unfortunately even after selecting the “Un-install emudeck” option in the Emudeck.. it still have some files in my lenovo and steam deck still have games covers and emulators there .. and even when I try to install it from the beginning.. it does show the SD card in first step for installing but in fact it install everything in the C drive .. when I go to the steam app > settings .. it’s not showing my SD card there, so it’s like unrecognized.. any help will be appreciated ☹️
How big is your sd card?

The Legion Go L shortcuts get in the way of the Retroarch hotkey combinations, a little irritating..
Adjust them.
@user-vd2td3yb1c Changed MAME in game menu to L2 but actually Select (the old Legion store button) strangely does all the combinations you need if pressed swiftly. Select / Start to bring up Retroarch menu / quit etc. Works well. You'd think that by switching to put the Legion Go menu buttons on the bottom the shortcuts would also move. Not a biggie, absolutely love the Go, handled beast. Currently smashing Elden Ring.
I loved emudeck when I had my steam deck but I'm not paying for that. I'll just download the emulators I want separately for free.
Still in beta access and you have to pay for it is not a good combination. Hard pass
