Thanks. The lesson for me is that if the "Bosch Dishwasher Drain Pump Lid Cover" doesn't audibly "click" into place, it will wiggle loose again soon and fail to complete cycle due to failure to drain.
I was wondering if you have any idea how to get things that have worked past the propeller into the channel that flows to the left of the propeller? (Going by the view/position that you've video'ed here) I can just get the tip of my baby finger in there, it took a lot of contortion of my smaller girl-hand to get it squisted up in there, but just barely, with the very tip of my finger, i can feel something in there. But before I end up getting something out that isn't supposed to be removed, do you know if there is maybe a valve or something in there that I could be feeling? I can't find anything online that shows this or even a diagram of the direction of the water flow, unfortunately. At first, I thought that it could it be something that NEEDED to come out. So I first tried a shop vac and a wet cloth to form a better seal to pull it out, but it only made it shift a few mm out, but no luck. I then tried adding back water and a small sink plunger. Again, no luck. I then tried stripping and using a thin twist tie wire (making a small hook on the end) to try to grip it and see if I can hook it out somehow, but when I touched it this time, probably pushing it further in, it suddenly made a gurgling sound and I felt a rush of cold water hit my hand.... scared me! Lol (I wasn't expecting that! Lol ) ....that's when I realized that maybe it's something that NEEDS to be there! Oops! I can't really get a good feel of it, as just the tip of my finger can reach it, but it feels more like a piece of wadded plastic or mylar wrap type of texture possibly. I always find those dang apple/banana stickers in there. But this has a bit of a stiffer feel, so now I'm not sure if I need to keep trying! Lol This all started with that E15 code! This time, the door seal wasn't dirty, so I suspect a leak somewhere, possibly... But I always check the sump area first. There's always something in there! Lots of pet hair, pieces of plastic, etc. Sorry for the long comment. I can't ever seem to keep it short. I'm wondering if you have any ideas? Or know if there actually is a valve in there maybe? Regardless, thanks very much for making the video! I have had to clean out this multiple times, and it's a mystery sometimes as to how some stuff gets in there to start with!
Great question, That thing is supposed to be there and is a round rubber piece that lets water flow away from your Bosch, but won’t let it flow back into your dishwasher. I think I know what’s causing the E15. Can you send a few pictures or a video of how the dishwasher drain hose is routed under your kitchen sink?
How do i remove the front panel to access underneath the dishwasher? I have an E15 and the impeller turns freely and white cover is properly seated. Help please if you can 🙏
You can unplug it and then remove the black metal cover held on by 2 Phillips head screws. Then you might see a silver metal cover held on by 4 Torx 15 screws. Once that’s off, you can sponge out all the water👍
Mate, thank you so much for the video, I found a button stuck in there!! How that got there who knows!! But I’m back up and going.. you saved me a call out charge at a time when nobody wants to spend money.. thanks again 👍👍👍

Thanks! I found a small piece of glass (from a broken wine glass from months ago) lodged in the impeller. I wish I knew how it got pass both filter elements.
I lost this white piece. My question is, does it work without problem if this part (drain pump cover) is not there? I get an error E24 and sometimes E25, and there is nothing wrong with the pump and it moves smoothly.
Can someone tell me what is the piece above this filter (the two things sticking out). I have pushed it by mistake inside and water leaked out under the dishwasher. Now I can not pull back whatever that cover was and I can also see there are some electrical cables inside there. Any advice on what I should do? Thanks.

So, the fix is what? Just ensure that white rotor moves and is clean? I did that and it's still clogging. Did you clean the; filter, hose, plastic rotors housed throughout the machine?
I pulled my 2 plugs and used the wet/dry vacuum to suck out all the food particles stuck inside then I pulled up the round plunger and the and the white blades were spinning again, took 5 minutes total.
You could need a new pump that's what I needed and yes you can check just Starr a cycle for a few min then hold the start button it will blink one min after that close and it should drain the water. Your video does not answer the question as to why it won't drain just a demo of how to remove the drain cover? I have a brand new machine just installed, nothing in the the drain area, clean water but nothing is draining out at all? Faulty machine?
Another common problem with these Bosch drain pumps are that the impeller over time slides forward on the shaft and then gets stuck on the white clip. All you need to do is just push the impeller back further onto the shaft. 🙃

I'd say you have a clogged airgap up near the sink
Scottthefixitguy I have the same situation. And i have no air gap. So what do i do?

Mine turns just fine but I still keep getting the E24.
What is the name of this part?
Drain impeller cover👍
my impeller was moving freely. Does that mean there's another problem? And how do I test after I do this fix without running a full cycle?
You could need a new pump that's what I needed and yes you can check just Starr a cycle for a few min then hold the start button it will blink one min after that close and it should drain the water. If your impeller spins freely and it still won't drain you probably need a new one or a clog down the line.
Hi. Is it normal for water to remain at the bottom of that drain compartment, I'm seeing more than in inch of water up to the white drain pump cover (not up to the lever, just below the prong thingy). Thanks.
That is normal. It leaves water in there at the end of each cycle to keep the seals from drying out.
What is a Bosch DW error code e61-02??
Ok, but what does this do? I pulled put that panel but the water still won't drain. The impeller moves. But how do I remove debris? The little pool of water is still there.
There should always be a small pool of water below the filter screen.
I had a hard time seeing how the small impeller cover went back in. I used a wet/dry vac to suck out all the water and set my phone flashlight on the top rack shining down to the impeller. The video I'm sharing shows the correct position of the cover. It slid in place after a bit of fiddling, but used a butter knife to click it.

I would check the drain hose that connects to the garbage disposer.
I think they forgot to knock out the plastic plug inside the disposal drain tube.
Useless
Another common problem with these Bosch drain pumps are that the impeller over time slides forward on the shaft and then gets stuck on the white clip. All you need to do is just push the impeller back further onto the shaft. 🙃
That is good to know,
