Matey!!!! What….a…hero!!!!! Our issue turned out to be that little white plastic thing in the bottom of the dishwasher!!! I can’t thank you enough!!! Legend doesn’t quite fit!! Thank you a million times over
This video taught me how to remove the white plastic cover for the drain pump using a teaspoon so I could check the impeller. A piece of glass was stuck in the impeller assembly, preventing it from spinning freely. Once I removed the piece of glass and made sure the impeller was spinning freely, the dishwasher was able to run through its cleaning cycle. Thank you SO MUCH for your informative video. Now I'm going to be the hero when my wife gets home!
You absolute legend! I found a chicken bone where the outlet meets the U-bend and fixed the dishwasher. This is the most practical thing I have ever managed. I've earned my father's day mug. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your very clear tutorial on cleaning the water filter. At 69 years of age it’s nice to know that I can still fix my own problems.
My bosch dishwasher wouldn't drain. Followed the steps above which were super helpful and easy to follow...still not draining. I found the original manual and followed the reset instructions and bingo......she's fixed !!!! Tks so much for your very easy to follow video.
Dude! Our dishwasher stopped today. Got the E24 error. Had no idea what to do. Watched your video and followed your advice and IT WORKS NOW! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and the very thorough and easy to follow video! You just saved us a service call and who knows what else. Thanks again!
You are a peach! Finally, someone could explain how to get that little white part off the drain area. Cleared a TON of nasty hair and ... whatever, and now the machine is running like a dream! Thank you! :D
Thank you so much for this. I just saved over $300 fixing mine. I also pulled the machine out and pulled out the drainage pipe, then used a vacuum to suck out the blockage after undoing it from the sink. Women can do anything.
This was great ! I had no idea how much force to use with the spoon or what to look for . Turned out to be some grape stalks. No idea how they were there but it just shows how easy it is to block the filter !
Worked like a charm! Followed your directions and problem solved. The culprit was a toothpick in the impeller. Easy fix, even for a non-handy person! Thanks kindly from Toronto
THANK YOU!! Best explanation of the 4 versions I've just watched. Looks like its draining again....was a variation on the corn kernal, a sunflower seed! Many thanks, I was tearing my hair out with the build up on the bench.
Helpful vid, thanks! Worth pointing out that the white plastic gaurd piece in front of the impeller must click back in properly. It looks like it just rests in the groove, but if you leave it like that then it'll float up, then get sucked in during the drain program and the motor will make strange noises. Worse still, it tends to sink back into the groove so you don't even know it's not properly clicked in and might just assume your motor is knackered!
Thanks for this! The spot where the flexible drain tube rejoined the sink drain was clogged with a eggberg of tiny eggshells. My tip that has fixed me two dishwashers: get a big plastic bin for the dishwasher to drain into. This let me determine that the flexi hose was fine.
Thank you! I started taking out the drain pump before watching your video but then I checked the impeller and there was a piece of plastic blocking it. The turkey baster works like a charm.

Thanks for this, well put together and very detailed. Turned out to the be the hose for me, there was a kink in the drainage hose blocking flow. I had to go through all the steps to discover the issue but now have a very clean and working dishwasher.
Thanks for the clear video! My mrs isn’t thrilled with the state of her tooth brush but she’s well happy that the dishwasher is working again. Swings and roundabouts I guess.
Thx! Your video did the trick. Fixed the dishwasher at work, there was a foil wrapper like the ones on small chocolates, 3 coffee beans and a pile of chicken schrapnel blocking the intake to the chopper impeller.
Whoever set up my dishwasher up placed the tubing together so tight, for the life of me, I can't take it apart and the connector is high up into the sink it is almost impossible to get to. I can bet plumbers love this set up. I was able to clean out some stuff in the dishwasher but I just don't think there was enough stuff to cause a problem. The dishwasher is only 3 years old. She has been running okay for the last hour so let's see what happens. Thanks for the video

What if there is a blockage in the grey waste water hose from the back of the washer.
Squeeze it and run lots of empty dishwasher programmes to try to clear it. Maybe try a coat hanger wire inside up and down to try to clear any gunge
