I just subscribed to your channel about a week ago, and so far I am liking your objective and you say it as it is no nonsense reviews. Though I am still rocking my Galaxy S21, if I was looking to upgrade to another phone the S23 FE, would be a great option, though I wish Samsung would have gone with the SD 8 Gen 1 plus chipset!! Anyway, keep up the great work, I always enjoy watching your informative videos!!

Got the A54 for $360 and I absolutely love it for the price. And that was my budget, I couldn't stretch ny budget to $600 from $360. So I see this phone as an absolute win.
Should've picked up the Google Pixel 7a instead or waited for the 8a. You get more value for the money with the 7a and a more premium, reliable software experience.
@@DeadofWinter321 Samsung is nearly as good as Google on speed of updates. That being said, Google's Pixel 8 range software has been plagued with bugs since release and no timeframe on when they'll get fixed. As for which skin is better, that's all subjective...

I've been using A53 for nearly a year, surprisingly love it tho I wouldn't use this game for continuous gaming session.

I could definitely see this phone lasting for a few years. I've been on the same midrange Galaxy with a Snapdragon 750g for 3 years and it's still serving me well. I don't want to give up my expandable storage and headphone jack.

Still rocking my A75 5g. I have been very happy with this phone since 2020
No sense changing every year. I gifted my year-old S20 Ultra to my best friend a couple months after I got the S22 Ultra.
I compared both side by side and they feel identical in response and overall speed. Even the cameras have minimal differences in quality!
The biggest differences are seen in synthetic benchmark scores, but day to day, they feel like the same phone.
Never used so cards, these days phones get a lot of storage but you can use them buy adapter or a hard drive or ssd
Still rocking the S20 FE. Things still running like a champ. But been looking to refresh it. Didn't even know the S23 FE was out. You were the reason I got the S20 FE, and my Samsung Buds2 Pro (which I scored on FB Market place for $70 🔥) Thanks again for your videos. They're real honest reviews from a super down to Earth dude. Much respect and much love to White Shoes !
Edit: to any one looking to get an S20 FE as a budget phone I highly recommend it. This thing still does everything I need it to do!

I'm amazed yours still works. Lots of people (myself included) reported the back plastic literally fell off. I still use mine and am replacing it soon, but I can't take my case off without the back and camera falling out and it's so laggy compared to any flagship I've had.

@tishcooper6353 same bro my s20 fe back is comin off had to change the screen cuz it randomly froze on me fingerprint sensor and charging port don't wrk no more. It was a SOLID phone while it lasted but now its time to upgrade. Plus it's loosin software support anyway
Damn, I had mine in a case since day one. My s20fe still looks like I just took it out the box. Everything still works perfectly.
I love how honest you are with these reviews man! Not just showing of the 'best device' etc. But what is actually good for the everyday, the reasons why. To say that the fe is actually good and you can use the rest on a smartwatch is a true review!!!!!!

FEs are the truth, thanks Floss. Upgarded to a S20FE once my A50 gave out and and I've had no problems with it at all.
I use an S20 FE too, but honestly this one has to be THE WORST FE phone ever. The Exynos 2200 throttles EVEN with the huge ass vapour cooling chamber.
And the bezels..... this is A54 with the camera set up of the S23 and Exynos 2200. But at least the A54 has the SD card slot .....

For anyone not taking the Ultra but want a Samsung phone, this is it. On par with the plus and imo above the regular S23 which is more expensive. I'm buying this as a gift, especially after this review.
And another super cool thing for those of us in Europe who aren't in the market for the Ultra; these FEs come with the frickin Snapdragon, whereas the regular and the plus versions come with the damn Exynos!
I'm feeling the phone Floss definitely. The 20FE is still one of my favs though (expandable memory). It has Dex, wireless Dex, and wireless reverse powershare.

So glad to see a mainstream TH-camr giving this great phone some love. I picked up the 23 fe and couldn't be happier with it. I love the fe line of phones. I've had the 20 fe the 21 fe and now the 23 fe. The fe lineup is definitely the best bang for your buck in the market.
Can you please share if you've had any heating issues with the phone while gaming, etc? Also do you get decent screen ok n time? I don't game but run gps a fair amount on my Pixel 6a and can't stand it. Trying to decide between this and a OnePlus 10t. Thanks!
@bjperez9076 Haven't had any issues with the phone whatsoever. I don't game with the phone but I use it as my work phone. We use it to scan inventory, bin products to their respective homes, clock in and out amongst other things. I usually have about 4-6 hours a day of screen on time and I've never had the battery die. Plus if you pickup a 25W fast charger it will recharge the phone from 50-100% in thirty minutes. I bought a Belkin fast charger for $15. Anyways it's been a great phone I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great review as always Floss. After watching several reviews, I found yours to be the most useful as always and ended up buying this phone last week. Very happy with my purchase!
Something to add with the S23 FE and base S23 128gb models is that they dont have the new UFS 4.0 storage format like the 23+ and Ultra. Day to day use is somewhat noticeable with file and video transfers speeeds and app loading let alone actually using hardware via OTG. Also with 4.0 you have more efficient battery use per charge due to heavy drains from running 5G network.
The Fe is priced too high to buy it over the standard S23.
@@ILoveGrilledCheesemost retailers in my country arent even bothering with the 23FE. And it would be around 800usd to get one here. So i just picked up a S22U for 750
@@bgcno2 Samsung was running a great promotion in my country, like 10% discount from buying in their app, plus 25% if you pick the Buds FE and a free storage upgrade, I paid 440 USD for the 256Gb version and 2 sets of Galaxy buds FE.

As a S21 FE user, I love the FE series. It's the sweet spot between upper midrange phone and flagship.
Bro can u pls talk about heating and battery drainage. My both are too bad. the device heats up a lot while just scroling through instagram. and the batery drain is too worse compared to the 4500 mah. anyone with the s21 experience pls respond.
Mine was never that bad bro. The only battery drainage I have is from 5% to 1%. Maybe you have a faulty unit. In terms of heating issues, it helped that I used Bixby routines so that 120hz is only enabled for certain apps.
Best thing about s21fe is how light it is

My s21 fe still works like a champ. I don't have any overheating issues
I got the S23 Ultra so I'm not interested in this, but I came from the S20 FE 5G and that thing was a beast. This is dope. They killed this phone.
I have an S21 FE which I love. It is a beast too. This phone does not seem like it would be an upgrade.

Ty Floss for recommending this phone. I quit buying flagship phones a few years ago when i realized i didnt need the latest and greatest and wasnt even using the full potential of the phones i was buying. Last few years I have went with mid-range devices as it allows me to change up devices more frequently and save money with pretty much 0 loss in performance. Imo too many people judge phones based on spec sheets and have absolutely no idea what the phones actual performance level is. TH-camrs have been telling us for years that cheap phones have been getting better and better and closer to flagship performance. Buying older used flagships is still worthwhile, but then you factor in support and the new mid-range gets longer support for those who keep the same device for a few years. I picked this thing up for, wait for it, $49 on sale at Metro. Basically FREE. $550 OFF. Crazy great deal for near flagship performance. People need to stop believing hype over actual experience.

I brought my S21FE in olive green after a few months it came out over a year ago like the color of the s23 FE to me most of the galaxys have the same features I'm not changing my galaxy anytime soon

Great review Flossy. I have the original S20FE 5G with Snapdragon 865 and the phone still works great, even though I also own the S23 Ultra. I got mine £100 cheaper back in 2020 on Black Friday deal, here in the UK. The new S23FE would be great, but there are some minor issues. Most markets outside US will get the Exynos 2200, not the Snapdragon 8 gen 1! Most users may not care what processor is under the hood. Next issue is the S23FE is not available in the UK until December! That is close to the release date of the S24 series and there will be discounts on the S23 series already. Android 14, One UI 6 is available on all S23 series phones, so as soon as the S23FE comes out, it will either be running the latest UI out of the box, or it update on first start up, making installation. I agree that the S23FE is a better deal compared to the S23+. Keep up the entertaining reviews. 👍🏾
I got the original fe I'm definitely getting that one because I wanted a new gallery without paying over a thousand dollars so that's a great phone for me

The only complaint I have on this is the bezels, but when I put on a case it was reduced in half, so it was fine afterall. Performance is good for the price, cameras are great! Truely the best midrange-entry level flagship.
How is the battery and screen on time?

I got it for $400 after trade-in for my a54. It's a beast. I got the Tangerine 🍊 color. Beautiful.
Why did you trade in the a54 for this since that was just released as well?
@@lenacheney The a54 exynos chip is better than the a53 but not as good as the snapdragon 8gen 1. The S23 fe has way better performance. The battery performance on the S23 fe is better than the a54, and the cameras are better. I traded in my a53 for the a54. I got $250 for the a53 and paid $199 out of pocket for the a54. I decided to upgrade to the S23 fe. I got $250 for the a54 which I only paid $199 for so I actually got an extra $50 for the a54. I ended up getting the 256GB variant S23 fe for $400. The tangerine color is beautiful 😍. I don't get my phone through my carrier. I buy them directly from the manufacturer. Unlocked.
A54 is stilll consider a budget phone even though its fast its not 30 percent enough to beat S23 fe midrange true flagship phone.@@lenacheney

I had the S21 fe and started out awesome. I came from the blue g90 pro( best purple phone) so it was a big upgrade. The more I used the Samsung I had a ton of issues. I eventually switched to the Google Pixel 7. I miss my Samsung sometimes

What were your issues? Usually people have a ton of issues with pixels for example overheating,freezing,bad battery, and mediocre biometrics
I got 21FE new, still using it now and have had zero issues except battery life seems to be getting worse. I just ordered this 23FE mint green.

Great phone review. Personally I still like my a52 and still works great for me. Although it might change in the next year or two when it runs out of security patches and then upgrade to the equivalent fe phone.

Thank you for this video!!! I just got this phone yesterday and I'm so lost... I came here for help.. I had the Google pixel 4 ( i know i know ).. it was in perfectcondition still but the battery was completely shot out and i was tired of Xfinity. I ended up getting the phone and new service through metro for $162 total. They didnt have any cases though so im handling it with kid gloves..ordered one on Amazon and should be here today...thank you for this review. I think I'm too old for all this fancy stuff though 😂 once I get the case maybe I'll feel more comfortable playing around with it some.

I've played with this one at Best Buy for a bit too... I'm torn here. Love the review as always fam. I've also played with the new Motorola Razr (the less expensive one with the bar screen), and I'm tempted by that too, especially given the price. Decisions decisions. I need help (~‾▿‾)~

You did an amazing effort reviewing this phone. I thought it was gonna be a drag given the length of the video but I am pleasantly surprised by the content summary you gave made. The way you dissed the haters made me laugh and it brought a huge element of fun to the video.
The only missing part would be a comparison with the Exynos 220 variant and comparison with the S22 series. But, that's just me (and as of this writing there are no videos available on this matter).
I am an owner of a S21 FE with Exynos 2100 and I am quite happy with the device and assume the S23 FE will be way better,
