Welcome aboard @@KZ-yu4jz and thanks for your support and kind words
Agreed!
Totally agree ! That was priceless
The fact that you split the video right at the 10 minute mark to offer the blue or red pill is an underrated detail. GG sir
Thank you sir, I’m glad some people appreciate those small nuggets
This was an absolute masterclass! The denoise performance and generation loss resistance are HUGE reasons to shoot pro-ress despite having to bring an SSD! The prores noise is actually super organic looking and almost aesthetically pleasing, especially when compared to the h.265 noise.
Totally agree, ProRes is by far more superior, and honestly, external media now has gotten way cheaper than before, and let’s face it, we are filmmakers and we are used to rigging our cameras
Wow 😳 as a professional photographer im super surprised how good this is. I will pay to be able have that kind of explanation for any problem I’m trying to understand. Thank you very much for this was superb
Wow, thank you so much for such kind words. Would really appreciate if you can share this content with everyone, would really mean a lot to me and help the channel. Thanks again

What an excellent explainer! The demonstrations regarding denoise performance and generation loss were exceptional - you made the difference super clear. A big thanks for running through the different ProRes versions as well; I was having a hard time nailing down the exact level of diminishing returns I'd be comfortable with, but being able to see them cycled through was very enlightening. Thanks you!

excellent information, precise, informative and definitively guides you to the right choice of CoDec for your specific use! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
What a wonderful video! You nailed it. Very clear, logical, correct and well-paced. I have been shooting in 422 LT but will definitely choose 422 for the critical stuff. Editing in FCP on Apple Silicon is such a pleasure. Great job!
Thank you so much for watching and glad you're already shooting in LT. 422 would be for more commercial quality maybe
You are excellence at conveying information! Great content. Please make more! :-)
Thank you! Will do!

I never thought prores is useful for content creator. Now it makes GH6 internal prores feature a lot more valueable.
no wonder why ProRes is the industry standard
Wow such an amazingly clear Video. Thanks for the educational & graphical explanations!!! 🎉

Incredibly informative, I love videos like these.

Thank you so much for the compliments, happy you liked it
Best Explanation Ever......Thanks Bro For Your Great Efforts ♥
You are most welcome
WOW! Thank you so much. I have just been to school. You just answered all my questions on formats. I have a TH-cam channel and have been experimenting with formats. I am settled on 422HQ for my BlackMagic app. Then I use my IPhone camera app on 265 for other things like my talking head videos where I don't need that much detail. Hell, I don't want to scare my audience that much. I am making this the year of as much absolute quality as possible.
people use these weird apps, filmic pro garbage that is now subscription lmao, ive used MoviePro from the filmic times and it is a complete bomb, not sure about black majic though
This was an excellent video with superb research and execution. ❤ well done ✅
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
Finally, I learned! Thank you so much,
wow!!!!!!Thank you very much for this amazing video. Probably will have to watch that one again, and again to fully keep its content in my i Phone filmmaking learning curve.
Glad you enjoyed it!
First time watching your video, but I am convinced by your explaination 👌
Thanks and welcome
Great job. Very informative and helpful.
Really glad you liked it, thanks for watching
Always the best pro content 🤝🏼
Thanks! happy you liked it
Thank you for this in depth explanation! Now I can make a well informed decision what to use. Thank you for this great video!
I’m so glad I watched your video. I originally assumed that h265 would only be affecting shots where there is a lot more movement for the compression to handle and no finer detail in more static shots would be affected. I was happy with the image for the iPhone 15 pro max but still thought it was plain to see it was shot with a mobile phone. On the last shoot after watching your video I used ProRes 422 and tbh the difference is plain to see. The image is much more organic. It looks close to a modern camera and a lot less digital and processed. Thanks for taking your time to create this detailed video.
Yeah H265 is a sort of temporal type of compression, so static areas will be affected more. But also moving areas with solids in their motion blur. Really happy the video helped
Thanks for watching
@@THEDPJOURNEY it sure did. I think had the balckmagic allow for w bit more than 50 mbps in h265 it might look a bit better. For my use recording ProRes 422 internally is good enough.
Best explanation of codec system so far, I understood every part of the video
Wow! Well explained 👏👏👏 Subscribed.
Thank you so much, welcome aboard
Tremendous educational content and amazing graphics! Very impressive and very well executed! Bravo 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words and compliments
I have tried to understand ProRes for the last couple of months and this video finally did it!
