I feel like that recipe works well for two reasons -- (1) folks who play this game either respond well to pressure, or they burn out and become iron smurfs, and (2) you kinda gotta have a forceful personality for FPS players to take you seriously.
Noticing a lot of comments asking “can I do X instead? Aim training is boring” The Voltaic x WHJ Aimlabs playlist is 30 minutes long. That’s it. In the wise words of the famous bodybuilder Ronny Coleman: “everyone wants to be strong, but ain’t nobody wanna lift no heavy ass weight”. If you can’t commit 30 minutes to some boredom to get good, then maybe you don’t want to get good that much.
Just asking, if I am below gold and wants to improve faster, does doing the aimlab and gold routine at the same time help ? Or should I put some more time in deathmatch?
This is one of those tips i wish i had when i started playing valorant 3 years ago. The strats the timings the brain none of it matters if you just plain miss because at the end of the day your enemy has to die. Asc 2 peak on my push to immo this season wooj love all the content you produce it makes me so happy to see so many valorant players invested in learning wish i had you when i was bronze. Keep up the great work Mr.Banana.
11:13 these are my favorite woohoojin moment, they are actually better than the times when I get a white piece in my bowl of cereals from lucky charms, I upvote a compilation of this!
It just feels amazing hitting one taps on people regardless of bad game sense. Yesterday i wide swung into 2 people and headtapped them both faster than they could each hit 2 boddytaps on me. I think im gonna continue wide swing into multiple enemies and not isolate 1v1s 😳😳😳
Thank you brave soul for asking about the aimlabs playlist. I was not aware of it either due to time away from Valorant for a few acts. Your timeout will be remembered.
If you have two VODs and in one VOD you hit shots, and the other you don't, then you need practice. Practice builds consistency. Consistency carries you through drops in confidence, distractions, disadvantaged fights, and even chronic health issues. My aim used to go from Silver to Immortal throughout the day. I practiced and figured out what I needed to be more consistently while having vertigo and I've narrowed that gap significantly. I can't make up for every issue vertigo causes me, but if I can get consistent enough then even with my debuff I'm still able to win. With this, I hit Masters in 4 different games and am currently D3 in Val despite adding additional debuffs. PRACTICE MORE, DO IT.
Honestly watching woohoojin and queing up deathmatch with his advice has helped so much for me. It is worth training if you're looking to get better. Also make sure your sens is at a reasonable edpi.
About 2 days ago I decided to really do aim training I am brand new to valorant and when I say brand new I have only been playing for a month and this is my first FPS game so I am doing something simple doing crosshair placement and precision when shooting ngl has helped me a lot I can get 30 on ez bots and high score on medium is 18 average is 10
I'm also someone whos been neglecting his mechs and now that im G3 close to Plat I can definitely feel it. Can still have a +DD from shooting people from behind but I've been convinced to start aim training again.
Recently I've been focusing on strat so much, I didn't realise my aim was deteriorating I was losing the easiest gun fights that I could've won weeks ago, but now I'm missing every single shot I had a game where we both played phoenix. ironically, both of us are doing the same thing (meaning we have the same mind) but he keeps out aiming me. He's literally carrying the team with his aim and out fragging everyone + he knows my strat as well as I know his. That's when I realised, I needed my aim back. And now woohoojin posted this and it's a wake up call for me to start aim training
Hey woohoojin I've been trying out your Deadzoning and movement tips plus aim routine, can u please make another vid on more practical usage of deadzoning like in matches and when to use it for us lower elo players?
feel the same, sometimes insecurity loses my gunfights because i dont know how to aproach it, would love a full dm explaning how we should take each fight
I only started it recently but I have been practicing my aim everyday, and this motivated me to put even more effort into every session of practice. Thank you Banana Man.
I have a goal to play the Woohoojin voltaic playlist every day. I used to play it every day for a month and then I stopped. Back at it again. Streak resets if I miss a day.
I started applying the one drill where you overaim and use movement to place ur crosshair. Now i win almost every death match using only sheriff. I guess i would always practice it but i never really applied it.
This vid just hit home as controller main: yesterday just played a match on Bind so bad that the enemy neon just completely destroyed me using only shotguns. Didn't matter what I did, could'nt even land anything. I guess I need to work my aim and take notes from this vod
I did the routine for a few weeks when it came out and I don’t know why I stopped it, but now I’ve reached higher ranks and am starting to see an aim diff between me and high ascendants and ex immortals, so I started to aim train again, thank you
I used to play Kovaak's 0.5 - 3 hours a day 3 years ago. I just enjoyed aim training and I reached 400+ hrs without noticing lmao. Now I'm in college and have less time, but from those effects of aim trainers, I can still play Widow in OW at Master - Grandmaster without trying too hard. In Valorant, It is more strategic, so my problem is the other way around(My Brain smol). Even from that, I'm still convinced that no matter how big ur brain is, you can't make the play ur brain wants if you can't even click on head in the first place.
you rly answered all my questions like fr everytime i play ranked i play controller or initiator and command my duelist that has good aim to do as i plan and wish to get someone who has a good aim so i be the planner and he does it and never got past silver and i stopped playing duelist tho because i was losing every aim duel even tho i planned it and i was on a good angle and good spot at a good time i guess but aim train idk i just dont know how i watched many aim guides and got confused abt what aim routine should i do so i would literally love to get an aim routine from you specially for me and i promise to follow everything you say
Thank you for saying this. Too many players constantly maintain that aim training or practicing aim doesn't matter which never made sense to me. W COACH
Hello! Oh no, you did convince me. I thought that aim doesn't matter, and I thought that you are approving that, and I was wrong, thank you for leading me out of this mistake, but now I'm 8 months in aim train, and I'm not even good at aiming and shooting. Now I can see that, my aim is not even acceptable in my rank. I think that I need at least 1 more year to achieve a level of aiming good enough to have any chance in fight. This video didn't only convince me to train my aim, but did show me how to achieve anything in life, no by forcing yourself and doing all work in short time to get your gratification fast, but by hard, slow work, small, steady, consistent steps. I wish that coach banana Woohoojin did show up earlier in my life, but I'm grateful that he did at any point of it, thank you Woohoojin.
I don't need a video from a talking banana to make me convinced to start aim training i was already convinced when a talking banana mentioned aim training
Honestly the biggest problem I see with people in my elo (Gold/Plat) is not aiming before shooting. People aim and shoot at the same time so by the time they're close to their head (if they even get that chance), they're completely inaccurate spraying and praying. I have a clip last week of a kayo wiffing 5 shots on me while I slowly make sure my crosshair is on his head and I 1 tap him. Doesn't matter how good your aim is if you don't do it before you shoot.
btw flicking at your appointment isn't what I mean when I say aiming. I mean actually taking the time to make sure your crosshair is in a good position BEFORE taking your first shot
Average valorant player right here watches a video, then regurgitates it and claims it’s his own genius 😂 like what happened with sen, one person says sen doesn’t have strats and then everyone starts acting like Einstein as if it were their own thought. Ultra cringe
At what point(or rank) would you say we have "good enough" aim and focus purely on strategy and gamesense? Not saying neglecting practice of course, but I think you get what I mean
FINALLY. This really broadened my view about aim. I was under the impression that aim was useless for the longest time since I realised that humans in general are mechanically inconsistent. But I neglected it for way too long if im being honest
hey hooj, do you think its fine if I use your aim lab aim routine to warmup except i only do 1 of each task? i feel like i perform worse when i use deathmatch and the range to warmup because i usually get pissed when i play deathmatch
Need tips if its possible to rank up playing once a week, with no aim training during week. I peaked diamond 1 just before my daughter was born then had pretty much a year off, currently gold 3 starting to shake the rust off now I'm playing a bit more often, I don't expect to hit immortal but high diamond I feel is possible
swr i climbed from iron to plat by mainly focusing on aim lol, now in asc almost none of my focus goes into my raw aim when trying to improve but I still practice it

i got to diamon with a 8% of hs... and now am really noticing how am losing to no brain players when i do the right read... the banana is right and i'll start the aim training just to see how good i can get
my k/d is 1.4-1.5 (in recent matches it was 2 or more ). I am stuck in bronze . I play support since most people just insta-lock. And still be the top fragger .now my actual problem is the lobbies I get . My teammate are mostly people who dont have gamesense or keep throwing the game for small things . From my gameplay I can say I at least deserve gold 1 or silver 3 .
Back in csgo I would be able to practice in workshop maps doing bots for 30-an hour but valorant aim training feels super scuffed to me. Idk what it is

Woohoojin has helped me get from iron 3 to plastic 3, thank you woohoojin. Without you I would probably go pro thank you so much.
