The always blame yourself is spot on. I think this is the most efficient way to actually get to a high elo player type of mentality and applicable to any other area with uncontrollable variables in which you want to improve FAST
@@tumo07 Two different types of blaming, seems like a linguistic problem really. First one is focusing only on what you can control, i.e. what you yourself could have done better, always. The second one is not thinking of losses and such with a negative mentality, and keeping a positive overall attitude and self-talk, staying productive and not "blaming yourself" rather...
I feel like all of this is true for someone who is past immortal too. All of this just comes down to the same thing, personal growth. If you want to be a better player, you have to grow as player and adopt the right habits and mentality. Great video, I love the frame you adopt throughout it! Best vid so far!
That's one of the best guides I've seen so far. I am Immortal myself and the first 3minutes is straight from my heart and something I say a lot to lower ranked players whenever they ask for advice. Even tho this is purely correct for ranked it can be a bad habit if you want to step a move further and play in a real team. I realize that I dont really know how to properly communicate with my Team like I should, because I'm used to not rely on them. But again this isn't ranked and the advice is super useful for any rank especially low ranks. I wish you the best man keep going!
It took me forever to reach immortal and now that I look back this video states basically everything I had to do to reach immortal. Constantly think about your own improvement and mistakes rather than others. The calmness and composure during the round or clutches is absolutely crucial and is the reason why me and many others are able to do outplays or grasp difficult situations and use everything to clutch up.
For anyone using the "I always get smurfs in my game" excuse, well if you can't beat one or two of them in your current rank how do you expect to beat a whole team of them when you actually reach their level of play?
@@chrisplayz6449 No I don't expect a silver to beat an immortal, but they should be in the mindset that they're supposed to be or get good enough to beat that guy
I've gotten a lot of clutches and for those wondering, I want to break it down here: 1. If your location is not already known, keep it that way. The best thing you can have in a clutch is the element of surprise where the enemy has to guess where you are, this makes it likely for them to get more paranoid about the possibilities and start spreasing out to cover ground, giving you opportunities for 1v1s Which brings me to point 2, seek out 1v1s You see all these multikills and think they're so cool but let me tell you that killing 3 people that are on your screen all at once is unrealistic and you're only seeing 5% of those scenarious because in the other 95% of them you will die instantly. Think of a clutch situation as putting the enemies into a queue to 1v1 you and take 1 fight at a time, this makes the clutch fair for you and you deny the opponents their advantage which is their numbers. 3. Be aggressive Its true that you should take your time when you're clutching so you can seek out the 1v1s, but most players will not split up far enough for you to take multiple 1v1s over a reasonable amount of time, if they're all pushing you then you need to look aggressively for isolated fights so you can take them down one by one, you can for example stand behind inpenetrable cover and take small peeks out to kill one at a time as they're approaching. If you let them swarm you, you're going to die. 4. Look for advantages if you're an attacker, getting the spike down is a huge advantage in a clutch because you put additional pressure on the opponent that they have to deal with. if they're trying to defuse they are also forced to put away their gun and reveal their location which adds to the pressure for them and information for you Other advantages can be tapping spike to bait out a response from the opponents or using the noise that was made when the rest of your team went down to get into a good position to start the clutch where you already have easy kills. Good luck, clutch kings!
@@BreadMcBreadFace They don't. Aggression doesn't just mean W key. It means you're trying to take space and players away from the enemy. If you know how to play you can do both of these at once. Also, literally look at the man's comment, "Its true that you should take your time... BUT," you won't always have perfect opportunities to do so especially as you climb and people play smarter/more grouped up. If you let your enemies get set up to swing and push you, you're just going to get 1 max and die. Aggression in this case (again literally described by him, I'm just restating it), is jiggling the angle taking a shot, hoping you'll get a kill to reduce the swarm. You can get the first kill while unnoticed, and though you'll have the rest of the team to deal with afterwards, it just became several times easier. A 1v4 is preferrable to a 1v5 and so on. I don't know the actual usage of this word for Val but I would probably call this a microaggression, and if you don't have any of it you'll never find yourself winning any clutches.
Just the fact that you made aim the last section of this vid makes it the greatest tips vid I've seen so far. There is just too much bsing about aim all the time and warming up, and people seem to completely forget about any kind of gamesense or frankly anything else. Also 80% of that applies to ANY game which is even better
As an ex inmortal on NA servers and LAN servers, the best thing I can recommend you is: YOU HAVE TO PLAY A LOT OF HOURS. (around 8-10 rankeds a day) You have to improve your game every day. Movement, mental, comms . Doing that, depending on your level and being consistent you will reach inm in the range of 2 to 5 months. If you can’t be inmortal in 5 months you aren’t even getting a 45% win rate!
I've found that being the first person in a game to say "my bad guys, I could have done ___ better" or something like that really helps to open them up to actually discussing how to work together the next round.
One of the good Videos I have seen about Valorant! Only one think I would add and thats agend look in phase… I know so many people, even in my rank( immo2) that get tiltet and upset when samone is looking their agend! Don’t be that guy and always have options and every map at best with every role!!! This makes you confident no matter what happens and u can have a bad day but the linup u practice wont miss because of bad aim. Like this you are always usefull and gain so much gamesense you at lookingat agend guides
I started playing valorant as my first fps game 2 months ago and didn't know anything but after learning what I had to do I was able to get G3 and it doesn't feel impossible to aim for a higher rank the best tips I received were to have an aim routine, good movement and peeking on top of actually warming up before comp
I’m a brain player. I try to play my role as much as I can. It doesn’t translate to wins. Communication is not there, game knowledge is not there, and even the desire to be cohesive isn’t there. If you’re playing controller, you should smoke. If you’re on senti, you should try to anchor. But focusing on “playing your role” at the expense of your performance does not work in ranked. The “I just won from a 2-10 half” tip is honestly one of the best tips I’ve ever heard.
I'm gold 3 and I warmed up a couple days ago only to see an immortal from last episode in my lobby. Also I was playing astra for the second time ever. I top fragged and we almost won, but just the fact that I was able to compete against a decent team with a couple cracked players boosted my mental a lot. One thing I've been trying to get into rather than Aimlab is warming up in the range with the actual guns I'll be using in game. Been using the classic a lot because I'm terrible with it and have always relied on the ghost to carry me through pistol rounds. Learning the time between shots with it while remaining accurate has helped a lot. Also the sheriff, a gun I see a lot of people using but once again I was always buying ghost for a long time of playing. I'm still not very good with it, but will keep at it. Another thing like you said is firing two bullets, I try to have a majority of my range time doing that so that it's ingrained in my mind. Still in comp I will spray sometimes, but that is my last resort. Back when I was in bronze I used to do the range often and I was getting better, but somewhere along the line I just started playing aimlab which is good for warming up, but not so much ingame fundamentals. Hopefully now that I'm back on the range grind I will reach plat.
I was always able to reach a high rank in most games I've played through solo queue, however valorant has been one of the hardest games to climb as a solo for me. I find myself just leaving the game for something less BS, but every other shooter feels so dog sh*t right now.
The part about always blaming yourself i can attest to. Back when i used to play overwatch i adopted this mentality... sort of. Its not that i always blamed myself but at least considered what i could have done better, even the smallest and seemingly insignificant details. I try not to flame teammates for being trash at least on team chat but the bottom frag usually ends up ends up being toxic af and bring be down as well
i had a game where ppl play with a valorant tracker and they saw me have 0W 10L, (i was actually in a 12 loose streak lol) and they were making fun of me and spaming "can we dodge please" "please sage lock in LOL" i won multiple clutch and important round and we loose because the only comms i have was just trashtalking and them making fun of my loose streak
The game doesn't even have replays so there's nothing to reflect on, nor will I be able to see how does enemy rotate, or how I get insta tapped during a slide.
Tbh, the only thing that makes me really wanted to rank up is not because to brag or anything. It's because I want to join a team/org. Most teams required at least immortal to join, if you're diamond heck maybe even ascendant. You're instantly got rejected. I used to stuck in Plat in about a year, but when I play much less and perform more. I managed to rank up to Diamond but sadly I stuck in there. Maybe I should party more or something. Or add more strats to my gameplay
i may be a gold player but additionally for clutches, dont think of it as 1 v 4 for example, think of it as 4 seperate 1v1s then itll be less stressful. really good guide tho cuz i needa get out of gold
I absolutly changed my perspective after i started think about the game in a different sense and getting morr consistent i think my aim is decent gamesense is very good only thing thats holding me back from like dia/asc mental
After losing a Valorant game because of my teammates, I asked my father who leads and manages teams a question along the lines of: "What do you do when you try your best as a leader of a team, but your co-workers screw up." He said: *Take accountability for the result, and ask yourself what you could have done differently. You will always think of something.* You're working together with real people in this game. Learn from your mistakes, and you just might use it in life.
lol imma have to still the 2-10 comeback card. Also if you’ve never hit immo before, your mmr is prob horse. You NEED winstreaks (you’re gonna be getting +14-18 per win and - 18-23 per loss. Do not be result oriented on just a couple of games. You have to be ready to play a lot in order to get that green carpet to rank up heavily. Obv focus on fundamentals and learning tho (this tip is more for the mental side of ranking up)
I've been playing for a while but I never really grind too much on my main account (It's actually cursed, if anyone is actually curious I can give a lengthy explanation, just know I hit diamond on 2 alt accounts before I was able to do so on my main, and I hit ascendant easily on an alt account soloqueueing when I couldn't haven't done it on my main yet) so I actually do think there's something similar to "losers queue", but it for sure can be fixed if you have enough time to play on that account. I feel like the part where you say having low kills because of your role is cope might be a bit misunderstood (bad KD is for sure bad tho). I have really really high KAST%, and that's not because I bait or I have low firepower. I simply don't take the fights when I don't have to, like going for kills when economy isn't good or the round isn't secure while enemy team still has a lot of utility. I'm more like of a backup player, if you know what I mean. Definitely agree on the part where you say grinding deathmatch when you don't have that much time, positivity and blaming yourself are good advice. Also I feel like watching better players play actually helped me a shit ton, I only have 250h on ranked on my main, about 400h in total counting my alts over the span of 4 years, watching pros play all kinds of agents, even the ones I don't play, helps me get insight on what my teammates or the opponents that are playing it might be thinking about. I do want to ask thought, what's your opinion on being a flex player? I play about 10 agents comfortably (initiator, sentinel, controller) with a couple duelists I can whip out if needed. I always fill because I trust myself to be better at that flex position than a random player that might be a one trick to pick up another role/agent, but some people argue that you should just pick a small amount of agents and just carry so that you don't need to care if your teammates are playing something they're new at.
got to imm3 few years ago , but now im more plat/diamond after falling into rabbit hole of trying 15 diff mice and a range of diff sens and obsessing over it now im worse than ever ha. now anytime i play i get asked if i bought the account
It's "10 to 2 on half", meaning the enemy has 10 rounds won and your team only won 2 rounds. The half is the first half of the game, which is 12 rounds.
Hey, so I'm plat 2 and started around 4 months ago and I'm starting to take it more seriously. I've been told by many people I should be much higher rank, as I'm dropping 20-30 each game. But, after a game or two, I start playing horribly and sometimes even bottom fragging. Why is that? And should I just get off after a game or two?
I aim train a lot, I'm master in voltaic benchmarks, but whenever i hop on valorant I just can't hit the shots at all. The microadjustments I do in kovaaks completely don't exist when i play valorant, even if I try to force them. Do you have any tips, I'm hardstuck in ascendant and I get out aimed by golds in dm and/or my smurf accounts, let alone actual ascendants. I literally can't hit people who arent even looking at me.
what does it mean when i get first on a deathmatch against a bunch of radiants and immortals as a silver player but lose to them in 1v1s throughout the match 😐 what does it means when i win the match plus win the 1v1s against everyone as a silver? should i stop queueing with my friends who are bad and rank up or ???
One problem I found with my duo partner is that, we climbed from gold to asc together but then he stopped learning and improving. Making the same mistakes everyday and he doesn't even understand his mistakes. When I point it out to him, he thinks I am wrong and he is right. So, I stopped duo'ing. There's no point playing with a duo partner if they stop growing. Well he deranked to D1 after I stopped duo'ing with him but he still hasn't learned his lessons. Soloq is working for me. I used to play killjoy but I have switched to instalocking Reyna after reaching asc and fraging out hard. Let's hope I reach immortal soon. Will use your lessons in my game.
@@strike9775 No dear.. I still play with him (with an alt account). I have a smurf acc in every rank to play with all my friends. I handicap myself while playing from smurf so that it's not unfair to the opponents..
I tried learning the game on a level on league where I could sift through a person's portfolio and come up with a consistent plan to be able to climb, except every time I would be able to find someone to get a good amount of matches they would decide to randomly queue something they weren't great at expecting me to go hard and carry them or no reason / picking fights because enemy duo i playing for keeps on me while they hit buttons or feed tilt. you can't really coach most rito game players in a duo and spoonfeed them a combo or strategy that will work. most people aren't playing to win in lower elos they are playing out of boredom to make it 4 other people's problems and feeding their simp ego by sabotaging their own team over being rustled from something trivial instead of finding some other entertainment.
Personally, I wouldn't say to always blame yourself. But, I would rather acknowledge the fact that I could have always done something better and take responsibility for the mistakes for the lost round. Always blaming yourself is actually one of the dangerous behaviors you can have for your mental health.
See my issue currently is I literally cannot play DM, like, at all. I just tried loading into one and joined when people had 38 kills, the match ended within 20 seconds of me joining. I'm sure I would be much more consistent if I could put in more practice towards my gun fights but its very hard to do without having proper access to DM... If someone has any suggestions for fixing this that'd be awesome (I've tried everything Riot support has offered to no avail :(. )
Getting better PC parts and internet connection would be your next step here, cause loading into a DM with someone already having 38 kills isn't normal. If your PC and internet is fast, you should always load before the Deathmatch starts, the "warm-up time" where players can start dueling, without their scores being tallied.
dont overthink just click heads and dont act stupid, that will make you rankup to immortal 1-2 or even high immo (but ranked sucks so it depends on your teammates, lag, etc. etc. etc. etc.)

i had a game where ppl play with a valorant tracker and they saw me have 0W 10L, (i was actually in a 12 loose streak lol) and they were making fun of me and spaming "can we dodge please" "please sage lock in LOL" i won multiple clutch and important round and we loose because the only comms i have was just trashtalking and them making fun of my loose streak
The game doesn't even have replays so there's nothing to reflect on, nor will I be able to see how does enemy rotate, or how I get insta tapped during a slide.
Nice information bro❤
Nah this gonna help me a lot thanks man
Pleasure is all mine!
W guide man!
After losing a Valorant game because of my teammates, I asked my father who leads and manages teams a question along the lines of: "What do you do when you try your best as a leader of a team, but your co-workers screw up."
He said: *Take accountability for the result, and ask yourself what you could have done differently. You will always think of something.*
You're working together with real people in this game. Learn from your mistakes, and you just might use it in life.
He’s so right on the first one just insta lock Reyna and get all the kills before ur plastic 2 teamates die
Ik that Iso had a heart attack seeing a Thrash and a fade dog lmao

If I am bad when I play with a teammate but good alone ?
lol imma have to still the 2-10 comeback card. Obv focus on fundamentals and learning tho (this tip is more for the mental side of ranking up)
teres a lot of things here that are applyable to any game , which i always try to tell people.
im hard stuck diamand since 2 month i it asc 1 this summer but i went down .. time for me to improove thx a lot !
I somehow came back from 5-11 and 3-11 (my last 2 games) in ascendant
What is a "10 to half" 10 to 5?
It's "10 to 2 on half", meaning the enemy has 10 rounds won and your team only won 2 rounds. The half is the first half of the game, which is 12 rounds.
@natureandinsects4879 thanks :)
can u make a video how to play dm effectively and correctly
I work away every week so I can only play weekends, I'm trying to get immo and am at ascendant so far.
And should I just get off after a game or two?
hi marrentm!
WHATTT marentm ??? i find a secret channel ? i saw that the thumbnail style was similar to the one in fortnite so i clicked and i see its you
MARRENTM OMGGGGGGG WASSSUP LONG TIME NO SEE
I aim train a lot, I'm master in voltaic benchmarks, but whenever i hop on valorant I just can't hit the shots at all.
What is your sens?
what does it mean when i get first on a deathmatch against a bunch of radiants and immortals as a silver player but lose to them in 1v1s throughout the match 😐 what does it means when i win the match plus win the 1v1s against everyone as a silver? should i stop queueing with my friends who are bad and rank up or ???
Good luck on your journey man
Imagine caring more about a game to stop playing with your friend because he is bad lmao go touch grass my friend.
@@strike9775 No dear.. I still play with him (with an alt account). I have a smurf acc in every rank to play with all my friends. I handicap myself while playing from smurf so that it's not unfair to the opponents..
just find a new duo it’s really worth
I be clutching 1v3s quite often
Nice explain thanks
after reaching immo, it really isnt that hard bruh everyone is dog at the game, including myself
Marrentm going crazy rn
what is your sens
me watchign eggster made me the best yoru main in gold lobbies
can tdm be as same as normal dm?
is it possible with 60fps?
i hit immo, I WANT RADIANT NOW!
If someone has any suggestions for fixing this that'd be awesome (I've tried everything Riot support has offered to no avail :(. )
buy ssd it costs 40 euro
@@unablekogah7479 ive swapped val to my ssd and it fixed my issue only issue is it only has 250 gb :(
Getting better PC parts and internet connection would be your next step here, cause loading into a DM with someone already having 38 kills isn't normal.
If your PC and internet is fast, you should always load before the Deathmatch starts, the "warm-up time" where players can start dueling, without their scores being tallied.
wake up babe, marrentm dropped a vid
who?
@qBridges mareentm
yea ik
As a hardstuck bronze, thanks for the video
Bro u need a duo
@LingComplex11 I have one but because of our exams and school we can't play much
went from bronze to ascendant in a year time to push immo
crosshair?
dont overthink just click heads and dont act stupid, that will make you rankup to immortal 1-2 or even high immo (but ranked sucks so it depends on your teammates, lag, etc. etc. etc. etc.)
hi, i have a question. i used to crouch very often while shooting and i was getting so much kills. lately i started to try to crouch less but i couses me to get less kills even after training it for weeks. so what should i do - keep playing with clutching while shooting and getting kills or should i get rid of this habbit even if it is cousing me to play worse. im peak plat3 and s2 rn btw. sorry for my bad english but im polish. i hope you are going to answer me
id recomend watching woohojins movement mastery video on how to deadzone and burst
I can smell primmie plays
2:24 every single player bottom frags games, regardless of skill. Flaming someone for bot fragging is a weak mental.
please help me i am diamond but i got placed in gold and i cant escape and i do aim trainer and warm ups everyday and i keep losing even though I mvp please help me
ok but what do i do when i drop 40 and still lose
xD
15:41 I see what you did there
Best motivational speech in 2024 🎉

Clocked in just over 600 hours on it. But that's because I love it, you don't need it
what if im 12 and no one wants to quene with me
А если твиттер и дискорд заблокированы?
ngl guys the real way to reach immortal is to just instalock duelist or clove every game.
I have a 70% winrate with clove in immortal this season
still gonna blame my team because its funy
imma try this I'm actually hardstuck bronze1😂
Yo anyone knows a clove radiant streamer?
you forgot about hardware keep them optimum or youll always lose your duels
