Your aim is solid enough to be much higher rank. Focus on crosshair placement (it's fine for gunfights, but gets sloppy when you're not expecting a gunfight. This indirectly improves your aim as a bonus)

@@mkmm5960 okay, so the first clip in the actual game; You're scoping way too much. Valorant is a game where scoping puts you at a huge disadvantage unless you're at a very far range, and even then, the movement bonus you get from being unscoped often outweighs the accuracy bonus. Your crosshair placement is pretty off as well. You spent a good chunk of time aiming at the middle of the floor while you were playing for the rotate. Your position was very good, but your crosshair should always be aimed for head height at whatever wall you're looking towards. You can adjust it afterwards if they move at a weird angle, but having your crosshair touching the ground is almost always a bad idea. So rather than having it on the sand, place it on the wall and aim down if they're too close or whatever. Your crosshair was also too low for when that person came up the rope and swung you, and your gun wasn't ready for when you ran out in front of Killjoy. This all tells me that you need to practice crosshair placement and some basic discipline (always having your gun out unless you're guaranteed safety, etc.). As for the clip with the ghost; your gunfight hygiene was really bad. You were spamming crouch while trying to aim which does make you slightly more difficult to hit, but makes hitting their head also very difficult. It's much better to move your head side to side by strafing rather than trying to move it down with a crouch. It gives you more accuracy since you can stop and shoot as you strafe, makes you harder to hit due to the speed of your head moving. You also need a bit more patience with your shots on ghost, as the gun is much more powerful when accurate rather than spam clicked

As someone who has been aim training for a long time, a couple tips, you want to transfer the flick tech from aim training over to val, especially dynamic clicking tech. If the guy is standing still, flick to the head, make sure to correct if needed, fire. If the guy isn't standing, flick to him, track his head till u have a confirned shot, fire. Be patient is all, be patient in your flicking. If your sens is an issue, switch it up. Increase it or lower it, even in aim lab, as different types of aiming demand different sensitivities. Never stick to one sens, muscle memory is a myth and not doing so is essentially just handicapping yourself to a sens you're sometimes not "comfy" with. Glad you found a way of self improvement that youre comfortable with, keep it up :D
WHJ aim training definitely changes the way you aim and click on targets compared to when you dont use that aim training although I would personally argue that you shouldnt be using the playlist after 7 days because it would become overrepetitive and therefore makes you more sloppier over time. Equip different training methods to overcome the fatigue and you will definitely improve more than sticking to one training method.
First video seen from you and I’ll tell you I’m lucky it’s a banger!!! Idk how you have less than 100 subs. I also have a channel with around 12k subs (not on this acc) the first bit of me uploading was real slow but after a bit the vids started exploding and I think this is the one that will explode for you!!! Good luck please keep going
Nice video about your journey, you have a great delivery and even if I think the momentum of the video could be more hyper, you still do a good job at making of your point. Kudo
Something that helped me improve is getting used to a crosshair/enemy target color. Since I feel like my muscle memory improves and allows me to be more consistent. I saw that you constantly kept changing your crosshair and color so I’d recommend you give it a try for a while.
Aim is an important thing to work on, but I think something more important for where you're at in your val journey is to work on your crosshair placement and how you are peeking around walls and corners. 1 - Your crosshair placement is very inconsistent. The more you keep your crosshair at headshot height, the less you have to compensate. You constantly aim to low and your spray rises up into the headshot, or you just body spray. Valorant has slow movement, and sharp aimers. Really work on having solid crosshair placement so that you have to adjust minimally and can get that first bullet out ASAP. 2 - There is an old cs video from voo csgo years ago where he talks about how to peek around corners. The idea is that your crosshair is locked to the corner, slightly away from it, and as you move around the corner the crosshair moves relative to that. It's not a 100% rule. Sometimes you should pre-aim, you have info nobody is close right or you are prepping for a specific angle. But in general, you get caught off guard ablot by people being in positions because you aren't moving your crosshair relative to the angles you are pushing. 3 - Related to point 2, your movement is part of point 2. You also get caught off guard because of how you move into new angles. The closer you are to a corner, the more likely an opponent will see you FIRST. The further away, the more likely you see each other at the same time. Your camera pov is in the center of your head, if you're peeking close on an angle they'll see your arms before you even see them. It's very important to make sure that you are combing points 1 and 2 with 3 to make sure that you are optimizing correct crosshair location with optimal movement, and adjusting it as necessary based on the particular situation: which is ALWAYS changing. Again, situational. There's a great quote from the book enders game. There IS no combat without movement. If you are plat 3 with such low hours, you've got a lot of potential!! Keep working at it!! I think if you implement good crosshair placement and movement with consistent aim training, you'll see it pay off big time as you continue to play. Good luck!! Great video!!
This video showed up to me in a day i lost 4 in a row, I’m trying to get to immortal for the first time but I’m struggling on ascendent 2/3. I’m on the routine everyday since September 10th.
Bro its crazy how good ur mechanics are for how little time u have played. I'm high imm3 with over a thousand hours in ranked and ur raw aim is very close to imm3 level.
Completely unrelated to aim, but i would really recommend picking up Raze if you love playing duelist. It takes some fiddling with binds, but if you’re comfortable with comming for util, a half-decent raze with a little initiator util for support is unstoppable in diamond-ascendant elo in my experience, plus shes a ton of fun. Best of luck on the grind :))
I'm a Diamond, and honestly watching your gameplay this video, sometimes it looks like I'm watching a radiant highlight reel and sometimes it looks like I'm watching a Gold. For example, Your Lotus clip on B site where you use dismiss and harbor wall to outplay your enemies. That was incredibly smooth and well played. On the other hand your pistol ace, you reload after every kill and crouch a lot. The Lotus clip feels calculated, while on Haven your gameplay seems to be on an adrenaline rush. It doesn't seem like your aim is what's holding you back. Like sometimes things click for you/you're in the zone and you make incredible plays, but sometimes they don't and never do for an entire game. Since you're using his aim training playlist, hooj has a lot of videos talking about theory of gunfights/general game sense. He puts an emphasis on trying to teach people how to play things correctly due to conscious thought and skill rather than things "clicking". Keep up the grind and maybe I'll see you in ranked!
I mean they go hand in hand. if you have tenz level aim and your gamesense is a little under par you can still hit immortal or radiant but thats because you have one skill that is extremely developed while the other is not. For the majority of people this isn't the case the inverse is also true. But in general its best to develop all skills at the same level at the same pace.
TH-cam algorithm blessed me with this video. Nice improvement bro. Only thing i'd say is that you're probs reloading way too often (that pistol ace), if any of them played together you'd probs have gotten instantly traded, still a nice ace though. Also maybe try get some more utility out of your dismiss, sometimes you used it in places where it'd probs have been better to reposition instead with it or you would've been in the same position without the dismiss. Gl in your grind though.
As a hardstuck diamond for a while, who finally got to Ascendent 3, I will say the gameplay is pretty much the same. The main difference is that you get the occasional hard match where the other team is working together really well with their abilities. I barely aim trained to get here. Aim is still mid. I just played smart by playing to win and not caring about stats/aces. Your aim can always stagnate but your game sense should never falter (unless you're not eating well/getting enough sleep/exercise). Watch good player's streams and apply similar game plans.
5:03 I did the same thing a few days ago as Cypher, 3 players were in front of me all aimed toward me, killed one, crouched behind cover that was in front of me while they were all shooting in my direction, threw a cage to my right, and escaped to where my teammates were. Felt like a literal action movie main hero god I also would've brainlessly ego peeked a few weeks ago.
i went from iron3 to bronze3 and then just stepped into silver1. all with astra lurking. i have good crosshair placement and good aim for a bronze player. i even do kovaak's aim trainer. one sunday i decided to rankup from silver1 to silver2 and deranked to bronze3. i got silver2 and silver3 players in my opponents and they just crushed us. and then deranked to bronze2. i realised one thing, no matter how much effort u put into aim training and getting better, there will always be some guy in enemy's team who will derank u and lower ur RR. only way if u wanna rank up consistently is to put lot of effort everyday. like insane grind.
Hey boss not sure if you’re still checking the comments yet but love the work and love the content. Just wanted to put a little bit of feedback here, just feels like the audio balance is a little off. The game audio especially the gunshots seem quite loud in comparison to your voice. Great work though good luck with the content journey. :)
You have very “floaty” aim I recommend trying the bardpill which is a fast flick ideally barely over or slightly under prioritizing speed then a fast but accurate micro correction.
Good video i recently did this too, but I don't get much time to game 😣, good aim just makes you enjoy the game more, no matter you win or lose or which rank you're in
Aim training is real, my hs% for the last 25 games is now 53% (it was around 9 or 10% i think) you just need to give it a little time, like a week or so, and another really important thing that got me from iron3 to silver2 in one act is playing as a filler, team needs sentinel ? i'll pick kj, need smokes ? ill take omen ... this really works even if im not the top fragger my impact in game is very high
Imo if you really want to be on top of your game long term it would be better to learn a specific role/agent that better suits your playstyle and hard grind it on ranked. Unless you have the knowledge of a high ELO for each role and it's automatic for your mind, this will overall improve your impact when you climb higher.
@creizi1176 the problem is that in silver lobbies no one wants to play sentinels and controllers, so what I'm doing is trying to master agents like brim omen viper and kj especially the setups and the lineups
@@mrreese2342 oh then it's lit, you seem to be mostly going for controller. Just remember this: the banana man himself (Woohoojin) has stated and *proven* multiple times that 1. Team composition doesn't have as much impact in lower ELO as you might think and 2. Having good gunfights alone can make you rank up to gold, especially in your ELO you should worry about fundamentals and aim first and roles second.
@@creizi1176 you're absolutely right this is neither pro play nor high elo, but it has been a while now since im playing these roles and im starting to get used to that, for example on lotus and breeze i cant play other than viper because of my executes and lineups, just yesterday, i clutched 3 times because of my lineups and we eventually won the game, i still have one map and only one which is split where i play raze because i absolutely crush my enemies and always get 25+ kills but other maps idk it seems like im a natural controller/sentinel and not a duelist lmao, anyways thank you for your advice appreciate it.
hey thank you so much for these, i will definitely give this a try and let y'all know about how mine goes and how much mine improves..(i will edit this message, hopefully after 7 days) cuz rn my aim sucks.. my movement and game sense is okay i think. btw yes i lack confidence too.. but tbh you're aim is not bad at all, you should be more confident and try to keep strafing in your gun fights more, and crosshair placement will definitely come more from the muscle memory as you learn to peek the angles and understand the height differences etc..
Besides aim trainings. The major thing that helped me with my aim is the gunfight hygiene from the Banana Man itself. E7A1 32.3% HS then E7A2 41% HS. I played 30 games this act I was not able to grind too much as I only play once a week 3-4 games. Currently Plat 1 (got demoted from P2), I still suck tho. 😂😂
This is my biggest pet peeve even in imm/rad, but if you arent playing an agent that is good on that map, then you are already lowering your odds of winning. One of the worst things in lower ranks and thats why the diamond/plat range is "elo hell" because trolling/smurfing/and literally agent picks are such a pain to deal with.
aim is a crutch that can take you a decent distance but you need to hone your other faults as well. From the clips you had many issues that you might not notice bc the enemy basically fed themselves to you. but if you vod review i could see you getting to immo if you keep the training up.

I also don't understand why he thinks it's bad x) It took me 150h to be Silver 1 only But maybe it wasn't his first fps on PC and he was already strong at csgo for example so had great expectations
Nice to see improvement, just a couple of fixes are you'll be good to go, such as possibly stop crouching and constant reloading after kills, some things you did was unnecessary but still got the wins, if you are lacking game since aim training won't help at all, plus it's best to also get the feel of other agents to maybe predict the plays your enemies might do

All in all, good work and nice improvement! Glad you found a way of self improvement that youre comfortable with, keep it up :D
This makes me a believer thank you
And believe you should. Keep it up, no matter what you're grinding towards. Good luck.
This was a very nice video it was like all those other aim lab videos but with a twist I just got hooked in the first 5 secs good job I hope u grow
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed.
6:55 was driving me nuts by you reloading after every kill
This video inspired me to try this routine. Thank you so much for this video
No problem and good luck on your training!
i love how it's the same jett clip for every deathmatch
Thought it looked cool :)
Thank you so much.
Ah yes the rise of small valorant creators
73hrs playtime and plat 3 peak make me feel IUEWWEORINUFCUWEPFUOEW
i have 128h playtime THIS ACT and still cant get out of silver
Keep grinding, it'll come!
Nice video about your journey, you have a great delivery and even if I think the momentum of the video could be more hyper, you still do a good job at making of your point. Kudo
That J. Jonah Jameson bit at the start of the video got me 😂
keep this shiz up man over 100k views only 900+ subs you deserve more.
I definitely will. Thank you for the kind words.
Something that helped me improve is getting used to a crosshair/enemy target color. Since I feel like my muscle memory improves and allows me to be more consistent. I saw that you constantly kept changing your crosshair and color so I’d recommend you give it a try for a while.
This video is sure good! I think im gonna start aim training, learning my VOD and playing comp again.
You got this!
this is a really neat video dude super good job
fire video brother
Your video is one of the videos that inspired it
yo bro nice vid that was me whiffin the shorty as pheonix at 2:03
Lmao all good. Scared tf out of me.
Yeah, you kinda were pretty good to start with. I don't think you understand how hopeless I am. 😉
But well done, fun road to watch.
You can get there too with enough time and effort.
Really well made video.
nah you need more subs that vid was nice watched every single second
i also liked and subbed
@@besseralsgut111 Thanks and welcome!
Thank you and yeah this is something I want to do for sure. Raze seems so fun.
Congrats! The only thing I really noticed was the movement and reloading after almost every kill.
2:15 raze rocking that ominous valorant accent...
I mean they go hand in hand. if you have tenz level aim and your gamesense is a little under par you can still hit immortal or radiant but thats because you have one skill that is extremely developed while the other is not. For the majority of people this isn't the case the inverse is also true. But in general its best to develop all skills at the same level at the same pace.
your voice when you started to talk back to the raze 🤣🤣 so high pitched
Watch good player's streams and apply similar game plans.
dont know how much youve improved since this video but if you get ur crosshair placement down ur gonna be a beast
Not only aim is important but also movement during gunfights. You can literally dodge bullets like neo from matrix if you know what you are doing
5:03 I did the same thing a few days ago as Cypher, 3 players were in front of me all aimed toward me, killed one, crouched behind cover that was in front of me while they were all shooting in my direction, threw a cage to my right, and escaped to where my teammates were. Felt like a literal action movie main hero god
I also would've brainlessly ego peeked a few weeks ago.
i went from iron3 to bronze3 and then just stepped into silver1. all with astra lurking. i have good crosshair placement and good aim for a bronze player. i even do kovaak's aim trainer. one sunday i decided to rankup from silver1 to silver2 and deranked to bronze3. i got silver2 and silver3 players in my opponents and they just crushed us.
and then deranked to bronze2.
i realised one thing, no matter how much effort u put into aim training and getting better, there will always be some guy in enemy's team who will derank u and lower ur RR.
only way if u wanna rank up consistently is to put lot of effort everyday. like insane grind.
I appreciate the feedback
That chamber was so mad😂
Might have to try this w 1k hrs most in ranked and still hardstuck plat
Diamond soon!
I'm gonna forget abt this by the time I get my new mouse in 2 wks cus my old one broke lmao
You have very “floaty” aim I recommend trying the bardpill which is a fast flick ideally barely over or slightly under prioritizing speed then a fast but accurate micro correction.
Good video i recently did this too, but I don't get much time to game 😣, good aim just makes you enjoy the game more, no matter you win or lose or which rank you're in
I recommend Woohoojin’s movement routine
When u strafe it’s usually too short of a strafe to really throw off ur opponents aim
Nice nice! Keep it up. Yeah I plan to keep aim training.
@@creizi1176 you're absolutely right this is neither pro play nor high elo, but it has been a while now since im playing these roles and im starting to get used to that, for example on lotus and breeze i cant play other than viper because of my executes and lineups, just yesterday, i clutched 3 times because of my lineups and we eventually won the game, i still have one map and only one which is split where i play raze because i absolutely crush my enemies and always get 25+ kills but other maps idk it seems like im a natural controller/sentinel and not a duelist lmao, anyways thank you for your advice appreciate it.
solid video with great commentary
Thank you!
hey thank you so much for these, i will definitely give this a try and let y'all know about how mine goes and how much mine improves..(i will edit this message, hopefully after 7 days) cuz rn my aim sucks.. my movement and game sense is okay i think.
btw yes i lack confidence too.. but tbh you're aim is not bad at all, you should be more confident and try to keep strafing in your gun fights more, and crosshair placement will definitely come more from the muscle memory as you learn to peek the angles and understand the height differences etc..
solid video! keep it up bro
btw you can press shift+enter to directly type in All Chat
Thanks goat. I had no idea lmao
dope video man
love the video man, keep it up!
nah nah, you got this diamond soon
Thanks bro! Yeah! I'll get there soon
which headshot % is that because there are multiple types on valorant tracker
@@axtra9561The avg HS % for the whole act. 55% on Vandal specifically.
@@_deybidnice
Watched and followed Woohoojin for a bit and was able to climb. I don't play anymore now tho
This is my biggest pet peeve even in imm/rad, but if you arent playing an agent that is good on that map, then you are already lowering your odds of winning. One of the worst things in lower ranks and thats why the diamond/plat range is "elo hell" because trolling/smurfing/and literally agent picks are such a pain to deal with.
pop your ult more often as reyna its really easy to charge it up again
aim is a crutch that can take you a decent distance but you need to hone your other faults as well. From the clips you had many issues that you might not notice bc the enemy basically fed themselves to you. but if you vod review i could see you getting to immo if you keep the training up.
good shit reyna
I like how most of the time we in plat have to pray for normal teammates...
The normal ones do exist though thankfully.
nice video format
underatted
try sticking to 1 crosshair for 20 games you'll notice a bit more consistency, you did good on tenz crosshair,
2:20 ranking up is realizing that duelists arent meant for kills, but to help take space
That banana man helped us
Damn ur popping off
Hey man, excellent video! just switch off movement error on your crosshair and you'll have a better understanding of your crosshair placement!
Correction: you had it off later in the video. Definitely keep up your movement in strafing when shooting, and pre-clear angles when peeking
bros chill ash
Hey man, i dont think you should be too hard on yourself for being plat 3, thats an amazing rank especially for only 70+ hours, i have like 500 hours and it took me a good 400 to get out of gold, so good on you and keep improving man, keep it up.
I also don't understand why he thinks it's bad x) It took me 150h to be Silver 1 only But maybe it wasn't his first fps on PC and he was already strong at csgo for example so had great expectations
clean thumbnail
Gotta try that out mate! good video!
Thank you and good luck
IN 7 DAYS YOU HIT DIAMOND
Good content out there
So nobody is gonna acknowledge the random omen sitting on the top of the map?
Nice to see improvement, just a couple of fixes are you'll be good to go, such as possibly stop crouching and constant reloading after kills, some things you did was unnecessary but still got the wins, if you are lacking game since aim training won't help at all, plus it's best to also get the feel of other agents to maybe predict the plays your enemies might do
