The PIANO MUSIC in ep 10, It's fantastic!!!! My other fave piece is in Season 8 episode 3. Hope you both are having a musically happy week...and thank you again!☺️💚
One great big boom (from anti-freeze, lol) and there’s the wrap for so many cast members! I remember reading somewhere about the production that Ramsay’s demise was too dangerous to film as the dogs couldn’t be trusted to be in the same scene as the actor, so it was film magic. Also, Jon’s grime from the battle included more than a bit of red jam, which attracted bees. So he had an additional challenge. Loved it, as always! Peace …
Oh wow, thank you!! I'll be sure to share this with Marc because you know how much we both love behind the scenes info and trivia. Very interesting about the jam- I'd heard several times that they use grape jelly to cover babies for post-birth scenes. That ruined breakfast forever.
A couple details I really like about this episode: Notice the Bear Island shield Jon picked up when Ramses is shooting arrows at him in Winterfell. Lady Mormont was correct about the strength of her 62 men! At the end...Sansa did what her father Ned taught. If you give the sentence, you swing the sword...and like Bran had to do...watch. She literally watched as she swung her sword, or in this case, having his own dogs...gulp...do it. Savage Sansa for the win!
@@DavidvsFilm Also, I could be wrong, but when Jon is being buried alive I think, in part, it is Bear Island men helping him get to air. One more thought I ponder, in that same moment, do you think Jon finally wants to live? It seems to me, up until that very moment when he is suffocating and before being squeezed to death, he was already ready to die...because he has! Right after seeing Rickon murdered, and not seeing his little brother for how many years? Then to see him tall, and scared running to Jon, then an arrow through his chest seconds before reaching him. I think that when he pulls out LongClaw, standing alone waiting...that was his last stand and ready to die...for good. And if you understand my wonderful run-on and on thoughts... you're amazing!☺️☺️

I came so close to splitting them! But we'd already done 2 per video the whole season, and so ultimately I decided to keep it consistent. But I totally hear you on this!
I'm gobsmacked! Oh my gosh... 31:52 "So now you know Jon's mother." I kept waiting for the deeper realization to hit... Jon's real father... and you gents never talk about it! 43:42 "...wait for more definitive answers on that." I'm speechless! . . . . . Who Lyanna Stark was with was established waaaay back in season 1. Her abduction is what sparked Robert's Rebellion. It was 5 seasons ago, so I don't blame you, but Oh I can't wait for you gents to get to that part in the coming seasons when it is spelled out and confirmed who his real father is.
Hahaha ok, I'll tell you, it wasn't that. Here's what it was.. *SPOILER-Y FOR ANYONE ELSE READING* Remember that I (David) have seen the series once in its entirety, and even though there are a lot of things that I either missed or forgot from the first go-round (hence the genuine shock you see from me in some episodes), I definitely remembered the storyline about Jon's identity. And even though to your point they clearly left big giant Easter eggs along the way since Season 1, I knew that it wasn't until the end of Season 7 that it's truly revealed WHO EXACTLY Jon is. So I was nervous to say too much to Marc in the moment because I didn't know if we the audience were for sure supposed to know who his father is and that Jon is a, well, what he is, at that moment ;)
I think the 2 best episodes of the series... but what made this for me was the look on your face David when Mark was in his rage over ramsay bolton! I want that on a t-shirt😂
That's the look of confidence knowing I keep pepper spray in my pocket at all times just in case. ;) Thank you, Keith!! We talked about these episodes more a few days later after they had time to settle in, and we agree with you- best 2 of the series so far. It's a tough call against Red Wedding, and that probably still is the most unexpected, shocking MOMENT, but Winds of Winter just did not let up from beginning until the end. And the opening sequence- with the music especially- is a work of art.
I love this version of Sansa too. One of my favorite battles. The chaos, the absolute suck, and non-glamours view of war. The music at the start of episode 10! So haunting. The building of tension. Well done to the Sweet Summer Hubby. He remembered well many things in both episodes.
It's like you're just reading my mind completely with this comment! Thank you! And yes- I was super impressed at his memory. He's retained way more than I ever did. You see my ass still getting GENUINELY SHOCKED at things the second time around- that's how bad my memory is! haha
I was asked by my extras agency to appear on episode 9 but it clashed with a friend's wedding and I had to decline, most devastating moment of my life!
@DavidvsFilm I appeared in several episodes of the next two seasons but I missed being a part of the battle of the bastards! I even mentioned in my best man toast that I could've been in a field, upto my neck in mud, instead I'm here drinking champagne. Lol
David, I encourage you to watch the series Misfits. Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) has such an interesting character in that and it really proves what a great actor he is :) :)
This reaction is so great, both of your commentaries made my mom and I laugh 😂 I also realize I need a “sweet summer child” t-shirt. I’m an august baby and think it’s hilarious and fun😊
Thank you! I hope we don't disappoint! I can tell you that Marc loves all the episodes so far, but I could tell a definite difference in our after-watch conversation with him on these episodes. He was way more excited and into it. :)
David!!!!!!!! About god damn time, Leanne rymes was on her way to kick ur ass but I’ve just called her and told that husband stealing tramp to back of…. Glad to see a game of thrones reaction if u can’t tell. And the best episodes ever on television lol. Much love x

@@DavidvsFilm always! 🌟 and i also understand abt the editing part, but i love it all the same, specially Marc's reaction 🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg pls mentally prepare him for the next 2 seasons, he still a sweet summer child even after 6 seasons i kinda worried abt him 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Season six, personally I really like, because we finally get to see the Stark children, the ones who have made it to Season 7, that each one of them is on their COMEBACK TOUR to Winterfell and the strength of their wolfpack slowly returning! We have.... Sanza with her daring escape with Threek, then of course Jon's resurrection and the clarity of leaving CastleBlack with Sanza to reclaim their home. Arya is no longer No One. She is Arya Stark of Winterfell and she is going home. Then Bran brings it full circle learning about Jon's lineage and has almost mastered being a Three Eyed Raven. Wow those Stark kids are impressive!!!!
@@DavidvsFilm I like how you think amigo...Spoonie's World serving up some Threek tees!😉☺️ Shriek for Threek! Or...I'll be back in Threek shakes of a lamb's tail.😂😂 okay now I'm just getting into madness
Hooboy! I remember when these 2 episodes first dropped. Everybody was talking about Daenyrs dragon fire and the Dothraki hoard. Battle of the Bastards (which is the official title in the book) was only ever going to end one way. Jon beat that azz and then Sansa fed him to his own dogs, just desserts indeed. Not to speak ill of the dead, but DAYUM! Rickon was clearly going through an awkward phase 😂 did you catch the Jon is a Targaryen? Poor little Tomen 💔 Cerci really did see to the death of every one of her children. All of her own choices directly impacted each their deaths. I hope y'all are going to do House of the Dragon. Although, brave yourselves. There's even more incest than GoT, but there's also a lot more dragons. Little of column A, little of column B 😂
Hey there!!! Haha yeah, you don't get hair that naturally blonde without keeping it in the family 😬 So I'll tell you, with the Jon identity part.. at THIS point, no, Marc did not make the connection yet. Just that Lyanna is Jon's mother and Ned is not his father. Even though we already had info laid down in previous seasons about Lyanna and Rhaegar, that wasn't really at the forefront of Marc's mind in this moment (and my God, think about how much is happening in these 2+ hours- the poor boy is in shock lol). However, I can confirm that he does now know the full story of Jon's parents and heritage because we're a season ahead on Patreon, and we just had a lengthy discussion about it following the finale of Season 7 :)
I just noticed a parallel with the intros with both ep. 9 f 10. Both the Queens, Dany and Cersei destroyed and killed many in the city they rule over. The reasons are different but watching your reaction it occurred to me the similarity of the openers.🤔🤔
Jon snow can definitely die again, the first person we see resurrected is beric dondarrian, who has been resurrected many times. When Melisandre met him she remarked that it wasn’t possible he’d been resurrected as many times as he had, which I’ve always taken to mean 1. It’s incredibly rare to resurrect someone once, let alone twice, so more is unheard of and 2. She was throwing shade at thoros for being a drunk and still managing a miracle 😂
It's understandable but sad that you can't see the actor without thinking of Ramsey Bolton, because the first show I saw him in had him playing a really adorable sweetheart. Iwan Rheon was in a show that was an interesting take on the super hero theme called "Misfits". It's about a group of juvenile delinquents who are out doing community service when they get hit by a freak storm that gives people super powers based on the person's personality. Iwan plays a shy, sensitive kid named Simon who's power is that he can go invisible. Another character who's loud and brash, but cares a lot about what people think of her ends up with the power to hear people's thoughts. It's a really good show. Not necessary to react to, just a suggestion on a show to watch, even if it's just in your off-time.
The shield bit where they were all beginning to be crushed together in the middle is based on a real historical battle: the Battle of Cannae in 216 BC, where the Carthaginian leader Hannibal had the line bow out and let the Romans come in until they were completely surrounded and crushed together so closely that they couldn't swing their swords. Tens of thousands of Romans were slaughtered that day. And the piles of corpses, though not nearly as high as was portrayed in the show, come from eyewitness accounts of battles from the US Civil War as well as the Battle of Agincourt in 1415 from the Hundred Years War, where reports of corpses piling up on the battlefield as more and more French soldiers died to English and Welsh archers. Miguel Sapochnik is a friggin' genius of a director. Oh, and all of those horses were real, and were trained to fall down. (Obviously, they'd get back up once the camera moved away, but still.)
Thank you so much!! That's funny because someone else just suggested Misfits :) I really appreciate the suggestion, and definitely the information about the Battle of Cannae! I'll be sure to tell Marc. He loves true battle stories like that.
“You haven’t fed them in 7 days you said it yourself” is what Sansa said to Ramsay. However she already rode off when Ramsay said that. Small but noticeable error.
OK you have no idea how much I was hoping that someone was going to say this in the comments!!! Yes, thank you! I definitely noticed that, but I was afraid to bring it up because I thought maybe I was missing something. There's a great quote from the movie Dead Man Walking where a prison guard tells Susan Sarandon's character, a nun, "I ain't gonna get into no Bible quoting with no nun, 'cause I'm gonna lose." That's exactly how I feel challenging Game of Thrones fans because I'm always thinking, "Nah, this show is way too good and solid to allow for mistakes like that." (then I remember the Starbucks cup incident and I realize, Nah, they're not that good. lol)
Such a fantastic episode with such a minor error that almost nobody notices, but still tweaks me in some way lol. I’ve mentioned this to other reactors and they just pass it off as “John told Sansa what he said”. Anyways thanks for the reaction!
The Lord of Light bringing people back to life does not make them immortal. Remember Beric Dondarrion? He fought the Hound and was brought back and said that he'd been brought back like 5 times. So they can die again, but if there is a light priest or priestess around they might be able to bring them back again.
Sansa’s storyline and character development is one of the most difficult to watch for me. I’m sure it’s because it’s so relatable to me and many other women I know. Her story and character development is empowering as well, especially after finishing watching this season. Talk about strength, courage, and resilience! She’s such a bad ass!
@@DavidvsFilm I remember watching the show for the first time wanting to be and identify with Arya’s character because I’m in love with her character! I later realized I’m Sansa so when she started to show a lot of strength and wisdom despite everything, I was so excited to see her revenge and take back her home! I think her character can be an inspiration for a lot of others that have been through the type of hell she has. Which makes me think, which characters would you and Marc want to be vs. think you actually are in the GOT universe?
@WitchyShelbs Ooooh good question.. I'd love to say Jon for obvious reasons, but more reasonably I'm probably a cross between Sam and Catelyn. I like to think that I'm a decent guy with an optimistic outlook, I have a passion for learning, and I generally think most people are good at heart. But on the other hand.. I can also be very stubborn, blindly love those close to me and defend them to a fault, and though I always aim to forgive, I never forget. But mostly I'm all about Love and (the Lord of) Light! lol
“Mama made a call!”…”mama” couldn’t of told Jon about that call to Littlefinger? Why argue with him about not having enough men when she possibly had The Nights of the Vale. At least mention that to Jon. I didn’t like that.
Ahhh that's a great point! I feel like she did that for us, the audience. lol. Seriously though, even if the reason she didn't say anything was because she thought Jon would protest getting Littlefinger's help for some reason, they could have a done a quick scene showing that conversation for us afterwards. You're right though- something to explain why she wouldn't at least mention it.
@@DavidvsFilm Well, Sansa did apologize and admit to Jon that she should have told him about Littlefinger and The Nights of the Vale. To me it made no sense why she wouldn’t tell him. In the end, Sansa knew she was wrong and said sorry so, I guess that’s that.

That's the look of confidence knowing I keep pepper spray in my pocket at all times just in case. ;)
Thank you, Keith!!
Ahhhhh!!!! What a wedding gift! I would have told your friend, "You guys BETTER stay married after everything I've sacrificed to be here!"
@DavidvsFilm I appeared in several episodes of the next two seasons but I missed being a part of the battle of the bastards! I even mentioned in my best man toast that I could've been in a field, upto my neck in mud, instead I'm here drinking champagne. Lol
hahahaha be sure to tell me in the next two where you are!!
@DavidvsFilm I have 3 in series 7, if I appear in your cut down reaction here I will give you timestamps of your videos and say hi 👋
Check out the British Comedy “Vicious”. Iwan Rheon’s character named Ash is cute and funny 😊
Thanks!
David, I encourage you to watch the series Misfits. Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) has such an interesting character in that and it really proves what a great actor he is :) :)
Oh thank you!! I've heard a lot about his performance in Vicious, but not as much about Misfits. Thanks!
WHYYY did I see this right before I was planning on cleaning up my garden?! 😭
I guess it can be a treat for doing what I'm supposed to. 😂
I"m in France, i"m going too cook quickly a dinner, my husband can order , i"m going to eat pop corn !

Thank you!! Aww I'm glad y'all liked it! And YES, you definitely need a SSC t-shirt lol
Oooooh boy Ive been waiting for these two episodes with you both!!!
Thank you! I hope we don't disappoint! I can tell you that Marc loves all the episodes so far, but I could tell a definite difference in our after-watch conversation with him on these episodes. He was way more excited and into it. :)
Remember, the other guy died several times so I think Jon could die again.
Ohhhh true!!! You’re so smart, thank you!! I’ll be sure to tell Marc in case he doesn’t see this comment.
Great reaction guys!!
Thank you!! 😁
David!!!!!!!! About god damn time, Leanne rymes was on her way to kick ur ass but I’ve just called her and told that husband stealing tramp to back of….
Glad to see a game of thrones reaction if u can’t tell. And the best episodes ever on television lol. Much love x

Heck yes!!! Happy to be of assistance with some entertainment! (though we know the peach tea really does the heavy lifting, right?)

haha and I'll tell you- these two ESPECIALLY were difficult edits because there's so much good stuff! So many great moments, so many great lines- very hard to cut. Thank you for waiting though!!! :)

Very true!! Excellent observation as always :) Lol @ "Threek", btw
@@DavidvsFilm You give me too much credit...except for Threek...I will take credit for that, it literally came to me as I started to type Theon.☺️
@@TheOriginalSpooniesWorld Damn right. As you should. *trademark pending
Plus EP 10 starts with a queen taking revenge & ends on a queen coming to take revenge
🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@priyanshukumar6895 Nice ..I like that!
Ramsey is an evil hobbit troll.
The Lord of Light bringing people back to life does not make them immortal. Remember Beric Dondarrion? He fought the Hound and was brought back and said that he'd been brought back like 5 times. So they can die again, but if there is a light priest or priestess around they might be able to bring them back again.
Great point!! I wasn't even thinking about Beric. Very true.

Hahahahaha
Sansa’s storyline and character development is one of the most difficult to watch for me. I’m sure it’s because it’s so relatable to me and many other women I know. Her story and character development is empowering as well, especially after finishing watching this season. Talk about strength, courage, and resilience! She’s such a bad ass!
I love this comment ♥️
But mostly I'm all about Love and (the Lord of) Light! lol
Oh and as far as Marc, I'll ask him..
@@DavidvsFilm that’s great, can’t wait to hear what Marc says! Thanks for sharing!
Ramsay 1 - Wun-Wun 0
