Just got off work and thought i was tripping at first when i seen it aint know they moving with this much ease rn ik mfs got lives & other shit to do but i love seeing they reactions and i cant wait till they get to some of my favorite episodes.
We only saw Ser Arthur Dayne for about five minutes yet in that short amount of time established himself as the best swordfighter in the GoT universe. He was a GOAT.
He was still a kid and also you have no right to judge his decision until you have some one KILL EVERYONE YOU KNEW FROM BIRTH, but maybe you're the type who would forgive the ally who ate your mother
Something that happens in the books that they’ve alluded to in the show is that like Bran can warg into his wolf, all the siblings can. In the books Jon and Ghost have the most intense connection. Which is why Ghost was crying when Jon lay in the snow dying, why he perked up before Jon woke up. He feels him. Also, we could speculate that he was alive in someway within Ghost.
@ he may have, I don’t recall. I do remember that the wildling warg went into his eagle when Jon killed him. That’s why the eagle came down and tried to claw his eyes out. Also, Arya in the books has a “character” she took on called Cat. The books make it sound as though she also warged into cats on the rooftops to travel, while she was living with the family she was at that time in Bravos.
I appreciate that you guys immediately picked up on why Jon was able to walk away and feel like he wasn't breaking any actual oaths. I've seen other reactors not get that, when a member of the Night's Watch dies, their watch is over and their service is done. Jon's just the first one to come back.
When it comes to casting, there's no better show than DARK (Netflix). The casting director should have won every award there is (never believe anything else)
35:52 The Ollie situation is tough. I think we all felt bad for the little boy…BUT he was already betraying his main man at that young age! How would Jon or any of the Night’s Watch trust him going forward? Can’t be watching the wall and looking over your shoulder for a boy with a blade!
No one was going to spoil Jon's being brought back. It was too funny. When that episode of him being killed aired, Kit Harrison was pulled over by the cops. The cop said I'll let you off with a warning if you tell if Jon is coming back. Kit told him he couldn't say under contract and the cop had to swear not to talk. And, the cop stayed true to his word.
Brans reaction to how dayne died was because Ned was supposed to be honorable and even Judged Jaime for how he killed the mad king yet did the same to Arthur Dayne and claimed otherwise
bro ned didnt do that to arthur, reed did it and ned acted like he did it so no one knows what his friend did. please do not compare what a kingsguard did to the king to ned trying to find his kidnapped sister.

That’s why Jamie wanted to spar with Ned in season 1. He wanted to know the man who killed Ser Arthur Dayne. He WAS the best swordsman to ever live. His sword was forged by a fallen star. Not the traditional Valeryn sword that Ned has. He doesn’t use 2 swords in the book, it was just to show how powerful he really was. The show did him dirty, the books give him his credit. Jamie and others have described him as “being able to take a piss with one hand, while being able to cut down 5 men at the same time”. It was a confusing moment for Bran, since Jamie stabbed the Mad King in the back, and Ned only won the fight because he had Meera’s father save him, by stabbing him the back. Great reviews guys! Love y’all!
Sam's the dad that stepped up! 🫡 The Sword of the Morning (Arthur Dayne in this case) wields a sword called Dawn, made from a "fallen star" (a meteor). He was probably the greatest swordsman alive and it's shocking that he died that way...dishonorable
Ollie killed Ygritte but everyone said she killed his family and he did nothing wrong (not in my eyes. She was one of my favorites and I decapitated him in my mind for that). Killing Jon, someone who kept you at his side, never held the death of his girlfriend against you, taught you, protected you and you stabbed him. Ollie can kick rocks to the underworld and burn there too.
Ollie didn’t know that Ygritte was his girlfriend and he honestly shouldn’t have to care. Ygritte deserved what she got cause she attacked an innocent village. And I can understand why Ollie did what he did to Jon. Cause Jon protected the people who attacked Ollie’s village and destroyed his life.
@ How would he know the context of that or if that was in reference to Ygritte. The other men wouldn’t have known who Ygritte was to Jon either. All they know is that he slept with a wilding girl, not who she was or what happened to her.
So Sir Arthur Dayne (“the sword of the morning”) just so you know was one of Jaime’s top idols, so when he kept egging Ned on about, and eventually, fighting fr, that’s the reason he was so excited to do so; 1) he wanted revenge & 2) he wanted to take on the man known for killing him for the thrill of seeing if he could.

Olly was a farm boy from the Gift who fled to the Night's Watch after his village was attacked by the Free Folk. He was 14 when he arrived. u killed me with olly swinging from the go-pro angle 💀💀also, nice dissection of olly development by the lady at the end. i never looked that deeply into it myself but i do agree with that summary
Technically the oath also says: "I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.". But, of course, nobody wanted to challenge him at that point.
Omg I was as excited as yall were at the end of the last episode. I can't imagine how Jon felt when he woke up. Handles things in this episode way better than I would have lol. Yalls reactions have been the absolute best ever 💓
I think Ollie was too gone with hatred after his parents were killed. He was happy at the wall as he thought that they would be fighting the wildlings. He probably learned from Alliser that Jon was tapping some wildling girl, coupled with helping the wildlings
If he didn’t take out Olie right then and there, that kid would have made it his whole life’s mission to get John back. It sucks but it had to be done.
Arya saying what name would you like a Girl to speak, shows she still has her own power. You can see the Waif swallow her own frustration. Arya, is the real deal "strong" woman. She makes mistakes but learns from them. Part of Arya's strength is she does not give up even when she gets her ass handed to her. If GoT was a Hollywood adaption, Arya would automatically be the best fighter out of the House of Black and White, and would never be beaten no matter what she did. Her skills would be innate vs earned.
I still get a bit misty eyed when I see the scene where Ollie looks Jon in the eye and says nothing but has a face of pure anger. I understand Ollie’s motivation, and I don’t see a world where he doesn’t get executed here, there’s no second chances for someone who betrays you like that in GoT world.
Team let him swing. Ollie gets no pass. John mentored him after he killed his lady. Then he was the primary tool of the ruse that killed him and delivered the final blow.

I love how Sam borderline gets away with breaking so many vows but instead of someone like Pycell who uses power and influence to get away with sleeping with prostitutes and shit Sam just does similar but just having massive balls and being so good at his job as a maester in training
Well Sam isn’t sleeping with prostitutes and he isn’t in Pycelle’s position. He’s at the wall and is unimportant so he goes under the radar. Whilst Pycelle is at the top of society and is playing a political game.
Jon Snow is my favorite character and the end of this episode confirm that! His only goal is to fight for the living. He has no excessive ambition...Danerys is a conqueror and imposes her choices.
The Ygritte kill was totally justified since she killed Ollie's father in cold blood. But killing Jon was a total betrayal and get back must be had...lol
9:20 he's a brother of the night's watch , that's a better deal he'll ever gonna get what do you mean ? he never wanted to be celibate and single, he wanted to have a family but his father forced him into the night's watch . i'm happy he has a family now despite the life his father chose for him.
In the lore, Arthur Dayne wasn't just the best swordsman in Westeros. He was also extremely honourable and nice to everyone, including peasants. He also used a sizable part of his fortune to pay for relief efforts in parts of the Reach when it was flooded. He did more for common people than any lord, and every single knight in the series who speaks about Arthur says he was the greatest knight that ever lived. For him to die in such a dishonourable way is horrible, but it was nice of Ned to hide the truth from everyone else. Yeah. They have a hard time keeping their religious views out of the show. Same thing with them judging the women for things that they don’t care the male character’s do.
You guys are so intellectual and funny! I really enjoy your reaction to GOT :) I see that you guys also notices the difference in Quality and stuff that makes 'less Sense' this is because from season 6 on they stopped following the books unfortunately! These show writers couldn't handle the strong characters and dialogue...
I personally think that Olly deserved mercy. He definitely deserved to be locked up for what he did, but not killed. He was literally a child who was manipulated by the adults around him. I know what he did was wrong, but people always seem to forget that he was surrounded by grown men who were whispering in his ear and who specifically targeted him and his anger toward Jon to use it against him and betray him. He felt hurt and unheard which he made clear to Jon multiple times, but Jon didn't do a good enough job to explain and show him exactly how serious the situation with the white walkers was. You have to remember, only Jon and Sam really knew how big the threat was because they saw it first hand. All Olly saw from his point of view was Jon extending an olive branch to the people who slaughtered his family and traumatized him, which would of course infuriate and confuse any child his age who looked up to Jon and saw him as a leader. He also probably thought that Jon letting the wildlings in would lead to more of his people getting killed again. Again, I know him betraying Jon was the wrong way to handle it, but Jon of all people should be able to see that he was clearly being manipulated by Alister who hates him. Olly was still very young and I think with the right guidance from Jon, he could have changed his views eventually. You just can't expect a child to get over something like that or understand the severity of the situation that easily or quickly.
@araceli2827 I didnt say he was manipulated to hate jon. He clearly was already very angry with him. But he was definitely manipulated to act on those feelings in the way that he did.
@edn Bet, I will see them in a bit. Will you perhaps look into some theory videos, though? The books are very different from season 4 onwards. Alt shiwft x has good theory videos on them.
Unpopular opinion, I totally get Ollie's anger... Truth is wildlings did kill his entire family right in front of him! In his shoes we'd still be fuming too. We're all rooting for Arya avenging her family and giving zero f*s, imagine telling her she needs to remove the Freys from her get got list because we need the living to fight the dead? She wouldn't go for it. Hell, we woudn' got for it, the Freys killed Robb and Cat! Literaly the only reason why she's with the faceless men right now is because she wants the skills to avenge her family. So let's keep it real, we're mad at Ollie for his betrayal but really Jon is the one who switched sides and expected everyone to follow. His decision meant saving and working with the people responsible for the destruction of Ollie's village, ruthless people! Now obviously we all get why he did what he did and support him, but from Ollie's perspective and as a kid fuelled with anger and grief I'm not sure I would have acted any differently...
12:11 dual wielding is difficult to learn mostly because you have to learn to be ambidextrous and how to work both swords at the same time (especially if you going to be using longswords like he's using but I think that's just wild of him) but if you can master it, it's like have two swords AND two shields at the same time.
I know Adison couldn’t wait to watch these episodes back to back lol

Mayn, flush that 💩
i think its pretty funny they dont wanna accept that there is nothing after death nor that melisandre brought him back
Yeah. They have a hard time keeping their religious views out of the show. Same thing with them judging the women for things that they don’t care the male character’s do.
@@rai2423 true they also dont seme to see the parallel between the sparows and what catholic church in the middle ages
Thank you! Monday unlocked 🎉❤😂
You guys really spoiling us
You guys are so intellectual and funny! I really enjoy your reaction to GOT :)
I see that you guys also notices the difference in Quality and stuff that makes 'less Sense' this is because from season 6 on they stopped following the books unfortunately! These show writers couldn't handle the strong characters and dialogue...
Ollie had to go.
You hit on just about every point.
He believed in what he did.
What’s crazy is that it was Sam that gave him the push to act. The talk when John was headed to Hardholme.
He did what he dud. He was a man of the nights watch. He killed the Commander. He received mercy with a quick death
I don't think he was manipulated to hate Jon, he hated him as soon as he came back that time and knew he was friends with wildings
@araceli2827 I didnt say he was manipulated to hate jon. He clearly was already very angry with him. But he was definitely manipulated to act on those feelings in the way that he did.
Thank you for posting so fast. Need this especially this week.
My monday needed this 🔥
I don't want to stereotype y'all but I feel like I just experienced a drive-by with this drop
Olie got what he deserved like the others.
I would love to see you guys react to theory/book lore videos after the show is finished.
I actually have checked out season 1 & 2 history & lores videos in the live section of this channel.
-Adison
In Westoros being hung is a sign of disrespect
That's why Tormund's joke was actually super respectful, since Jon is definitely not hung
@OfficialACM 😂😂😂😭😭😭
Great reaction - this episode was a lot! Some bangers coming - keep up the good work EDN!
Calling a WOLF a dog is crazy 😂😂😂😂
Team It is what it is! What if the Red Woman wasn’t there? He killed Igritt and he stabbed Jon in the heart.
12:11 dual wielding is difficult to learn mostly because you have to learn to be ambidextrous and how to work both swords at the same time (especially if you going to be using longswords like he's using but I think that's just wild of him) but if you can master it, it's like have two swords AND two shields at the same time.
