Thanks. I made the white chicken chili. I am a vegetarian, husband a meat eater cook once ,divided then add chicken to his. He love it . It was a win in my house.
You need to keep potatoes and onions apart from each other Robyn. Thank you for this video and the info about the other ladies. We only have the cupboards in our kitchen, no pantry and only a small fridgefreezer. We are going to make a start this week by clearing some place in the house to create our new pantry. We are in Ireland but did have the shock of the pandemic like everyone else so we will follow your lead and prepare for the unexpected as best we can. Love vera
Love your cooking videos but I hate cooking. Not cooking as such but the mess that I make. Love how organized you keep your home and how clean you cook. Love your calming voice.
Robin . . . We use canned chicken breast in a lot of things - chicken salad, chicken & noodles, quesadillas, etc. I always keep it in the pantry in case I don't have chicken in the freezer. I try to keep pre-cooked and shredded chicken breast in the freezer but sometimes the pantry is necessary. **Quick tip for shredding cooked chicken is to use your stand or hand mixer - shreds it in no time!! I am also gluten free so I love your recipes! Your hair looks amazing and is about the same length and style as mine. I have also decided recently to grow out my natural gray/white hair. Wish me luck!! Love your videos by the way.
Thank you Carol! I will be trying a lot more with canned chicken. It’s a great pantry staple. I’m so glad you are joining me on the journey to gray hair! I’ve got a new video going up Thursday! 🤫😉😄💛
Robin, I found your channel last week and immediately subscribed. I just recently retired and after about a week or so of “relaxing” I started to get antsy. I’m the kind of person who needs a routine so your clean with me and cook with me videos really inspired me to start a healthy schedule/routine for my week. This is the first time in my life that I’ve been a full time homemaker since I had little ones at home but I’m LOVIN it so far, however, I had some adjusting to do. Keep up the great videos!
I have really loved your stocking pantry and cooking from the pantry videos. I can’t wait to try your recipes and hope you do more of these videos. I really appreciate that you show how to make gluten free recipes from regular recipes. I’m new to gluten free cooking and you make it so simple. Thank you so much!
I can’t wait to try the smoked sausage/potato dish when we go camping at an October rally. It sounds perfect for a cool camping evening. Thanks for sharing!
I'm going to try these! I've been in a pattern I can't seem to get out of lately of cooking the same things. These recipes will give us something new. We have most of what we need for them on hand.
That black bean soup looks really good! So far we have really loved your creamy lentil soup and your Instant Pot chicken tacos. I always look forward to your videos ❤️
I did the enchilada skillet last night and it was a HIT!! This family of 7 approved! Thank you for sharing--perfect timing as I was needing some new recipes! :)
Thanks for the reminder about the sausage meal. As you said, so simple really but I have the sausage and I have potatoes and green beans that I have canned to put together for a meal. Yesterday I used my pantry for a soup. I had a can of Northern beans that didn’t seal when I had canned some so I know I needed to use it. I took a canned ham that I had bought and never tried yet, diced it up and browned it with an onion and a couple carrots. Added 2 cans of chicken broth, garlic powder and the can of northern beans- no salt because ham was salty enough. My son who is very picky said it was one of the better soups I have made. I will be stocking up on canned ham as I can.
@@FaithandFlour I wouldn't have thought to either if a friend hadn't suggested it to me. Of course it isn't like the ham we have at Thanksgiving, but if we really can't get out, or it gets to the time where it isn't safe to get out, it's nice to be able to just pull things from pantry, fridge and freezer and make a meal. I don't know if you can foods, but I learned to can this past June and when I find a good deal on meat, I can it so it is shelf stable. I have canned chicken, roast beef, corned beef, hamburger and pork. For instance, I could open a can of the pork, just warm it in a pan. Since it is cooked since pressure canning, it will shred easily and all I would have to do is add bbq sauce and we can have bbq sandwiches. With the roast beef, and even the canned roast beef you can purchase in the store, you could easily warm that up, makes some pasta and have beef and noodles. You can use the canned chicken like you showed in your video to make a chicken pot pie, make chicken salad for sandwiches, etc. I'm still learning and at times it can seem overwhelming because I can look at what is in my pantry and go blank. I've been making a list of the meals I can make from my pantry to look at when I meal plan for the week.
This is a great follow up to last week’s prepper pantry video. I also watched the links you posted last week and started my own pantry in my laundry room. I even bought a new shelf and put it together myself! I hate to think that things will get worse again but it helps to be prepared and to have a plan. Thank you so much. Robin!
Yum!!! Definitely trying these ♥️ God bless you hope you & yours stay well. Thankful I found your channel. There’s no greater place of ministry than that of a godly mother. ♥️✨
Great meal ideas and easy enough to put together quickly. I cleaned out and reorganized my pantry this weekend and made room for some extra prepper ingredients, so your timing is wonderful! Thanks, Robin!
Good morning Robin! These are great recipes and you explain everything so well. The green beans, potatoes, sausage sounds really yummy and will be trying that for dinner. Have a great Sunday!
Thanks for sharing! I will be making the white chili very soon. Our family loves the sausage, green bean( frozen beans can be used) and potatoes. I make it in the slow cooker and serve with cornbread muffins. Perfect hardy meal for a busy day. Also I love your new hair style. Have a blessed day, Christy Sells
Hi Robin - I am still loving your haircut. It really becomes you. Also, its such a good idea to have recipes you can cook from your pantry. One of my friends has told me about the sausage, potato and green been recipe and she says her family loves it too. I never have cared for canned chicken but have some in my pantry that I bought during the early days of this pandemic. I’ll try to use it on the enchilada recipe. I have been off my game in all areas. In cooking, cleaning and watching my weight. This is so unlike me and I have been speaking to the Lord about it. I need to turn this around because it is affecting my mood negatively. But God has always been faithful to me and I know with His help, I’ll get back on course. I have been thinking about Noemi and hoping they are ok with the Oregon fires. She said they are on a level one evacuation order. I love her videos and so glad you told me about her. Is Kyle doing ok at college? Rachel is already home after only 3 weeks due to the COVID on her campus and will finish this semester from home again. This is such a difficult time for all. Love you in Christ sweet friend.
Thank you Donna! I think we are all off our game in one way or other during this time. I know God hears your prayers and is there for you as you make the necessary changes to get back on track. I have been in touch with Noemi and she is doing well, but prepared with a plan for everything in case they have to evacuate. I know she would appreciate your prayers. Kyle is in a off campus apartment, so he is able to do his online classes from there. Not perfect, but he is doing well. I’m confident that this too will pass! God bless you my sweet friend! 🙏😊💛
Hi April! I have not tried the crockpot for this recipe, but I'm guessing around 5-6 hours on High. You may want to add the green in the last hour so that they do not get mushy. 😊🌻💛
Hi Linda! I have a 3 quart and an 8 quart instant pot. The 3 quart size would be fine for two people, but if you like to double recipes to stock your freezer, then I would go for a 6 quart. 😊🌻💛
Another great food-related video, Robin. I've already shared it with my grown daughter. ~ Do you mind if I pick your brain a bit (in a fun way)?! Are there any kitchen gadgets, small appliances or other kitchen items that you bought, thinking you'd get great use from them, but then did not? On the other hand, are there any kitchen gadgets, small appliances or other kitchen items that you (perhaps reluctantly) purchased, thinking that you may not get good use from then, then you happily did? Many thanks, and have a great week!
That is a great question Linda! I would have to give it more thought to answer your question well, but in general, I have found that in the past when I purchased items that had only one purpose I realized that they just took up space without adding real value to my kitchen. Now, I try to purchase things that have multiple uses. For example, the Instant Pot. I can use it in place of a slow cooker, yogurt maker, steamer and as a pressure cooker. There are exceptions of course - I love my grapefruit knife! But this is a topic that I would love to explore in a future video. Thanks for the great suggestion! 😊🌻💛

Hi Barbara. I buy the store brand from our local store (HEB in Texas). Look for one that just contains chicken, water and salt. 😊🌻💛
Yummy😋
