Bass and any other topwater lure will work for big predators
Zarlight needs to take that spoon out to the bay and do some deep vertical jigging with it. I bet that thing would slam down deep

I love fishing but i can't fish because i can't buy a rig. But I'm thankful that you're here. More power to your channel
Unless you're 100% broke, you can definitely get by with a cheap rig. Walmart has a 10$ Ozark Trail brand rod and reel combo that I've been using as a backup and have caught plenty of bass on it.
You could probably get by spending 10$ on the rod/reel, ~6$ on some line, then another 15-20$ on a couple soft plastics,weights, and hooks. Under 40$ and you're good to go!

I pretty much use 20 Lb braid with a 3 foot 15 Lb fluorocarbon leader for 80% of my bass fisbing!
I saw a video where a guy caught a fish using a damn wrench with hooks on it. I wouldn't be surprised if an actual spoon as a lure did pretty well

I just saw a snapping turtle eat a baby duck last weekend I didn’t know that snappers actually go for ducks we tryed to save it but the baby duck was done it’s organs were hanging out and it’s leg was just dangling eventually the turtle came back and finished it so it didn’t goto waste
