Raph was dubbed the angry one at times but in reality, he was the heart and soul of the Turtles. Alot of his anger stemmed from the fear of loosing the ones he loved, and he never shied away from danger if it meant protecting his brothers, or Master Splinter.
Raphael literally sounds like a New York Gangster in this series, and I love it! It's Funny and badass at the same time. He's kinda like a TMNT Version of Mugsy.
Raph in most versions was meant to be the tough New Yorker out of all the brothers. Many often classify it as a Brooklyn accent. Thank the 1990 film for starting the trend. Edit: I seriously miss hearing his New York styled accent in the recent incarnations (same goes for Mikey with his Cali/surfer accent). 😢

Man TMNT 2003 was amazing, but also relatable, especially Raph. I kind of have anger issues, have a hard time admitting when I'm wrong, and saying sorry(I AM working on it though). When I was younger, he was my favorite because I thought he was badass but now, I relate to him a lot. The part where he apologized to Mikey and his fam was heart warming and reminded me of how I act. I'm also glad to know that TMNT 2003 is still popular because it was part of my childhood and it still rocks to this day.

I started as Donnie and then a bit of a Mikey period that was cut short where I am Raph almost all the time. I still do have both Donnie and Mikey moments ig but somehow usually turns back into an overall Raph mood. Though I feel like its just cus people in my life like to drive me nuts.
