      She gets a lot of disrespect and stick from tennis 'fans' for some reason, and I honestly don't see why. She's not arrogant, she's not whiney, she's not nasty to the opponents or crowd. Just because she's better than the likes of Gauff, Svitolina, Jabeur, all the British women, and the other media and fan favourites is no reason to dislike her. I've been a big fan for some time now. She's still young and should hopefully develop into a great of the modern tennis era. How she's prepared for the French Open will likely determine whether she'll hold onto the number one spot. Personally I don't think it overly bothers her. It can take the pressure off if she's not got a target on her back.

      Sabalenka grunts loudly, Gauff complains and argues with the umpire despite being wrong, Rybakina doesn’t like interviews, but it still seems Iga is the one that is the most targeted. Why? Because she’s the best, everybody knows it and can’t get over it 😂

    Huge respect for Iga; she proved in this match why she is #1 in the world. It's the best possible response to the AO loss. Not only did she win the title in Doha for the third time in a row, but in the final, she defeated Rybakina, who, so far, appeared as the most serious threat next to Sabalenka. Congratulations also to Rybakina, as thanks to her, this match was so good; far more enjoyable to watch than the last AO final. A great promotion for the entire WTA.

      If you're talking about the whole season, Rybakina isn't a threat to Świątek at all, she doesn't consistently win enough tournaments to get the points. Gauff is far more threatening. If she keeps winning the way she has been lately, she's going to be far more of a problem to Iga than Sabalenka, too. Note also that both Sabalenka and Rybakina are already in their peak age, Gauff is still very young and gaining experience, and she's already closing in on #2.
      If you're talking only about the matches themselves, than Ostapenko is more threatening than Sabalenka.

      Have you followed her draws in the grand slams? Its mostly subpar players on route to the final, maybe except her 2nd RG. She thrives on slow courts, which most tournaments do now to have more "entertaining" tennis and longer points. More players will figure her out eventually. That's not to say shes not fantastic. She's def one of the best for sure, but i'd like to see actual challenge at all. Look at how RF dominated the weaker era before Rafa and Novak came out - this is reminiscent of that era.

      Yes you're right, and she is not bad at Slams at all. Today it's hard to dominate because everyone is growing so fast, but she still managed to win 4 before turning 23. That's excellent compared to the rest!

    • @stefanmoravcik598
      @stefanmoravcik598 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lehieu3308 The question is: can she really improve on that number in future years? Everyone is going crazy about her 4 slams at this supposedly "young" age of 22, but as we all know, there have been several players (Seles and Graf, just to name a few) who achieved even more before even turning 20. And it"s no secret that a player with no serious weapon or money shot, and with very little improvements or adjustments, is doomed to be beaten more and more in the future. I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be the same with Iga, but you have to admit there's a lot to be desired for in her game, as we saw yesterday in that 1st set.

By practicing together, they could become even better, rule the world for a long time, and revive the wta! They both remind me of Rafa-Fed combo, pure class, no drama, just beutiful tennis.. and finally 1ga manages to break through her mental barier with Elena. Now we can hopefully enjoy many more of these excruciating but incredible rallies between them. It is official: this is the rivalry to look forward to. Rome revealed it last year with the tennis they both displayed, and this confirmed it. These 2 play THE BEST WOMEN'S TENNIS on the planet! @westonmeyer3110 correct me if I'm wrong, but I can feel some bitterness in your words, I think it's unnecessary.. I can see you're Elena fan, and that's great, but she doesn't have anything to regret in this match, it was a great fight! And she's winning a lot already. Besides, this win for 1ga just means she's finally understood she can PLAY Elena and not freeze like she did in IW and AO last year. That doesn't mean she'll win at all. In fact, I estimate that by the end of both of their careers, Elena will have probably won 60% of their matches, much like Rafa against Fed.. it's just that kind of a match up. But it doesn't mean we can't enjoy their matches! On the contrary, we can, and should, cos the rallies they can play against each other are top notch! No regrets, as long as they both leave it all out there, just like they did today.. ✌️🌙

      I expected Iga to win this match and I was very impressed by Rybakina’s improvement on returns and defense and especially her slice. I knew Iga’s improvement on serve and the overall conditions on the court would give her the advantage she would need when Rybakina was slightly tired before the match even started.
      Rybakina can get a lot better than this and she needs to fix her serve a bit to get the 1st serve percentage back up to the mid 60s at least but she definitely did the best she could with the energy she had left and only 54% 1st serves and that bodes extremely well for her future.

      Thank Pliskova for withdrawing from the match against Iga. Pliskova gave the title to Iga and that’s a fact. They were not in equal conditions. Elena played a match yesterday while Iga read books and listened to Taylor Swift. I repeat, thank Pliskova for this victory and don’t think too much about yourself.

    I like both of them.. Iga's win should help her mentally. May be the windy conditions troubled Rybakina more in the first set. Also Iga was smart to put the balls in the middle to avoid angled shots from Rybakina.

    Congratulations to Swiatek on winning this tournament for the 3rd time in a row. What a huge achievement it is for her. She also finally defeated Elena Rybakina for the second time in her career. She truly deserves this tittle. Yes, Rybakina was slightly injured, but overall 1ga Swiatek was the better player in the end. I wish for both of them good luck in Dubai WTA 1000 event next week.

    I love that Elena isn't content in just being a mindless ball basher from the baseline, and is actively moving forward up to the net whenever there's an opportunity. Her volley skills are not quite there yet, but It's good to see that she's working hard to improve many aspects of her game. Congrats to Iga for winning Doha 3 times in a row! 😱 a fully deserved win
