The 2022 US Open runs from August 23 - September 11 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 142nd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Daniil Medvedev is the men’s singles reigning champion and Emma Raducanu is the women’s singles reigning champion. Last year, both players claimed their first Grand Slam title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. This year’s tournament is set to feature a range of greats and future stars looking to add to their records and cement their place in tennis history. Iga is like many of the great ones. She does't let you see more of her game than she needs to. She raises her level when it becomes necessary.
I agree... She raises her tennis level when necessary during critical moments. She demonstrates a high level of tennis IQ
Swiatek movements on the court is simply amazing. Such speed, sliding on hard court, stamina to run so much intervals, positioning herself on court. Also great hard hits often on line. There are some aspects that she can still improve a bit like serv, bit fact the she can play like this with not top form is crazy.
Sabalenka played well, maybe even very well, but it was not enough.

Krzyczące tenisistki mam nadzieję, że jak najrzadziej będą grywać w finale by widz mógł sie delektować dzwiekiem piszczących butów, odgłosem piłki i rakiety, oraz w spokoju bez zatykania uszu obejrzeć widowisko.
Istnieją niezliczone badania dowodzące, że krzyczenie przy odbijaniu piłki nie jest taktyką mającą na celu zdeprymowanie przeciwnika tylko naturalną reakcją niektórych osób. Była już jedna taka tenisistka której ciągle zwracano uwagę że jest za głośna i powinna się zamknąć. W końcu uległa presji, przestała krzyczeć przy odbiciach i przegrała przez to wielkoszlemowy finał.
Cieszę się że Iga wygrała, ale przestańmy ciągle wylewać kubły pomyj na graczy którzy sobie trochę jęczą.
nie wiesz o co biega - Aryna jest fanką Bruce Lee i podobnie jak Bruce przy uderzeniu wydaje okrzyki - no każdy ma jakieś hobby :)

Swiatek has the whole package: speed, athleticism, variety, versatility, court sense and smarts. Very few other top women players can put as much topspin on the ball.

The thing the i like about tennis is that power isn't everything. Iga is not the biggest or hardest hitter but the ability to change direction and have that aggressive mindset to attack sets her apart from the other players who are less powerful
Iga hits pretty hard she just doesn't screen or grunt like some others. I would wager that her average ball speed is as high as anyone on the women's tour.

Iga's coach- Wiktorowski used to train Radwanska. She was the crowd's favourite because of her finesse play, trick and drop shots and playing enjoyable to watch tennis overall. Many of her shots were the best shots of the game or tournament. Yet, she never won a Grand Slam and most of her points were coming from smaller tournaments, despite being world No. 2 at some point. She was losing many games against more powerful opponents, especially when playing against Serena. In the end, it is all about who is raising the trophy.
