I believe that "extra piece of fabric" is the petticoat lining and you are wearing it upside down. That fabric is supposed to be against your body to protect your skin from the rough petticoat fabric. However, I think you have created a great hack for getting extra volume at the top of a petticoat for the cupcake silhouette.

Can I just say I love your style? You've got a kind of, dark sweet thing going on and it's something I don't see very often!

Those BTSSB dresses at the beginning were gorgeous. I might have found some more dream dresses! (Even though I just bought my second! XD) This video reminded me that I need to pick up a 35mm petticoat.

Yeah, I love those Baby dresses, too! I especially like the chocolate themed ones and the SA KU RA Wa dress!
Yep, 35 cm is perfect for casual wear!

Quite informative. I like the comparisons of with and without.
My biggest issue with finding a petticoat is that I'm plus sized and most won't accommodate my 100 cm waist. 😪 "will it fit" is usually my biggest consideration. Luckily, my style is more classic than sweet, so I don't need massive poof. I'm also strange in that I don't like massive poof on my (though I have wide hips so many things flare out wide even without trying).
I do have a question about hoop petticoats.... how do you fold them? I watched videos and still can't get the one I bought folded properly back into its bag.

This petticoat in particular comes in 2 different waist measurements. I would definitely try to check if your petti of choice comes in a larger size!
I personally kinda fold my hoop skirt in half and store it in a suitcase that I don't have anything else in. Alternatively, you can lay it flat and hang it by the hoops if that's easier. I'll definitely show this off in my hoop skirt video, but you can also check out Katelin Kimmet's hoop skirt video, as she explains how to store it!

      @@diamondthestorm Thank you.
A lot of the ones I've seen (like Aurora & Ariel) seem to only come in one size. I've seen many random ones even listed without a waist measurement (I just assume they're small).
I have seen some Boguta ones on devil inspired ... I just looked and a few of the newer ones have larger sizes. The ones with the stars on the bottom are all too small.
I'll have to look up Katelin Kimmet. Thanks.

@@ashleyien1222 No problem! Yeah, I do think if no measurement is listed, it's best to just skip it unless it specifies. I think Boguta might be a good place to start looking, but try not to buy from DevilInspired directly, they aren't the best reseller to use. Good luck!

@@ashleyien1222 I am here to tell you aurora and Ariel does custom sizing! I have one myself and it fits wonderfully! I highly recommend them! You will just need to contact the shop and ask! Another petticoat I recommend would be melikestea and tulutulu! Their Pettis are amazing!

      @@Rhythmloid Thank you.
I'm not sure how to request custom sizing. I don't see an option on the taobao shopping service I've used. 😅
I think when I checked Tulutulu last year everything was out of stock or something. I haven't checked back.

Very helpful video !! Did boguta stop selling a 45cm option or was it the 40cm that you got? I can only find 40cm and 55cm options on the item listing :(

    Hi!
I'm considering getting this petticoat in the future, but i was wondering whether it uses crinoline/wired support.
Also do you know how it compares to aurora and ariel petticoat, i wasn't sure if you had one but if not that's ok.
Also, how is the petti still holding up? still good?

    • @diamondthestorm
      @diamondthestorm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

So sorry for the late reply, I never saw this comment T__T I don't know how it compares to A&A since I've never owned one, but it's still holding up quite well, so I still highly recommend it!
