    My top guitar of 2024. They were so good and so well priced (under $700) that I bought two!

    I love mine 😊 orange with rosewood is the one I got. It’s my favorite guitar currently. Blows my fenders away.

    Got mine in Ice Blue Metallic with a maple fretboard-love the pickups' versatility and personality! Super comfy, stays in tune, and the tremolo is awesome. Totally in love!

      got the same at 15% off, kept getting bummed with never finding the perfect fender. This guitar, just wow. Normally not a maple neck guy but this my current FAVORITE in my rack. yerp, they are that good.

    I bought one of these when they first came out. Before it even arrived I had a set of locking tuners for it. After a restring and a setup with locking tuners this guitar punches way above its price range. I've never been a strat guy but I love this guitar. It's the first Stratocaster style guitar that I Don't see myself selling.

    I bought my NF3 SE in November . . . Ice Blue Metallic with maple fretboard. What Zack Robertson said about it is *exactly* what I love about it. All pickup settings are clear and crisp, love the tone in both clean and gain situations. Love the lighter weight, the satin neck feel, it stays in tune and was perfectly intonated out of the box, it has the whammy bar if you need it, and it actually sounds like a great Tele (IMO) without being a Tele. To sum it up -- love it, glad I bought it. Oh yeah -- for $671 new, plus tax.

    I own this guitar. Mating it up with an eq pedal it can cover a lot of territory. I use the Source Audio programmable EQ. I have one setting with a hump to simulate humbuckers and one setting boosting the highs and scooping the mids for Strat tones. These are very subtle settings. It doesn’t take much.

    Really want to try one of these! I played a Silver Sky in a guitar shop and absolutely loved it, but the neck radius was a bit too curved for me. I love the 10” radius neck on my 594, and the idea of having a satin feel version is very appealing. As is the single coil voiced humbuckers

    I remember when the Narrowfield pickups first came out, they weren't well-received in terms of their sound and how they looked (especially in the core models). Now they're coming back with a vengeance it seems, or at least that's what PRS marketing wants us to believe. I think the big advantage here is the price point of the SE line. You can try them out and see if they're your thing without having to get a second mortgage.

    I've got one in Gunmetal Grey with a rosewood fretboard. Other than that and maybe the White with maple fretboard version. I think they dropped the ball on the color options, especially the pickgaurds. I'm happy with mine. Just wish they would've offered more than one color with a white pickgaurd. White pickup covers and pickgaurds would go along way towards some more simple color combinations. Peace!

    NF3 have cool pickups. There's a Narrowfield in the neck on my Satin semi hollow Vela. Vela is an Awesome guitar.

    I have the SE NFS, it’s a wonderful guitar - but it did have a bit of a noise issue, I had to have mine copper shielded and also upgraded the volume and tone pots to CTS, and added a treble bleed. Also I wish the SEs shipped with locking tuners. The tuning stability is definitely an issue.
    All those things aside though, it’s a great guitar for the money.

    As an owner of 2 Core NF3's I was curious for the SE version for a travel guitar. Tried one a Sweetwater and could tell right away that it wasn't even close to the core model. The neck profile is different and it just felt a bit cheap in my hands. But, it's probably a great guitar to start out on and great for the price. And yes I understand it's suppose to be different, otherwise PRS wouldn't sell any core models. But please don't keep comparing it to the core.......

    I have a Studio with Narrowfields, they dont quack at all like real singlecoils. More like mini Humbuckers. I wonder how much these differs, but in reality, if you want singlecoils, get some singles

    • @narichey1981
      @narichey1981 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are lots of different 'single coils'. These nf3 pickups didn't sing exactly like strat pickups, they have more body and less ice pick. But they do sound almost identical to the mfd single coils on my g&l, and they sound pretty close to the p90s in my revstar. Single coil doors not only mean strat pickup. What I do notice about these (got a gunmetal and maple se) is that every position it's usable, sounds good without having to tweak. Especially the bridge, which I find let much useless on strata, I only ever use neck, neck middle, and middle, but on this one the bridge pickup is bright but still sounds beefy and not shrill. Just extremely usable and useful sounds everywhere

    Just make an accurate recreation of the Alex Lifeson black CE-24. Or at least allow us to make Private stock CEs. I went through the whole process of configuring one at a PS dealer only to be told you don’t do PS bolt on guitars. Ugh…

      The first time I saw Rush live I remember Alex playing that CE-24 on "Leave That Thing Alone". I wanted one ever since. Finally bought a satin black CE-24 a couple years ago.

    There is a PRS Video promoting the NF53 in Nashville, now it's the NF3 in Nashville, the NF3 which seems like a better choice and less expensive, kind of cancels out the NF53 and Silver Sky line up.

  • @FastRedPonyCar

    If you want to hear what the NF3 sounds like through a MUCH meaner high gain amp, I played it through a 100w 5153 and 4x12 cab in my demo video. Shockingly, it just took it and sounded great.
    Hey PRS marketing, hit me up and let me demo some more of your stuff! I've got a couple other PRS reviews too.

    • @randrothify
      @randrothify หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jöe-877While the blackguard look works for T-Style guitars because of the blunt instrument vibe of the body style, the are underwhelming on graceful and svelte S-Style bodies. Just a little too 1980‘s heavy metal, skater music, partscaster vibes with this look and color palette. Why not add some white or mint pickguards, pickup covers, knob. And some richer classic metallic colors. These colors are a bit washed out.
