      Those are beautiful guitars. A friend of mine from high school bought one of those, and was definitely 2003 as well. Always wanted a mateo blue prs because of it, but alas, I ended up with a black cherry custom 22 in 2007. Wasn’t my dream PRS but now I couldn’t imagine not having it.

    Prs guitars are amazing.
    Just bought a ce24 sandblasted and i am floored with how good it is. My first was a 245 with duncan 59 in the bridge and a seth lover in the neck. What an amazing combination that is. Then got a stock 594 that blew my mind. Those led to the new red sandblasted ce24 and it has raised the bar again.

    My god. When you first hear the black one. How can you top it? But then he pulls the “gaudy” one & it does sound even more killer! They sound so good that if you were in the market for a Gibson Les Paul, & being honest with yourself, & want the better guitar, you would be doing yourself an injustice not to at least demo it against a PRS. If you could somehow be blindfold & couldn’t tell by the weight & feel differences & some passed it to you, I almost wonder how you wouldn’t choose the PRS? That’s my take on those 2 brands!

    • @CJZM7777
      @CJZM7777 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The tail piece is compensated like an acoustic guitar and there are 2 adjustment screws where the tail piece attaches to the mounting posts. You can shift the entire piece at the top post and the bottom post up or back a bit. I own a PRS S2 singlecut with an adjustable single tail piece and you can also swap out the compensated tail piece on the guitar in the video for the fully adjustable tail piece. Look up a PRS Zach Mayers SE to see the adjustable single tail piece. By the way, I think my PRS S2 tail piece is the most comfortable to play of any guitar I have ever played.

    I have a PRS CE Semihollow that is a great workhorse guitar. But dollar for dollar, I have to say that Ibanez is vastly underrated and makes a better guitar. My LB-1 cost LESS than my PRS, but has Seymore Duncan pickups, a compound radius fretboard, 9 tone possibilities, bone nut, a sonic range that is ridiculous, and stays in tune for weeks on end. So I have to respectfully disagree with Tim…at least based on my experience.

    PRS guitars seem to be stuck in this "neutral zone" between Fender and Gibson. They're double cut, but have bound mahogany bodies. They have humbuckers, but they have a slider switch. PRS wants to be this thing somewhere between Gibson and Fender, but they're really neither and stuck somewhere between the two. They don't seem to have an identity of their own. They also don't have a "sound". When you hear them it sounds empty.
    The closest I ever got to buying a PRS was the Santana SE. I played it and I did like it. Then I looked at the headstock and the birds and said "Oh, it's a PRS isn't it?".
